Notifications During Calls - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, ever since I updated to the latest version of the system software, I get notifications while I'm talking on the phone. It's really annoying that it buzzes in my ear every 30 seconds while I'm talking. It seems to be vibrate only. It is across multiple apps, text, Hangouts, gmail, etc. I found some other options on other sites but nothing that lined up with what I had as available options. Anybody know how to make this stop?

[Q] How do I stop this sound?

My phone is not rooted. This just started this week. I have not adjusted any settings for quite a while so I am pretty sure I did not do anything to cause it.
Since getting my Note 3 in October I use the voice method of inputting text for email and sms quite often. When starting a message where I want to voice inpput, I click the microphone button and speak what I want to send. Works well for me. Thursday the phone started making a loud, very annoying, beep type sound whenever I launch this by clicking the microphone. It happens even when the phone is in silent mode. I checked the sound options in the phone settings and everything is set as it has always been. All system and keyboard sounds are turned off. I also tried another keyboard app rather than the phone default and it is the same with that.
Does anyone have an idea why this started and how to silence it? Thanks!
I guess this is not an issue for others here. I did find the exact problem on another forum and it started for him just a few days ago also. So maybe something updated automatically that caused this. We will see if more people start complaining about it. By the way we have tried a few different suggestions, including resets, but nothing turns off the noise yet.
0n edit: I looked at my apps to see what recently updated. One of the recent updates was to Google Search. I uninstalled all the updates to Google Search and the problem is gone. So it is a bug in the most recent update to Google Search that turns on that sound with no way to turn it off.

G2 Switching Itself From Silent to Loud Automatically

I am one of those people who always has their phone on silent mode only (no vibrate, no sounds, nothing) as I just rely on the LED notification. Over the past couple of weeks I have noticed that when I wake up in the morning my phone is always on loud, noticeable straight away by the little jingle it plays when you unlock the phone. As I never have sounds on, this was instantly noticeable.
After a couple of days I had discovered that at 7:00am every morning my phone would automatically switch itself from being on silent to loud.
I have never ever used the quiet mode scheduling or anything similar with apps or anything else like that so I have no idea where this has come from. I have checked recently downloaded apps and none of them seem to be in the category that would need access to or change sound profiles.
I have a Three UK handset on the latest software 4.4.2 (D80220d-234-20).
To my surprise I can’t really find anything anywhere with people having the same issue so I’m a bit stuck as to what to even try now? Any one got any experience or ideas?
Will make a sort of wild guess as the timing seems right: are you running Google Now? While I do love being able to say "OK Google" from everywhere, it's been causing -- or at least I think it has -- inconsistent issues with my alarm and profile volumes not where I expect it to be and possibly conflicts with some 3rd party apps (Light Flow). For instance, I have sometimes found that a daytime alarm I had set (manually, not via Google Now) didn't go off -- YET when I look at the notification bar, it shows as if I had snoozed it... yet I did not.
Recently, it seems like Light Flow was acting up (I know they had a July 11 update that is being blamed as less than perfect). However, I decided to disable OK Google voice from my launcher (Nova) and from Everywhere activation and everything seems to have returned to normal.
i have the same problem with my phone G pro lite dual after updating my software
This has been happening to me aswell since an update in November. I have never used the silent mode function, it is defibitely turned off, but my phone changes from silent to loud every day at 6am. I have seen numerous posts about it but no resolutions?

Notification issues on Android Wear devices?

I'm thinking of switching from Pebble to Android Wear. I'm curious, do notifications from your phone come through consistently and quickly? On Pebble (at least with Android) about 25% of the time a notification takes 2-5 seconds to show up on the watch, or never shows up at all. I'll feel my phone buzz and sit there staring at my watch, waiting. It gets really annoying! Happened with both my S3 and Nexus 5.
Has anyone experienced similar with Android Wear watches? Or particular models? Thanks!

no missed notifications at all .
Awesome. I think I'll be ordering Black Friday or cyber Monday. Now, to decide which one.
No missed notifications at all. Working great!
After 2 weeks with my LG G Watch R, I'm afraid that after 18 months with my Pebble I've grown accustomed to doing things in a certain way and that's not the right way for Android Wear.
Could anybody enlighten me?
My watch almost never vibrates. Mails, Whatsapp messages... it doesn't matter, most notifications show as cards (which I notice after a too long time) but I don't get vibrations.
My phone is a Sony Xperia Z3 with 4.4.4 (5.0.1 on the watch). When I used my Pebble it was always muted and most apps had notifications off. Now Whatsapp and Gmail have notifications on, since I read somewhere that Android Wear devices would only vibrate if the app was supposed to make some noise. However, I still don't get vibrations.
Thanks in advance

As far as i got with this (still no Facebook notifications here) this has to do with the sound options, very logical (not) on your phone..
If you have notifications set to just vibrate with no sound on your phone there will be no vibration on your wrist, someone needs to visit that google programmer with a clue bat i think :-/
If you want your watch to be the one to get the notifications and no sound on your phone, set up all apps on your phone to use sounds, and set in Android wear app, silence the phone. This will quit your phone from responding with sounds (an i think also vibrations) while your watch should do the heavy lifting.
Why they did it this way, Google only knows, we desperately need a alternative Android wear build with a much better control of vibrations and how each type of notifications should act!

That's not true. I have set my Google+ notifications to no sound but enabled vibrations. The system wide notification strength on my note 3 is set to 0. In this way only my lg g watch r is vibrating on incoming notifications....

Well. No notifications at all after updating my phone to lollipop 5.1. In Android Wear, the option to turn on notification is greyed out. Upon application startup, I get a message saying: "Android Wear needs you to turn on notifications" but I cannot turn them on. A full hard reset of both, watch and phone, did not help. Downgrade of Android Wear APP to different old versions did not help. My watch is useless now and my Ascend Mate 7 MT10 with Lollipop 5.1 is not downgradable to kitkat any more without unlocking the boot loader which I do not want to do. So, If I would have a Pebble, I think I would stick to it until Lollipop issues are resolved at least you want to keep you devices on KitKat and renounce to update to lollipop.
These are my two cents from a frustrating experience.
just install informer
All problem SoLved
just install "informer for android wear - notification"

Strange sounds since Feb security update

Ever since the Feb security update my 6P has made some interesting sounds undisturbed. I'm completely stock, have never rooted and update when updates are available. First phone I haven't rooted actually. I do where a fitbit and have fitbit notifications turned on, but that just means when the phone rings the fitbit vibrates and the number scrolls across the fitbit led. That's the extent of fitbit's notifications. So in the last week the phone whether in my pocket or sitting on the desk will make a random sound for a variety of notifications (I have about 15 different sounds for emails, texts, ect.) but there will be no new notification. Noise for nothing. On occasion, the phone has even vibrated and on at least 2 occasions that I can remember, the phone started to ring and stopped just as quickly........and I know i'm not imagining it as my fitbit also vibrated like a phone call should make it, but no number popped up and no missed call the phone. All very strange and all since the last update. Anyone else getting phantom notification sounds?
The notification flood sounds like the phone waking up from Doze, but it shouldn't do it if it's in your pocket. Additionally, phone calls should come through as normal. I don't think the Fitbit would be the issue (I have one, but not a wristband with notifications, just a Fitbit One that I keep in my pocket), but I also don't use any notification sounds. I get vibrate for text messages only if the screen is off, and I have a ringtone. All other notifications are silent.

Sound notifications for certain apps like Whatsapp only working half the time

So my Whatsapp is setup to vibrate and make a sound for notifications but the sound only works about half the time while the vibrate does work every time. I've also had a few times where the sound itself doesn't fully play or sort of stutters.
Fully stock 6t on T-mobile.
Edit: I should add that I think this is a Oneplus problem in general. My OP2 had similar problems with stuttering notification sounds. Never experienced this on any other brand of phone. Didn't matter what OS I was using either.
