I've already hit up @MikeChannon for a Sprint specific forum....between the unlocked/att/tmo/vzw & sprint models, only the sprint model will have a different ROM.
Sprint users, speak up
*edit*
as it stands, it's a wait & see game to see if the forums blow up after release...as for now, there has only been a Sprint Development sub-forum added
my suggestion for sprint users is if u start a new thread start w/ [Sprint] at the beginning of the thread title or at least have Sprint in the title somewhere. If there's enough Sprint specific threads, they may create a Sprint specific forum
Sprint U11 represent!

yes we need it, we need it.
I jumped ship when I bought the unlocked HTC 10, but I'll still hang out here as an honorary Sprint user )
Got tired of much slower updates and SERO stopped being a good value when compared to TMOUS $30 prepaid and Project Fi.

You have to take anything the reps say with a grain of salt....I doubt the unlocked will officially support Sprint. I know the Sprint model will have a different rom, all the others will use the same.

Can't rely on chat reps for correct info. Sprint is the only major carrier not supported by the US Unlocked U11.
"Supported carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, MetroPCS, Alaska Communications, Cricket, NET 10, Straight Talk & WalMart Family Mobile."

I asked him does unlocked comes with voicemail app he said once u activate it it will automatically download sprint apps. I wouldn't believe the Sprint reps either... Not even the Sprint model has the Voicemail app.
But hell, I'd be more than happy to flash the unlocked rom if it supported Sprint, but I highly doubt it will

Do you mean in the US or as a international tmo phone? Why would you buy a Sprint phone and try to use it on a different carrier. Just buy a T-Mobile s4. Sounds fishy.

Lol. The AT&T one was unlock-able with HTC Dev...So it wasnt "locked" by AT&T. But this will surely be encrypted and no HTC Dev support.

If so will it be on att and tmobile only or all gsm carriers?
And even if it did get blacklisted I can just get another motherboard and use that?

If I remember correctly, att and tmobile share the same database for blacklisting. Anyway, if it has a bad imei, it won't work in the usa, for all carriers.

It has a good imei I checked it and its unlocked.
If I buy it and the seller decides to report it stolen, can it still be used? The user said he has tmo on it, but bought the phone from Google. I'm on att, am I out of luck?
I don't plan on using it on att, its going to be used on Straight Talk

How can a nexus 4 get blacklisted if it's from play store anyways? You pay full price for it so it's yours. I understand if it is from T-Mobile then it can get blacklisted if it paying it in payments.

no idea but i think it would too much work for Google to do that and I highly doubt they would bother with it. Just pray the person doesnt report it. If so, be ready to move to another country to make it work .
Hi, my sister gave me a S4 from A&T; however, I have T-Mobile. My question is, I plan to unlock it to use with T-mobile, but just in case my sister need the phone back, it is possible to relock the sim so that AT&T doesn't know the phone is unlocked when my sister use it? One of her friends had trouble with AT&T for unlocking an iPhone. Just want to cover all ends.
Thanks for your help.
iPhail and Android's are 2 completely different things. When you unlock an iPhone, you have to jailbreak (root for idiots) it 75% of the time. SIM unlocking an Android device does not void the warranty. They cannot fault you for it.
Once it is done correctly, it is permanent.

Thanks for the reply. It's not about fault, but it is currently illegal in the U.S. to unlock phones prior to end of contract so I think that was the problem.
They can't tell unless they test it with a competitors SIM.

I see. So they can't tell if a phone is unlock but still uses AT&T sim, the company can't tell if it's unlocked based on the info they receive from the phone?

I doubt anybody is going to be arrested from unlocking the phone but the law is still there. I don't know the details but her friend was fined $500 for unlocking an iPhone.
The FCC just need to their asses to work and make everything legal again that's all. LOL.
They should not be able to see anything unless they go into the service menus on the device itself. They also don't really care.

In spite of what the poorly trained Samsung employees tell you, only Samsung sells the DE. And they are almost always backordered. And they are not subsidized, so retail is $699, plus shipping and sales tax. Works out to $750 total. If you keep an eye out on eBay and swappa.com, you will see used ones occasionally.

The only real difference in the DE version is the bootloader is unlocked so not restricted as the normal Verizon phones. Which I don't really understand why they block the bootloader these days to begin with.
