I used to have a tmobile s7 with Samsung Pay... it had rewards and gift card system. Now I got an s8 international.... installed Samsung Pay and linked my card, everything went fine, but I have no menu for gifts or rewards.

When you bring up your credit card, just swipe down on the card itself and you'll be able to see the menu. At least I think this is what you're looking for...

Thanis, but it's not that... on the menu icons I just don't have the gift cards or rewards system.
Maybe I have to install an American Samsung Pay version or something.

Well I just tried the installed version and it worked flawlessly... the only downside is that I have no rewards or gift card options

It's a U.S. phone with U.S. Samsung Pay. Unless you blow KNOX there's no reason it wouldn't fully support all the U.S. features. How a U.S. phone with U.S. S Pay would behave with foreign credit cards and/or being used outside the U.S. is a totally different question.

Thanks for your info. I am just trying to be careful as much as possible. Because I want to transfer from iphone to Samsung because of Samsung pay. I just love S Pay so much. But you know what, B&H list SM-950U as North American Variant not US Variant. That's why I am asking. Anyway, thanks a lot for your info. As long as the rewards and gift cards work on SM-950U, I'm gonna go and get one immediately!
I installed different Samsung Pay Framework apk and now I want to revert back and downgrade to another version to make Spay work.. when I click uninstall updates it wont let me. (Gives message that App is needed by system administrator.. when I open sys admin nothing there. hidden app)
Any ideas or suggestions on how to downgrade S Pay Framework?

Today i checked by (OneClickRoot) to see if they rooted the new S6+ or Not, and found that my device can be Rooted, but i am afraid to try, did anyone try this
I wouldn't be surprised if it works, but it will most likely trip knox, which will disable your ability to use Samsung pay... I just switched to the + from the regular S6 edge and I went months without rooting so that I can try out Samsung pay. And since it's coming out this Friday, I'm definitely going to hold off until then

From what I read online the ATT version will not boot at all after root and it is the "A" version of that model number. It doesn't come up as supported yet. I feel confident someone will figure this out though.

Good to hear but I thought Adguard was only a browser extension. How does it work within Android? Or is it a simple apk download from somewhere?

Yes I've been using it and it seems as effective as using Ad Away.
Only thing I'm not a fan of is that pesky key icon in the upper right in the notification bar. Any way of getting rid of it for good? I tried the usual of going in app properties and unchecking notifications and the app itself has this setting in its own menu (which gets rid of one of the two icons) but the key remains.
It's like after nuking the mothership in ID4, when the scope clears up, the target remains! :laugh:

No trick or loop hole. Phone needs to be updated for Samsung pay support for the framework and app to fully function.

I know this is no big deal to the great developers here but as we know this phone has its boot loader locked. Or is it possible to sim unlock without unlocking the boot?
There was a guy in here who was offering the unlock domestic and international. He was asking for 11 dollars. I did it it works great. Tried an At&t sim on my Sprint S7E worked like a charm. Search you should find him. He has you contact him via Skype and walks you through it.

I tried the solution from idoneapps.com. Seems to have worked...I can put an AT&T GoPhone sim and it is recognized. I haven't activated the sim, though, so it doesn't connect to anything yet.

According to the info on their website, idoneapps can global unlock SIM without root...it just needs root to do other features. After performing the unlock, I can insert an AT&T sim and it is recognized, so I assume that it worked...

I'm still trying to work out what the appeal is of services like Samsung and Android Pay. I have contactless debit and credit cards which have far more support out there and do the same thing. So root or Android Pay? There will only ever be one winner for me, and the same goes with Samsung Pay and knox trip.

One of the advantages of these pay systems is that you don't have to use, send your real credit card details to the merchants or even show the card, instead you are using a "virtual" account number to represent your account information, so your card details stay safe (and you can even leave it at home)...
For me is leaving those cards at home. My wallet is getting full, plus, if I ever forget it, still have my phone.
Tried yesterday in Costa uk, worked on stock non root, but loyalty card even if added to G Pay wasn't recognised by their reader

No. Google pay is what you will have to use. Samsung pay is in another league... I doubt anyone else will be able to come close to it anytime soon.
