I was trying to find a way to center my clock so I downloaded this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...d-center-clock-android-nougat-t3447551/page19
And flashed it.
Now my phone displays a System UI has stopped message every 5 seconds. Everything works except my system ui obviously which doesn't appear. (That means I have no clock, quick settings or notifications. I also can't click on any icons including the app drawer.)
Does anybody have the stock system ui so I can flash it and replace the wrong one I flashed? Or am I going to have to factory reset?
Why would you think a Nexus SystemUI would fit with your phone?
Just flash the system image you've installed before without wipe or tell what system you're exactly running.
It's the error of Android system. Here is a video about repairing Android system issues, it can help to fix this 'System UI has stopped' error.

Hi!
I really need help, yesterday something something pop up on my phone "UNFORTUNATELY, SYSTEM UI HAS STOPPED" , I immediately search what caused this problem and how to fix it. NOTE : I never rooted my phone, I only manually update it before to Lollipop and nothing happened for a year, as I remember I update zen ui launcher I don't know if that affects the system
I tried recovery option, wipe cache and reboot nothing happend, tried to factory reset my phone in recovery options but still nothing happen. "System Ui has stopped" still on the screen.
I read one on the forum that I have to flash the stock rom, I really like to do to it since nothing happend after I factory reset the phone. Can you please guide me to do, what are the tools that i need to use.
Hope fully you can help me. Thank you.
Hello guys, I hope you can help me...
I own an A2017G Version with the latest original Firmware, no unlocked bootloader, no root, nothing changed from stock. I noticed that many preinstalled system apps require strange permissions for contacts, sms, etc... So I tried to denie them. In the official settings - apps - app permissions I removed a few entries... So for example the contact permission from the SystemUI package.
After this the phone restarted immediatelly and after the multi image bootscreen I only get a black screen. No userinterface is showing up. The only thing what is working is the power menu. The 4 entries restart, shutdown, flight modus and vibration are shown in front of a completely black Background.
So, the phone is obviously booting up fine, but it fails to start the user interface correctly. Is there any way to repair this thing, for example by resetting all the app permissions? I found the command
Code:
adb shell pm reset-permissions
but I've got ADB disabled within the rom and with the factory test mode the command fails, because it says that the device must be up and the package manager must be running for the operation. So at the moment I see no way for resetting the permissions without a full wipe... Is there still hope?
I would really appreciate any tipps!
Did you try this?
Requesting urgent help here.
After updating to the AT&T nav bar update, my phone seems to be stuck on a black screen with constant "System UI has stopped" popup dialogs.
I have tried running adb commands to uninstall Substratum which I feel is the culprit, but I recently reset my computer so my phone doesn't recognize it as a trusted device so I can't run any commands. I've also tried putting the phone into safe mode but the same black screen and "system ui has stopped" errors continue to show up.
Is there anything else I can do or will I have to factory reset?

I had the same happen after flashing to u1 and rooting but I was chalking it up to ****ing it up.
Can you take a logcat of your phone booting up and share it or at least the systemui exception you are getting? I want to see if it matches mine.

Dang sorry! I already did a factory reset.
Edit: It seems to have definitely been from a navbar mod. I installed the same mod I used to make my navbar smaller before I updated my phone and upon restarting the phone, I got the same black screen with the "SystemUI has stopped" message.
Somewhat relevant if someone checks on this thread for system UI issue and have Xposed installed.
Safe mode for xposed allowed me to peek at my device for a moment

Same issue! Applied update today and now can't even use the phone! System UI has stopped errors! Safe mode won't allow for the removal of overlays. Damn. I don't want to reset the entire phone! Any solutions!
Do you use systemui tuner?
So i recently rooted my phone and for some reason i decided to delete the system ui out of curiosity. Now the background is gone black and the notification bar has dissapeared and there is no lock screen. And it keeps saying system ui has crashed. Any idea how i can fix this??
Just flash stock rom
Hello xda. i was using a custom for a long time and it was working pretty fine until few days back which i got error "system ui has stopped". I didnt thought it was a big deal and i thought i could do a format and everything will work fine. Well after lot of formatting and rom installing the error didnt go away. I decided to go back to stock system hoping that everything will work 100%. No it didnt. i got same freaking error again. at that point it was a dead end for me. So i thought maybe internet knows what the heck is causing this. im worried that phones motherboard is dying. hope its not that.
dont restore all of your apps at first and look for any recent change you did to customize interface like xposed modules or apps, if you are on a custom rom grab original system ui from /system/priv-app and replace it manually and after that you may need to delete "runtime-permissions.xml" from /data/system/users/0 to reset permissions and solve system ui FC (you can do this from TWRP file manager), let me know if you need more help
