[Q]Just rooted.. would love a full tablet ui with no major bugs, suggestions?

So far I have tried a few ROMs but they crash when I alter the DPI to 160 ... CM10 works great but the WiFi is very very slow for some reason so I went back to stock... Looking forward to the communities input....

Go for paranoid android.
Use version 2.5 as that was the last fully functioning on before the beta (4.2.1) started

When I used paranoid I could set the DPI in the system settings but when I downloaded from the app store the apps ran in phone mode for example the BBC news app ! Maybe it was something I missed any help would be appreciated

On paranoid android you can set the layout for any app
Go to settings/paranoid settings/apps and change it from there

I'm using PA 2.99 beta 5.1 (aosp 4.2.1 base) and it's pretty good. I would wait until they go stable with 3.0 and flash then. It should be stable within a week or so. I would also suggest m-kernel+ a16 for a kernel.

Dashclock widget

Anyone else having issues installing the dashclock widget? All other apps install fine except for this one.. It just hangs at "Installing"..

Nope works fine for me. Try restarting your Nexus 7.

Worked fine for me as well. Installed it a few hrs ago and it looks great. I did have to bump up the font to make it more visible though.

Tried restarting.. Even did factory wipe. I've noticed some other issues as well.. I think I may have a defective device.

Now that 14.1 is freaking GREAT, any suggestions for a BACK on screen button?

I am loving lineage 14.1.
I got used to using on screen back button with stock. Any suggestions for cm/lineage version?

You mean Mi-POP? That's a MiFavor feature. You're not going to get on Lineage.

Anybody else still not have this? My wife's 6p has yet to get Assistant while my 6 got it pretty early.

Set language to US English and long press home key. You should see assistant voice set up.

I just found what her problem was, it wasn't the US language thing, rather she hadn't activated it on Google Now ???.
