Gmail app not pushing

Got my new verizon s7 sat. I can't get Gmail to push new emails, it only works if I open the app and manually refresh. I have tried wiping cache and data for the app, ensured that the sync Gmail in settings >accounts is on.... which it seems to get hung up there occasionally, I see the circle but it isn't spinning. I have turned on all the settings in the app too

As far as I have seen, this problem has been around since January sometime. No it has not been fixed though according to this article they know what the issue is. I don't know what they are waiting for to fix this. I have heard Inbox is working better. You can look into that if its urgent enough.

This article was posted in febuary and states that some people at google said this:
"Thanks again for your patience on this while the team investigated the issue. I’m happy to announce that a fix has started to roll out. This fix requires no action, and will roll out globally over the next week."
It's been well over a week now.. still no fix?

Yeah, I don't know what they are dragging their feet with. According to this google forum I found it is still an on going problem.

One of the suggestions in there is to use CloudMagic. It seems to be helping with instant notifications for those of us that need to have emails notify of us instantly.

Weird, it works fine on my old rooted s5... New stock s7... Nope, the Samsung app works but I like the gmail one better

I think it is a Marshmallow bug...

Well it appears to be working again, I cracked my screen already on my phone, so I got a new one through insurance. Fired it up last night and the Gmail app is pushing as normal not sure if it was an update , I had the app set to stop syncing before maybe it worked with the old phone after an update , regardless it is working now

No OTA update yet for 7.0 upgrade via the beta program?

Hey guys. My dad upgraded his 6p to 7.0 via the beta program. He still has not gotten the September security update. I keep thinking he should've gotten it by now. Anyone else have this issue?

This is purposeful. Google does slow rollouts for OTAs, presumably to monitor potential OTA issues on release. Every device receives OTAs at a different time spanning weeks.

I re-enrolled in the Beta program yesterday and it sent me the September update a minute later. Try un-enrolling and re-enroll and see what happens. My concern is the camera's new on screen zoom +and - buttons and burst mode button. I find them very annoying and unnecessary. Can't seem to turn em off though.

Ya that's what I had him do. It sent him the NRD90T update. Hopefully from here on out hell just be able to get the update OTA without a problem

Anyone Having Trouble Using Textra on Their New Phone?

Nothing happens when I tap the send button. Anyone else having similar issues?

Yes, I am experiencing the same issue. A temporary workaround until a fix is produced is to enable "Send using Enter" in the settings.

Me too, I am back on the stock client for now. From what I can tell Textra needs to adjust touch placement for the notification bar. I was going to send them an email since they have been super responsive in the past... then I thought they probably hate me right now. lol
I noticed that you basically have to tap a CM(1/4") or two under what you actually want to touch. I'm sure they'll get it fixed soon once the device is in more users hands.

Ditto...also can't swipe to delete unless I increase the font size to 150% (Settings - Customize Look)

Understood, adb hasn't always been my friend either and definitely had some trouble with getting this one connected as well. Hopefully Textra will come out with an official update shortly. They are usually pretty good in that regard.

I couldn't stand using the Google messenger app anymore... so I spent a lot longer than I should have doing the ADB commands... I had to use an older version of the Android SDK install I had on one of my computers...lol
It works and yeay... still sad I had to do it. lol

Still can't get the app to work. Super frustrating.

Textra is working fine for me after the new update that essential released.

Installed the NMI64C OTA update late yesterday and switched back to Textra and can as well confirm it is working fine for me now

Ok thanks. I'll have to look out for that update... I'm on vzn and haven't gotten that yet

You really don't have to mess with SDK installs and all that. Just download load minimal ADB and fastboot. It's super nice for stuff like this.

Still having issues with the keyboard and not being able to switch when trying to send a picture. I don't get the choice to send a file only to take a picture.

Augist security has started hitting the Z Play, go and check for the update now!
And, new change you will see is that the Size of the Recent panel has now Increased!

Really? I've had issues playing FLAC files and my phone being wakelocked (until I reboot to fix it) every time I try to listen to FLACs ever since the 7.1.1 update. I was hoping this would be fixed.

Someone would have to report Lenovorola and it would be fixed in the next update.

Yeah, don't be passive and wait that Moto figured out bug by itself. Report it. More reports, better chance that will be fixed.
Btw, do you see that wakelock as an awake in battery stats? Which music player?

For me it's fixed i cleared cache and triggered overide on DND for me its working now, i can see that it's running (look at the attachment) but if you want to change your Equalizer mode thn you have to reboot for once to make change on it

But it's a temporary fix mate.. if this had to be done with custom roms then I'll be okay with it but with a proper company like motorola. It's never be expected

I am using ASG8 as got it OTA.
No issues for it, yet after this one also galaxy watch got update and start big drain and cpu overload due to the galaxy Wear process and service. So if you have watch also stay alert for possible issues like mines.

YES DO NOT UPDATE!!!!!! I updated and now i have black screen of death. Samsung will fix it fro me with a full reflash!
