Hi guys. It´s driving me nuts. I use gboard and I drive a lot, so I use dictation frequently. It works good, but not when I´m listening to music using bluetooth in my car. It doesn´t pauses the background music, so the dictation is useless. Is anyone experiencing this or know how to solve it? I can see researching a little that it´s happened before with some gboard updates.. Thanks!

I am new to the forums so hello everyone!
I am also new to the whole rooting business, but after much research have rooted my incredible and installed froyo. I noticed though when I am listening to music and running the navigation program, whenever its telling me a direction, it stops the music and I have to manually go back to the player and unpause it.
Before updating, it would mute the music (while the song still progressed), say the directions, and then unmute the music automatically. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue or if it is a setting I just need to change?
Thank you and glad to be here!
Same issue with a UK Desire and no resolution yet I'm afraid. Does it with Google Maps and Copilot.
I'm having this issue too. Does anyone know a way around it?
I've noticed recently that after the Android 2.2 update for the Droid Incredible my music just stops completely while using Google navigation. I have to manually start the music again from its paused state every time the navigation system starts to speak.
With android 2.1 I used to be able to have the music playing and then when the navigation app needed to speak it would either just mute my music or pause it then speak and afterward resume the playback.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I'm not rooted btw with the stock rom from the Ruu that was released.
Has anyone noticed this?
Should I have just posted this in the Q&A section instead of general?
I've seen this as well, but not in every case. For example, music stops playing in Pandora, but continues in Mixzing. I'm not really sure who's the culprit in this case.

Emptied my wallet for bTune.
bTune works fine with Google Navigation and Calls, but won't works with Google Actions.
It just keep on going regardless.
Battery life is the only thread that keeping me from going back for now, to 2.1 that is.
I have noticed the same thing when using Pandora. It's a little annoying. The only work around I've found so far is to mute the navigation voice over. Not my favorite solution but the only one I have at the moment.
I've noticed this as well when using Pandora. I'd love to see a fix for this.
When I ride my motorcycle I usually have one headphone in and use Google Navigation if I am going somewhere beyond what I can memorize for directions. The bonus was that I would also run Pandora over the headphones, but no more.
Hey guys! Sorry for just appearing here with a question. I hope you can help me.
I have a really bad problem with my Galaxy S5. My S4 was fine until I updated to Lollipop, so I think that's the problem.
I'm playing music with headphones plugged in, Whatsapp notification sound plays through speakers.
That's fine.
BUT suddenly during notification, the music ALSO plays through the speakers for a few seconds! This is really frustrating because I receive messages throughout the day and don't want everyone around me to be disturbed with what I'm listening to (in library, on bus, etc.).
Thank you so much for any advice you can give me! Nothing I try works.
PS: Before Lollipop, Whatsapp notification would play on speakers and audio still through headphones. That was fine.
I have exactly the same issue.
This is so annoying. I've tried the soundabout app but it freezes my phone when starting a call.
I have root and am running extrolite rom -I don't want to flashflash Cm - without avail.
Hi,
Often, while listening to music in my car, the audio will randomly, and spontaneously, pause for no apparent reason. Sometimes it will start up again after a few seconds, but usually I'll have to hit 'play' myself. This problem is particularly apparent in Spotify, but it has happened in YouTube and Google Play Music as well. Has anyone else experienced this?
Are you plugged in? My first thought is a loose (or breaking) 3.5 mm cord.
Playback in any of those apps will auto pause when a connection is lost (bt or a cord). If you're on bt do other phones do the same thing?

Nope, connected via BT to my car's audio system. Didn't have this problem on my OnePlus One.
This happened to me and I was paying through my speakers

The last two days I have this problem too.
Parrot carkit,Lg watch,ue megaboom.
The music is sometimes lost, and then it starts again.
On my megaboom it cracks a lot.
Very annoying.
Frank_Murphy,
I have this issue as well only with the Google Music app. I can't find the source where I read it but it has something to do with the app and if there is an available video; Some songs have a wallpaper or something and some you can play a music video in the app for the song instead. You just have to hit the back/forward button and it resumes.

Hi,
After some advice on here I bought an Xtrons PB86UNVP, which I'm pretty happy with for the most part. There a just a couple of kinks I'd like to work out. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it!
First - Google maps crashes with "system ui has stopped". This only happens if navigation is running, but the Google Maps app is not currently on screen and a navigation instruction is given (e.g. "turn right"). If Google Maps is on-screen at the time, it's fine. I did update Google maps from the Play store, so maybe that introduced the issue? I would prefer to fix though rather than downgrade the app!
Second - Bluetooth and radio both have a distortion to the sound quality. The same distortion isn't there for audio played via Google Play Music on the unit itself.
I went into the developer settings menu and found what look like input levels and adjusted them, but no joy...
Also the sound sometimes drops out on Bluetooth. Can anyone help with that?
I think I have sidestepped the Google Maps problem by switching to Here WeGo maps. I'm also planning on giving TomTom Go a whirl.
Would still like to hear about potential fixes for the distortion on radio & bluetooth.
