Hello all- I just got my G6 ( Asia dual sim model) and love it but am pissed to find out that when using Nova pro and other launchers the navigation bar does not go transparent even when the transparent settings are ticked.
All other mobiles do it but this one does not.
The option for "color" in my home keys settings is greyed out also.
Any one have any clues to help me use this full screen to its beautiful potential ?

That's really odd, because I'm using Nova Pro and transparent NAV bar works just fine. Have you got a theme loaded that might be causing it to not work?
[Edit: looks like my screen capture doesn't even show the NAV bar. I assure you that mine is transparent.]

Wow. Thats strange, Im gonna have to try and change the theme perhaps or maybe ill delete and reinstall Nova.

Nope, fully stock, unrooted Canadian version on H87310d.
I'd recommend also looking at your dock settings to make sure your dock background isn't drawing over the NAV bar. Although it looks really nice and consistent, disabling it should help you troubleshoot better

No issue here either. Nova is transparent for me. Also, there isn't root for the G6 yet. Attached a screenshot

You have to go into app scaling and select 18:9 for Nova Launcher. Then you will have a transparent nav bar.

AHA- Got it. It seems that all I needed to do was update my version of Nova. Not sure why it didnt work on my old version but its all good now, time to drool over this beautiful screen.

Hi I searched everywhere and couldnt find any answers, but I have the tmo version of the LG, I'm running Nova and see people with transparent navigation bars on the bottom. I cant seem to get it to be transparent or find a setting, I'm also on stock no rom installed. I'm rooted can any one let me know how to get the navigation bar transparent thank you!
have you looked into any xposed framwork apps? i think there might be a app on xposed that lets you do it , but im not really sure becasue i like black nav bar

Im pretty sure it requires nova launcher prime for that feature rip the apk offline and see if it works

I personally just use GSM auto hide to hide the soft keys and use LMT pie launcher. Running Nova as well.

I keep customizing my S7 edge, but there is 1 thing I couldn't customize yet : The lockscreen
With my former phone (LG G3), I tried many alternatives lockscreen, but they all had problems (battery drain, not fast enough, some lags, not fluent, etc...).
I'd like to make my lockscreen more alive, with useful informations on it. And I use fingerprint unlock.
So here is my question : Do you know a way to make it work ? A good xposed module working with touchwiz ? Or a good lockscreen app ?

Have you had a go with good lock from the Samsung store. It's pretty good at being customized.

Yes there is ! In routine's setup when you choose the clock style swipe to the top and ull find a way to add a widget
Yeah, go to routines, and clock and swipe to top, you can add one widget. I personally like the worded clock. You can also add widgets for when you swipe down for notifications.

Followed the instructions from here (https://www.xda-developers.com/add-custom-buttons-to-nav-bar-on-samsung-galaxy-s8-galaxy-s8/) to install Custom Navigation Bar on my AT&T S8.
Had no issues until I tried to add in custom pixel icons to replace the standard system ones using this guide (https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-change-your-nav-bar-icons-or-re-arrange-the-buttons-without-root/)
I downloaded the icons for a 1440p display and got them to show up, replacing the standard icons but every time I touched one of the navbar icons I got a system UI crash. Anyone know if this is an issue with using incorrectly sized icons or if it's just an issue with icon replacement in the navbar on the S8 right now?
I hope that was just a minor issue as i also would like to have the Pixel NavBar on my S8. The S8 navbar could not be seen on some good wallpapers and i really like to have the Pixel look in this phone. Someone uploaded the S8 NavBar, maybe you could copy its format.

Any update on this? Are you able to make it work?
I haven't had any luck yet but I'm not an expert, I can follow ADB instructions easily but don't know enough to troubleshoot myself unfortunately. I'm hoping it's just a matter of time before someone figures it out.
Not working on Touchwiz (S8 is partially supported) think that gives it away in the thread of the app

Good catch -- I just noticed that. Figured Touchwiz was supported since the app was recently updated with S8 support in the app notes. Bummer.

Indeed it works but you get that disturbing and lagging black bar underneath.. Did the apps got updated for oreo by now? Does anyone know?

it's @tytydraco, but he himself still can't make one for Oreo, i don't think it will ever be like 0pt.navbar, at least without root.

I dont with my setup? Theres only ever a black bar when the keyboard pops up. The rest of the time there is zero navbar and I just use gestures. I barely notice I don't have a navbar anymore.

You can adjust the height via the adb. Work perfectly with my swipe gestures. And no useless bar under the keyboard.

I just recently flashed to 20h on my H918. I also run Nova Launcher. I am having some trouble with the icon sizing options. I typically run with the icons rather large (140-150%). What appears to be happening is that the LG option for Display Size (found in Settings | Display | Display Size) is interfering with Nova trying to resize the icons. The preview in Nova Settings shows the icons as huge but the actual icon sizes don't come anywhere close to the preview size.
I have tried selecting and deselecting each of the options in Nova Settings | Look & Feel | Icon Style with no good results. I've also tried third-party icons packs to see if that made a difference. My wife's phone is still running 10t and with the same version of Nova, does not see the issue.
Any suggestions?
I have the same issue on AO's 8.0 Rom. I just accepted that it's the case and live with it (bumping up the size in Nova to the max to compensate some).
