Latest lineage OS 14.1 has charging issue - LeEco Le 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

This is to warn users and developers please don't use lineage OS 14.1 11th build sources in your ROM it has serious charging issues I have seen already most ROM developers included these sources in their ROM which causes this charging issue.:crying:
To custom ROM users after flashing ROM which has latest lineage OS sources you will not able to charge your device with charger so please check if your device is charging properly with charger.flash older build to solve this issue.
All developer should test each build carefully before releasing their ROM.

Here it is working just fine. Installed build yesterday. Presently it is on the charger. Charged it nicely from 30% to now 96%. Expect to finish it in 5 minutes.

They just have set a temperature limit which stops charging after reaching 40°C. It just doesn't charge due to the hot climate in India.

Charging issue on Le 1s x509 running lineage 14.1
I have the same issue where plugging it in doesn't charge It at all. It will only charge while switched off or if I leave it plugged in while booting . if I unplug it and plug in again it doesn't charge again.

Maybe you can change the thread title as it is outdated now
Did you notice, he is using a different device?

That's really nice but my phone doesn't charge when battery temp is less than 40C also. I thought it was not possible to effect charging circuits with software. But if they can, I would like to put a maximum charge voltage or percent limit to extend battery life!
(Never mind, my cable was broken. It shows charging but does not charge... )

I successful installed lineageos 14.1 on my gt p3113 and noticed fast draining of my battery. I shut off my device and the charging signal was blinking and I turned it on after 5 hours to my surprised the battery was almost drained! What I did was I turned it off again. When it was off already, I pushed the power button and the volume down at the same time and released both buttons when it started to boot and voila! It started charging again. This time, the battery is really getting charge instead of getting drained.

no charge, no light.....

hi,
i drained my battery completly, and now when i want to charge it nothing hapened. it is not charging, no green light on device..... and i can`t turn it on becouse no juice in battery.... help needed how to charge the batery away from device or something.....
thanx in advance
Well,Jump start the battery,or charge it with Wall charger capable of 1amp out put,it'll start to charge.
To jumpstart the battery use a 9v battery and give the battery a few 30 second charges which should give it enough juice for the phone to boot and get it charging from the usb cable or wall charger thats less than 1amp.
It may take a few attempts to get enough charge.
Also cutting and end of a spare usb cable and using that to jumpstart the battery is possible too.
it would be more nice that if u could show it with picture illustration guide (if possible)
by the way. Is this the 9v battery u were refering too:-

hey dhawal4u stop spaming ) ..... and don't do 30 seconds shocks...try firstly with 15 seconds...or use a wall charger like zabardast said..it's safer
I guess charging it using a USB cable may also work because when my battery all once drained i used a USB cable to charge it and it worked but for sometime in the starting dont do anything after sometime its orange light will automatically be on or you can use the Wall charger as other are saying and once problem is solved do tell in the THREAD so that people dont post replied saving sites bandwidth.
usb cable jump worked for me. happened to have one usb cable without another head so tried it, few less than 10sec spikes and then connected to computer and boom it started charging
thanks.

Battery Charges Real Slow

After installing android i have had problems with my battery,
it's charging, but real slow! from 10-100% it takes 8-12 hours.
anyone else had this problem? or have a sollution?
It depends on how you are charging it. Charging over USB port always takes longer than over outlet.
If your Android is eating your battery, then loading it via USB will not load it much but hold it more or less at the same level.
Maybe that could explain your problem?
Thanks for your replay. I'm charging via outlet and in winmo now.
and with 85% in android it last 16-18 hours with normal to heavy use.

I've noticed that if the power cord is plugged in and then Android booting, charging is snail slow and doesn't show a charging symbol in the battery icon.
i've been on shubcraftCM6 and charging hasn't been a problem. Probably jumps 10% on AC charger in about 30 minutes, maybe even less. but dont ask... i dont test it. i just know that I use my phone under HEAVY use (data sync on most of the time) and constant fiddling around with and I dont ever run down to <10% by the end of the day.

If you unplug and plug it back, the icon will change. During the bootup, I remember seeing text that said it was turning of battery charging or something like that.
Boot android WITHOUT it being connected to charger. Then when android is fully booted up, then connect the charger.
My battery charges equally as fast while I'm running Android, and doesn't have any trouble charging to the FULL capacity, at 100%.

I boot Android with charger plugged in. Once fully booted I unplug and replug to activate the charging notification. Charging is extremely fast from an ac outlet.
I am draining battery at about 15-20% an hour with heavy usage, buy if charging while using I actually make forward progress on the charge level.
Energy ROM, 2.12 radio, Matt Leo rc1.4 is my current combination.

Mine is slow charging too from wall charger..
So i restart to winmo for charging up, then reboot to android desire v5 at 100% battery level

I wouldn't know, but no new phone is supposed to act like that.
Have you tried pulling the battery or booting into recovery? Also try another usb cable or wall outlet, maybe it's not getting a charge. Make sure the usb port is clean. I'm sorry but I don't have a definitive solution.
I had the same issue after 2 weeks of use when i was on a business trip!!!. I left the phone plugged in overnight and it charged. As far as i remember id displayed full charge next day but actually it was not fully charged (i guess it was about 20%). So after a couple of recharge cycles it worked ok.

I just had this happen today on my ATT Galaxy S II. But what happened was I let the battery almost drain and I had a brand new oem battery that I had charging over night. So with the old battery in I rebooted into recovery wiped battery stats and powered off. I then put the new battery in and when I plugged it in it was stuck at this screen. It seems to be charging though and how you can bypass it is unplug it and just hold the power button down for like 10 seconds it will reboot.
But the question is.. will it go back to normal and show that it's actually charging for everyone? or did some get stuck for good? Since the thread is old I'm sure you guys have either gotten yours replaced or after a while it just started working normally again. So I'm curious on how to fix it. It's happening with both batteries on this phone now but work fine in another phone
May be let it charge and then calibrate your battery

Had the exact same issue when I bought mine... Turned out I had not plugged the battery correctly. Just try removing the battery and put it back.

I got it working again. I think thee might be a bug with CWM or CM when you wipe battery stats/recreates them. I restored to the bone stock rom and the icon started animating again. I restored CM 7 which was the version I wiped the bat stats and it stopped working again. I then just reflashed CM on top and it started working again go figure Thanks guys
I had faced that problem too.Just try plugging out and in the battery and start the phone.Make sure the battery is fixed into it's place. If it is still not working, continue the plug-out and in the battery and start the phone again.Try it for several times. It will work. When i was in that situation,i thought mine was BRICK.Hopefully replugging the battery fixed this problem.
Another situation is when i plug in a fully charged battery,it only shows 60 percent after booting. After replugging the battery,it just got right back to 99.
Good stuff - when I bought my phone, the first charge took so long.
Is it true that the wall charger charges the phone faster than the USB charger? (just something I have noticed).
Thanks

Battery issues

Hi everyone. My Nexus 7 (WiFi 16GB) is almost unusable ever since the latest update. The tablet does not charge properly, it is very slow, and once it reaches 67% it stops and doesn't go up anymore. And it drains very quickly as well, it takes just under 4 hours from 67% to something like 10%. And even when I plug it in, I need to leave it alone if I wish it to charge, since it still does not charge (it does, but the discharge rate is bigger than rate charge, so it basically is discharging while charging). I tried flashing another ROM but I get Status 7 in TWRP, I have been getting it for a long time now every time I try to flash an update or a ROM, even though I flashed factory image on it, both manually and via some toolkit. I cannot do it now since I am not home for another week or so, and the only computer available to me is not mine.
Is there anything I can do at this point? I do not even know what is it - is it 4.2.2 or the battery itself (I tried turning it off and charging it while it is off, the same thing happens - very slow). Also, I should add that I am mainly using the original charger which came in the box, but I tried other chargers as well. It was bought from Play Store in November 2012, so I am the first owner.
Thanks

I'm in the same boat, although mine is unrooted and stock... I can't recall if this started since the last update, but it was a gradual slope down to where I haven't been able to get it to charge for the past day. at first it was just charging really slow, now it's not charging at all. I'm using the OEM charger and cord (tried another usb cord, but still nothing). When I plug it in, the charging indicator will come on, however it just doesn't charge.
I've tried all the fixes in the stickied post (plug into computer, then wall... quickly unplug and plug the usb into the charger repeatedly, turn off and charge... pop the back off and unplug and replug in the battery), but I think my (our?) issue is separate from what that thread is trying to solve.
One thing I tried is turning it off and plugging it in. the larger battery icon would show up, show that it's charging, but letting it go overnight like this, then turning it on, it's still at the same % as when I turned it off. Nothing is working.
I'm beginning to believe that my nexus 7 is on it's last discharge unless anyone has any suggestions. Below is a screen shot of my battery discharging even while plugged in. the short spike was after rebooting then unplugging and replugging it back in... but then some unknown time later it just stopped charging. the small spikes at the right are trying all the methods from the sticky thread trying to get it to start charging. I then turned it off overnight with it plugged in.. and it's the same.

Ultra fast battery drain problem

Hi,
So my phone started to act weird while being charged (it was for about month), when battery hit 9, 14, 27, 44 and something near 80 and 90 [%] it acted like cable didn't connect and always at these levels, but I didn't care as long as it charged. I've tried to maintain battery levels between 20-90% (said the most healthy for Li-po batteries) and charge it only via original charger (original cable mostly, then not cheap 2.4 A cable).
Yet, yesterday happend sad thing.
I've plugged my phone as always after hard day at 6% charged and after 30 mins BOOM! 100%! (impossible). I was shocked and couldn't believe it so I did restart it without unplugging it from charger; my phone did reboot but didn't turn on, I've unplugged it, tried again - it's on with 56%, so I think it's ok let's leave it at this level but my phone though differently - every second my battery was drained for 1%.
Since then, whenever I turn on my phone it loses battery like that; while turned off and plugged in it behaves like cable is broken (disconnect and connect) yet displays 0% and random value (75%, 84%, 91%). Sometimes when I turn it on it displays SD card error but it's totally random.
I've managed to take this SS, hope someone knows if it is battery issue or motherboard.

Do a clean/fastboot flash and see if the problem persists.
It did help, but charging problem remains, with these magic steps where cable looks like it's disconnecting.
Thanks for your answer and sorry for delayed reply.

Try another cable maybe, or charge your phone switched off or from pc/laptop/powerbank.

As I mentioned, I've checked every charging option available, yet this problem still occurs, I've flashed global 9.5.1.0 Stable via fastboot without any problems, so I guess it's not USB port problem, yet I couldn't check if it was charging/discharging battery in this mode.
P.S. Yes, I've checked in stock recovery and on turned off phone and I must sadly admit that it still disconnects/connects during charging like it was bad cable.
