Atleast wait for release of sources by google...
Wait for it.. It will take time, but will surely come.(if it's feasible by devs)
Sent from my Zuk Z1 using XDA Labs

1.download
2.flash
3.reboot

wait for few months, some developers might port it for our device, at least we can have a hope even though cell is already 2 years old but that's not a big time period.

How to install android O: With the launch of Android Oreo now, it’s time to discuss how you will go about installing the update once your carrier calls it to your device.

If it's an official update it will come through OTA. There will be no other official way for sure. But for sure lenovo will never be release android Oreo for zuk z1
Discussions should be made in General section, not in Q&A section.

Waiting for Oreo please develop as soon as

[Discussion] Porting Lollipop form Xperia Z3 update

Hi guys,
I tried yesterday to install the Lollipop Xperia Z3 update on my Z2.
It booted and everything looked OK but the touch screen wasn't working.
I created it using PRFCreator and flash it using dual recovery.
If someone have any ideas to make it work please share it.
With my best regards
a.hamameh
why do we need to port it when Z2 is in the rolling update list?

yes but my point being thay Z2 should have Lollipop fairly soon, there is absolutly no point to porting lollipop to a device thats soon to recieve it.
and porting a firmware premade for one device to another isnt easy at all
that 77 rom doesnt seem to have a Z3 base.
Agreed.
Will you be making a lollipop version of your amazing ROM when the stock update is available?

I'm sure many here will not see this as a "bad bad bad news". Having an official lollipop firmware in a 2.5 old device is more than anyone could ask for. Having a solid 5.1.1 build is better than having the latest build.
More than happy with the support from SONY,and more than enough to stay on the ship

This is a bad news bcz there are many people have a( locked bootloared allowed no) so there is no custum rom based at cyanogenmod or any other custom rom ...there are just custom rom based at stock rom..so in the futur for the bootloared allowed no there are no update no officiel or any custom

So sonny should give as a solution to pass from bootloader allowed no to allowed yes for installing the custum rom :crying:
Bad news for us....but it waz expected.
Cherish to sony for long support to our old device.Better than other OEMs.
Yea 5.1.1 was the best build i agree.
But i hope(i know they will) our rom devs will port android 6.0 from other xperia devices getting dat version.Kudos to sony and our rom devs.:good::good:

I agree with you i hope our best dev make a stock rom for z and z1 based at android 6.0 for LB and UB
Creating Android M for LBL is not possible bcoz it'll need custom kernel. I think our devs'll give some test builds on next 1-2 weeks, AOSP code'll be published in 2-3 days

I'm not surprised. It's fantastic that we even got 5.1, the Z is so old now. All good things come to an end
But what I am wondering, if someone will port 6.0 AOSP... Not CyanogenMod or other forks, they are always unstable and breaking things. And will take a long time anyway.
Sent from Xperia Z via Tapatalk
I'm very happy with the updates we have had and hope that I get 2.5 years of updates on my Z5 most people would have upgraded by now anyway however if I didn't have a phone I would happily purchase the XZ. It's been a damm good phone even with a locked bootloader.

the bootloader is directly connected to the TA Partition and every phone has a unique one so its impossible to change from yes to no
Chasmodo has already said that he wont support marshmallow on Dirtyunicorn for Xperia Z.
If people were expecting Sony to support Xperia Z for as long as they own the device then they were dreaming.
We have a stable 5.1.1 be happy. The device is more than 2.5 years old....

When will Android 6 Marshmallow arrive on Zuk Z1?

Did anyone of you have an official statement from Zuk Team that Android 6.0 is under development? What about CM 13?
Official statements? None.
But I am working on a CM13 port. Check the forums...

I like it very much! I found it easy to handle and beautiful in design, so it's perfect.
You see, i already had in hands a lot of android devices with different android versions, i had in the past Htc Aria, Galaxy Note II, Panasonic Eluga X P-02E, Sharp SH-02E, Galaxy S5, Blackview Alife P1 Pro and now a ZUK Z1, that's just when it comes to android devices, i already owned windows and firefox os devices too.
I never had issues with ZUI, instead i love the way it is, on ZUK we have even the U-touch function that i would miss if on Cyanogen. It just fit's my taste.
Actually, i cannot understand how hard was it for you, but i'm kind a tech guy, i tend to have always more than one cellphone at the same time and i like to change the phone almost like a year, so when one change devices this often, i guess it's natural to find every device easy to handle, that may be the case for me.
Anyway, i think that if you use a OS for some time, even if it's bad, at some point you will get used to it. In my case with ZUI is that from the very very start i found it way better than the previous ones i used before.

What about a Cyanogen 14 build for our beloved A6K+ ?!

Recently, many older phones got the Cyanogen 14 build ROMs. Even the ancient Nexus 4 got the updated build. Is there someone who can manage to port the rom to our equally capable device?
i've already started to grab the sources from github although its still in staging phase (incomplete sources yet) . Devs will start looking if our device blobs is compatible with N or not .
So maybe soon or maybe never

What's this?!? A kind of joke the developpers did'nt made any new ROM till the last update i think the z3+ is hated
We are lucky that Z5 has the same chipset and development for it is easily moulded to suite the Z3+. Otherwise, this forum would have been silent for months.
