Yesterday i found a Magisk Module here on Xda, which lets you pass the SaftyNet request on the most Xiaomi Devices and Custom Roms.

Thanks @dariusz666 , finally fixed with magisk_hide from post 74. With normal magisk I face safetynet cts profile mismatch after reboot.

It's the software that apps can use to check if your phone has been rooted. Some apps (like Pokémon Go) will not work on a rooted device, so by masking this you can make them work again.
Will this allow android pay to work?

Yes. For MIUI firmwares you need fixed version of Magisk v12, for other you can download via Magisk Manager.
I'm using LOS 14.1 unofficial and I found that I pass Safetynet even without this module.
But when I open Vodafone Wallet it says that the application can not be opened because of the root, did I miss something?
As far I understand you have to tag the app in the options of Magisk.

I've got the same issue with my banking app, it some how detects that the device is rooted even though android pay works without any problem.

Hey, if someone is still encountering problems with adaway (especially those who are on android 7.0 and not 7.1 are most likely affected),
you have to gain permissions to writing the host file.
Try the following which helped for me when I was on aosp 7.0.
You gotta type this in cmd as admin after having pointed to your platform-tools folder (if it is not added to PATH anyway).
For example:

cd C:\Android\sdk\platform-tools
Then go ahead and do:

adb root
adb shell
su
mount -orw,remount /system
rm /system/etc/hosts
ln -s /data/data/hosts /system/etc/hosts
mount -oro,remount /system
Afterwards you can retry to apply the new hosts in adaway.

It doesnt pass safetynet but with magiskhide i can download and run netflix,mario run,pok go,snap. Havent tried androidpay but it shouldnt be an issue.

Flash stock 720 Rom , 17s 18s 20s 23s all doesn't matter. Flash my safety net build prop mod, and finally flash the Magisk v20. Reboot. Install the Google services, Magisk manager, enable Hide in Magisk manager, reboot and freeze or remove those leeco phone stuffs. That's it!
I use Android Pay shopping daily, so I can sure it is 100% work, and also I need to hide the Citibank app else it will not run for unLocked bootloader of x720.

My mod is pure letv fingerprint mod, not using other phone‘s fingerprint! Using other phone’s one will pass safety net but Android Pay will not work in real transaction.
I tried your mod but I get failed anyway.
Do you have any tips?

Be sure you use the original stock Rom, and not any modified stock Rom. Steps as follow:
1. download stock Rom from leeco official site https://bbs.le.com/zt/eui/le_pro3.html
2. download Magisk v12
3. download my patch
4. boot to TWRP, doing three wipes
5. flash the stock Rom first , then my patch, and reboot to recovery 1 more time, flash the Magisk v12
6. normal reboot and settings after boot up
7. install the Magisk manager, go to setting and enable the Magisk hide. reboot phone.
btw, you flash with what version of TWRP? I use V5 that’s quite old but very stable.

yes it works in Android 6.0 stock based rom, but in Android 7.1.2 rom, this trick will not work although it can pass the safety net, transaction by Android pay will be rejected by machine!
Mod flashed on Mauro v2.2, working like a charm.

It's not booting, did you do anything additional to boot this rom?
Use zcx twrp 3.0.2 and install rom, zcx twrp install rom and working .

you need to do factory reset after pressing "Cancel" in the password screen.
Warning: This will remove all of your data in your internal storage.
I just tested the rom. It's working as smooth as butter. I didn't got heating issues, and random crashes like mentioned above. Only problem is It's Android 7.0, but It doesn't matter much, everything is same with MIUI 10. Also I didn't detect any bugs, call voice is good, fingerprint works.

if you wont succeed booting , flash lazyflasher right after flashing rom . you dont have to change twrp recovery. this way worked for me.

Youtube videos show the answer is no. That's unfortunate. Not sure why Xiaomi insists on keeping it disabled...

im trying this new android 9 rom now.And there is no huge differences on this rom.Some problems has gone..Like (whatsapp video recorder low voice quality problem,When i play games,notch not match at the top screen etc etc .)And again.there is no huge differences.Performance still good.Sometimes phone lagging and UI not smooth.I'm not tested battery yet..When i test it,i send the screenshots about SoT.

It isn't possible to manually activate Cam2API on Redmi Note 6 Pro at this moment with ADB commands.
The issue seems to be broader than just Android Pie (Beta 9.3.11) version as reported in the Xiaomi Global Forum, activation also doesn't work anymore in the latest Android Oreo versions (Stable 10.2.2.0 & Beta 9.3.1)

u can activate camera2api with twrp recovery but there is a problem.İm testing now android 9.0.everyweek phone updating and bugs fixing.but now i cannot update my phone.otherdays when i install any zip file with twrp recovery,phone deletes recovery.but there is a new system update(weekly) comes to my phone.i cannot install it.Directly going twrp recovery.im install now android 9 test zip again and then gonna try new update.And ofcorse camera2api feature goes off automaticklly.

Does this mean that we have to use something other than Magisk to root our ROMs when using these gapps? Or am I misunderstanding?

you just need to boot to system first then boot back to recovery to flash Magisk

After installing
BiTGApps-arm64-10.0.0-v0.6_signed
I love this Gapps package!! I installed the BiTGApps-arm64-9.0.0-v11.0_signed.zip a few days ago along with the RR rom for Pie on my OnePlus 3T, and my battery life has been excellent! BiTGApps is wonderful. I have noticed that not much of anything Google related gets updated from the Play Store, however. I have probably been using BiTGApps for around 5 days now, and usually when I have installed the normal Gapps package in the past, things get updates from Google pretty often, like Google, Gboard, things like that. I have gotten no updates at all with this BiTGApps.
Is this normal, or have I missed something from the old thread about this?

Well, don't I feel foolish! I just checked my installed packages, and no wonder nothing from Google is getting updated. There's only a couple of Google things that got installed! LOL Geez, and here I was all worried about it.
To be honest, I had no idea a rom could run this well without anything Google on it! It makes BiTGApps even more wonderful for me!!

Haha. How do you know it's the GApps? I mean, you get the same Google apps from other GApps packages so please do tell what made the phone heat up.

Because when I returned to v. 0.5 the phone stopped heating up. But these are only my assumptions
