Hi,
Has anyone had any success in rooting S7 Edge without wiping data on it? I have seen many threads on TWRP recovery, CF-Autoroot but seemingly they will wipe the data while rooting. I accidentally deleted some of my important photos and need to recover them. But all the recovery software require that the phone be rooted.
Thanks in advance.

Apologies if this question has already been asked, but is it possible to unroot a i9500 without losing data? I used CF root if it matters.
Saw this thread, but it involves a factory reset and will result in data loss.
The objective is to get the OTA updates as they roll out and then root again

flashing stock firmware with odin, dont wipe data.
but sometimes you need to wipe data if you stuck in a bootloop after flashing.
make backup before.

want to find a way to save my N4 without wiping data!
Have you tried to pull the data off using ADB? Have you tried flashing TWRP and mounting the data partition in TWRP?

You can use CWM or other recovery to back up the entire data, flash your os and then restoring the data.
Is there a way to root my stock S8 R16NW.G950FXXU2CREH without wiping data?
I searched the forum. It seems like wiping data is required.
Thanks in advance.
Hi guys,
I have successfully rooted this phone by following procedure described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/root-8-0-oreo-t3785267
but, this method deletes user's data
is there ANY possibility to preserve user data?
I have tried mentioned method without wiping partitions in TWRP, but got the factory reboot message and I had to flash my stock room to make it working again. Still unrooted, of course.
Thank you in advance
Hi, since I have the s7 edge cell with root and twrp recovery, I would not want to lose all the installed apps.
If I reflash the firmware and then reinstallerei the TWRP recovery and root for your phone, then I should do a wipe data / factory reset to restart the phone. So I would lose everything as happened to me in the past.
Is there a workaround so as not to lose everything? Thanks in advance.
You can backup all app be settings with titanium backup and restore free flashing your rom
