Well, it used to work just fine, but now every time I try to format my SD card as internal storage, it goes and says every went just fine, but whenever I try to move the apps or whatever, it says the card is corrupted.
BUT! Whenever I format my card as portable storage, it works just fine... I also get an error message every once in awhile
(Oh. I am running LineageOS 14)

Can you try another SD card?
have you tried formatting the card in your DHD?
What kind of SD card are you formatting? Model/size etc. Can you use it with your computer? Have you tried formatting it with your phone, Settings > SD & phone storage, unmount then format.
Hey thanks for everyone kind attention, i am using 8gb card, actually i have corrupted my card during formatting from my PC, and i have tried formatting from my cell phone but it didn't solve the problem accept ok popup and error again, what i did to resolve this issue is to put my sd card into my another phone which is BB, as i even can't connect it from my MAC, and formatted my sd card from BB than i put that card again into my HTC DHD and now it is working perfectly fine. =)
yea. THANK YOU SO MUCH
So, no idea what causes this. But the phone was fine till this Saturday night, it died Sunday morning, I charged it back to 100%.
Ever since then, when is start the phone it will boot up, on the notifications bar it will have "Preparing SD Card" - "Checking for Errors" and then reboot itself. And do it over and over again.
I took out the SD Card and put it back in, same issue.
Phone boots up properly without the SD card in there.
I haven't put anything on the SD card for around 2-3 weeks since I last synced my music. And music and some pictures is all there is on the SD Card. All applications are installed to Internal phone memory.
I am lost, what can I do? I can't even format the SD card if the phone doesn't stay on.
try formatting the card via pc with a memory card reader.
Had a similar problem. Had to put the sdcard in a card reader. Found some corrupt files on the card. Copied what I could to the pc, reformated the card, and copied everything back to card. Worked fine afterwards.
So my camera went crazy and refused to start. So I reset my phone and the camera was working correctly only now my SD card isn't being read by the phone. It works in other devices. But whenever I put it in my phone is auto goes to the screen that says encrypt or decrypt SD.. And when I put any SD card in it does the same thing. And when I go to storage is says "Ready" under SD card. Is there a fix for this ID rather not reset but I will of I have too. And one had this happen to them
Update.... I clicked decrypt and it worked this time. For some reason I can't encrypt anymore. Oh well works now
Hi,
My Sandisk Ultra 32GB microsd card is not getting mounted on my Moto X Play from yesterday on. It was working perfectly before that.
Problem in Detail: Yesterday when i tried to play some music only I realized that its not getting mounted. I tried removing the card and reinserting it. But it's not showing up any notification. When I went to 'Storage and USB' settings suddenly after reboot, its showing 'Unsupported' for a minute and is getting unmounted automatically.
Possible Cause: One of my friend connected my phone with USB cable to his laptop day before yesterday for transferring data. I dunno exactly whether its infected or he didn't eject it properly.
What all I Tried: Initially, I tried connecting it to my laptop using Card Reader. Fortunately, everything was fine inside the system. The file system FAT32, all the data it had, and no memory was unallocated. Afterwards I did a quick format and a complete format as well, with file system FAT32. Both didn't help anyway. Then I installed mini tool partition wizard. But haven't done anything with that yet.
Kindly help me with this ASAP.
Can you use your SD card with the phone ?I have the same problem - my sd card is not recognized by my MXP. There was some speculation that the SD card slot is not working properly or just damaged however all SD cards I have are working fine just nor with my phone. As of today there seems to be no fix to this bug.

I have tried this SD card in my friend's phone and it is working fine.
Afterwards, tried formatting the card from that phone, my laptop, (quick & complete with different names) and the tool "sd card formatter" (erased everytihng).
I even tried a factory reset of my phone.
Nothing helps. Really frustrated
try the slow format sd card option from pc...
I've just got a new Nokia 5 and tried to use a Samsung 32GB SD Card, but it starts to format and then keeps showing as corrupt. I can see the card fine on my PC and can format without any problem, but still the same on the phone. It starts to format, 20%, then it stops there for ages and then asks me to move files over. I select move now and then it goes to show SD corrupt. Is it an issue with the card? I've not tried any other card, but was using the same card in an old motorola without any issues.
I almost had the same problem with nokia 5. sd card successfully configured but after a day it was corrupted. i used two different SD cards (SanDisk Ultra 64GB & Toshiba exceria pro 32GB) but nothing was different. I lost both of them because they don't work in the PC anymore. even I can not format them.
