So, I recently bought my own lepro3 4/64gb in force gold from grossoshop.net.
I returned it for faulty because I thought the back side of the phone looked extremely pink (rose gold..)
I posted a thread on reddit explaining my situation and my experience with the grossoshop aftersales.
But now people are calling me out saying that the phone is infact the correct color, so I'm starting to doubt myself.
It is mostly the difference in color between front side and back side that shocked me, I'm not saying this is the perfect rose gold or anything, just that something mustve gone wrong in the manufacturing process

A video of me flipping over the phone: https://youtu.be/tCXoUu-KZAY
I was hoping that other force gold le pro 3 owners can tell me if this is normal or not.

From the picture you post, the back is really rose gold color, since I have broken my front Mon once before, and order a rose gold color lcd from China, that is exactly the color of the phone 's back you posted!

Interesting. Does it look the same in sunlight when you don't have any red around you? It is very reflective like chrome and if you have red on, or around you it can look very rose gold.
I have had 3 replacements of this phone. I noticed the first 2 phones looked rose gold.
However, now looking at my latest it looks more gray than gold depending on the lighting. I have no clue anymore. The lighting has a huge impact on the color...
It has both force gold and rose gold colours. I have force gold, its not pink at all.
I'm using the gold version and it looks rose gold under certain lighting

Hey guys,
I just received a replacement phone from Bell, so now I happen to have two Galaxy S running in front of me. My old phone, for some random reason doesn't have the same colors as my new one.
The old phone, displays white really nicely, whereas the new one, it's more "beige-ish"... Overall the screen colors of the new phone are "warmer" and the old one has more realistic colors. Darker blacks and whites that are really bright.
I don't get it... Is the new phone defective?! Does it need break-in?
Thanks
Same Problem
Dude I got my old bricked phone replaced around a week ago and this new one's screen, like you said, has beige-ish or yellowish coloring whenever I put the brightness down below 20%. My old one was perfect, it showed the whites perfectly. What are you planning on doing? I think im going to take it in to the store. Did you find out the reason for it or take it in yourself to the store?
You guys should post the manufacture dates for your old and new phones. I got a new 9000M after my internal SD died but I never had both phones at the same time. As far as I can tell my new phone's display is just as good (maybe slightly better) than the old one. They were both 10.08 dates.
From what I have heard, a new AMOLED should be slightly blueish because the blue sub-pixels get weaker before the others.
My old one is 10.08 and the new one is 10.11. Old one's screen was perfect..but i dont know whats wrong with this one..its just yellow when the brightness setting is low..
Same here, bought my mother's captivate(not from replacement) and its screen seemed yellowish and darker than mine. However touch button backlight is much brighter than mine.

Any solution for this???
Sorry I have to say this, but it is absolutely normal. Had 2 sgs back in june. One ABSOLUTELY white and great screen (but also a dead pixel)and the other more as described here. Also the warm color is best be seen in an angel of normal use. Annoying, but you get used to it.

So Crypta, will this be looked upon as a defect. Could I possibly take it back to Bell store for a replacement. I cannot get used to this..its pretty bad, the yellow coloring i mean.
I think the speedmod kernel has colour adjustments made. Check it out in the Dev forum

Kewjoe, could you plz tell me the step by step process of getting my phone to your phone's level. I mean Darky's rom..speed mod etc. Our phones (bell i9000) are extremely fragile and you know that. I wanted to get darky's on it but i dint want to brick it. Also, if i do mod darky's but somehow or another my phone needs repair and I need to take it back to bell, would I be able to bring my phone back to bone stock (bell jl2) conditon? If yes, how is it done? Thank you
Can't say if it is rated as flaw. Kept mine, as it is only a great difference in comparison. Saw 4 sgs screens - all different from blueish to pretty warm. There seem to be a great variation within production range.

This is normal in the process of screen, that does not come from the same production line.
Took mine in to bell store couple of days back and they shipped it for repair/replacement. They compared my screen to the phone on display in store and even they said mine was really washed out. I also had a loose battery problem so they mentioned that on the repair sheet as well. Hopefully I get it(or a replacement) back soon. They said 10 days..I'll let you know once I get it back.
is it still SAMOLED, does it still have DEEP Blacks? maybe they changed it to SLCD? i hope not!
Yea its still S-Amoled but it was just yellowy so I had to take it back. I dont think they would change it to slcd..lets see.
Chk this out, I think it could be software problem but I flashed many roms and it hasn't seemed to bring it back to normal so I sent it in.

Have you tried to Galaxy Tuner? It's available in the market, you can change the color settings with it.
I Swyped this on my Galaxy S
Different manufacturing batches ==>Different products. It may happen. But if there is too much difference in colors as you said it is a manufacturing defect.
I received a replacement unit today from the June batch.
I opened it up and realized that it looks a bit different. Maybe I'm just imagining it?
1. The backplate with the texture on it looks light brown, almost matches the brown rim/bezel. I could have sworn it was a darker almost gray color on the previous unit.
2. The Asus logo on the back was a chrome finish, now it has faint diagonal lines cut into it giving it a different look.
Someone please look at their unit and tell me if I'm just imagining this?
A picture would help.
+1 for some pics please and anything else that may have changed.
Mine sounds exactly like what you're explaining; it even has the same very faint lines on the ASUS logo cut in it diagonally. BTW my tablet is only 2½ week old.
Please check if you have any bleed on the screen

Hi,
Please check the light bleeding issue and take pictures if it's possible .
mine has the same diagonal lines on the asus logo, mine is also about 2 weeks old, got it from best buy, unfortunately i have some noticeable light bleed. I'm a premier silver member so im going to wait 40 days before exchanging it for another one. I love my tablet but I hope the next one has better quality control.

Don't have my early-stock 16GB in front of me to check, but my 32GB is only a few days old, and has the faint diagonal lines on the logo. I am unsure if my 16GB has the same, but I'd be *extremely* surprised if Asus has changed this, as it'd cost a lot of money to change molds for a barely-noticeable change. I'm fairly certain the plastic on my 16GB is brown, the same as my 32GB though.
And both units have an almost identical, minimal level of light bleed.
The biggest difference between the two (beyond memory) is that the newer unit shipped with the power supply faceplate already attached. (No, it's not second hand, both units were factory sealed.)
Apparently Asus realized they were costing themselves returns and/or tech support calls from folks who couldn't believe how hard you had to push to attach the faceplate, and thought their chargers were faulty. Hence they seem to have decided to pre-attach the faceplates to save on support / return costs. At least, that's my guess, but I'd put money on it.
So i recieved my Galaxy s2 the other day, as a replacement for my HTC HD2 which was in for a repair with a broken screen - apparently it was 'unecconomical' to repair - but i certainly wasnt complaining!
Awesome phone, had it for two days, rooted it fine using Odin and superoneclick - fantastic tool..
After rooting i re-flashed with stock kernel again.
All was absolutely fine, i was using my phone without problems until a few hours later (yesterday evening) when after putting it down for five minutes and picking it up again, there was a pixel wide horizontal line running across the screen.
They are not dead or stuck pixels, as they change colour with the background- they just appear extremely brightly, so stand out from the rest of the display.
No amount of adjusting has resolved this, rebooting/hard reset etc. the line remains prominently running from the right side, and slowly fading to the left.
Ive searched online but cant see any issues with screens like this, just dead pixel lines and stuck pixels.
If anyone may have an idea on whether this could be software related problem or hardware related would be great to know your thoughts.
Cheers, Alex
I would be taking it straight back . I got a couple of sgs2 handsets back in may when they were 1st released and i had numerous screen issues. i got one a few days ago an my friend got one yesterday and the screens are pretty much bang on (tiny tiny yellow tint if you go looking for it)
No lines , no dead pixels , beautifull screens even with the slight yellow tint
I hated my 1st screens so there are defo some bad ones knocking about and some that are literally 10x nicer to look at
Like i say take it back buddy
Good luck with it and let us know how you got on
Also pictures of the problem could be interesting
Yep I definitely will...
Just whether to un-root and reset flash count first or not - probs a good idea im thinking.
Aside from that i agree its a lovely display- ive heard about the yellow tint but noticed it on mine.
Will try and get a pic up before it goes back..
Cheers for the input!
I know there was a thread about this before but I cant seem to find it. I also think there were no comparison pictures either
First of all I have two phones because the first one I bought had a fault with the glass.
The shiny one is from the faulty phone and the darker one is my new one.
Which one do you think looks better?
PS: If you see it in real life its not as noticeable as in the pictures.. but you can still easily see it. The darker one looks more purple/ black and the shiny one looks like more of a shaded mirror.
Also the shape at the bottom of the shiny one is from a back cover protector. I took it off but the muck/ dirt was still on there..

Oh yeah... these are both international versions bought from amazon UK.
Me and two friends have the pebble blue bought on the same day and they are different shades to them.
If you ask me samsung screwed by changing color.....i was happy about back as well when i heard sammy changed color to more serious one, bit now when i got it i realised that front looks so much cooler despite its purple color in light

Just noticed the front is a different shade too.
It's not as noticeable as the back though.
I like the mirrored back.
So I kept the new back cover instead of the old one.
My phone looks black from a distance.
Great cover i like it
I'm planning to buy the s6 edge this month and I was initially decided to get the gold version. I usually don't like the gold color on phones but this one on the edge isn't very pronounced and in different light situations it looks silverish. A gold device with a clear UAG case looks amazing imo.
The problem is, here in Romania, the gold version is ridiculously exepensive compared to the other models. The difference is almost 150 euro.
So I turned my eyes to the green model. I think it looks spectacular, but I'm personally not a big fan of green in general. I've never seen it in real life, only in videos, and I just find it kinda awkward.
Does any one own a green phone and have some impressions? I would prefer opinions from male members. I can totally picture a girl with it, but I guess that's what I find awkward about it, I think it looks kinda girly.
If anyone has a clear UAG case I would love to see some pics.
