Hi there
I can't seem to install and make Samsung's own system UI app "Good Lock" work on the new S8.
First of all: I find it absolutely strange that it's not available in Samsung's own App store. And I had to download it from the web and successfully installed it on my S6.
Now I wanted to do the same on S8 and downloaded the app, installed it and prompted me to restart. It did so but nothing happens, the Good Lock UI isn't activated.
I downloaded the very latest .apk file.
Am I missing something? Suggestions?
Did it work on your s6 with nougut, I'm guessing but i dont think it works with nougut, as I had it on my 6 but not the 8. Haven't checked since upgrading the 6 to nougut.
Samsung hasn't ported it to nougat yet.

While this is described as a Note FE port to Note 7, you can see that the Note FE variants are listed as supported devices. It's not yet clear how the ROM is to be installed on FE, especially on a rooted FE (which has been decrypted). I've tried once so far, seemed to work but then rebooted and seems to have hung. I posted a request for a guide specific to our device, so I suppose we should wait for LinhPhi9x94's response.
This is his thread over on the Note 7 forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/rom-note-fe-note-7-fullport-t3649954
If this works, it will be a great advance for us.
Update: I've managed to install the custom ROM on my FE. This time I did a format data, copied the ROM zip from the PC, and installed. Got the same pop-up - which is in Korean and refers to the SIM card - which is then followed by one in Vietnamese, where I tapped the left option (it begins with N and Google translates it as "crushed"). All this happens fairly quickly, unlike the first time where I did only an advanced wipe and assumed then from the lengthy delay that it had hung.
Everything is fine except that the security alert triggered by the (disabled) verity function has a positive effect. It means that each time you reboot (but not restart) the device is diverted to recovery - which does not happen with a rooted FE. I find this a nuisance and I have restored the rooted installation.
It would seem that other than some modifications of the kernel no significant changes have been made to the stock firmware. Unless you really need a custom ROM, I cannot find any advantage to changing from our ongoing setup, especially given the nuisance of the forced diversion to recovery.

i haven't tried any other ROM and arrived at the same conclusion: rooted stock ROM/kernel works just fine. the only apps i've disabled are Korean apps, and the security log agent. i have not touched/disabled KNOX and i'm getting very good battery life as well. pic below represents my average battery life for the last week.
I would just an european CSC in orther to have meteo not in korean lang, international and not korean ectension for the browser, places in dialer and ID caller ifentification.

Problem for us is that so long as there is only a Korean release, there won't be much interest in meeting Euro/Nth American needs. You could try contacting the creator of the ROM, but it seems that his Note 7 no longer works (see link above).

Am I misunderstanding? You rooted without triggering Knox?

Hi all!
I saw THIS video the other day on Youtube with an S9 being able to acces Secure Folder directly by using other fingerprint, just like Huawei does it.
But although I have the latest (at the moment) Oreo (CRED) on my G950F, I don't have the Fingerprint+ option in Secure Folder (this allows to use a different fingerprint to directly access SF), as you can see it in the video. The Secure Folder is also at its' last version, 1.2.02.34.
Could this be a CSC option? Can anyone confirm it has the Fingerprint+ option in Secure Folder? If so, what CSC are you running?
Wow, never knew this feature existed.
I think this is more of a device exclusive than CSC.
Maybe in Android P update they will give us S9 features. (S7 got plenty of S8 features on Oreo).
Hey all,
I tried to pair my Samsung Galaxy watch with my oneplus 6t but on Google play i get the message that it is not compatible with my device software.
I have already tried to install the APK (latest version) but no luck. When pairing it gave the same message.
I have 9.0.5 installed. Can anyone help me?
Did you unlock your bootloader or root? I had a OG Pixel with an unlocked bootloader, and even though I was on a completely stock ROM it still said it wasn't compatible. Relocked and everything was good to go.
I'm not having any issues whatsoever. I just copied the app via OnePlus switch from my old phone and it works flawlessly.
My Samsung Gear S3 connects just fine.
Rooted 9.0.5.
I just read on the Samsung website that S3 is compatible with other phones bit the Galaxy watch is not. This would be a huge problem.
Nevermind looks like i misunderstood it was regarding Samsung pay

I did indeed unlock the bootloader and rooted the device.
I removed Root that didn't make a difference.
I now restored the stock rom and locked the bootloader and it worked. It is paired. However how am i supposed to get root access now?
Any ideas?
Not having any issues with my old Gear S2 classic. Actually works better than any of the Pixel XL's I've had.

This is because the bootloader is unlocked. The Wearable app will not be available in the store if the bootloader is unlocked. You may be able to try stuff to hide that. (Perhaps like Magisk hide, and the like.)

Hi, please download the latest version of the following from apkmirror dot com (no outside URL is allowed here, so unable to post the link here:
1. Remove earlier versions Galaxy Wearable from OnePlus 6t phone.
2. Install Galaxy Wearable (Samsung Gear) app from apk mirror on the phone.
3. Install Galaxy Watch Plugin (latest version) from apk mirror on the phone.
4. Use Galaxy Wearable app to pair the watch.
So far it worked for me, yet to check more about the app, plugin and Google/Samsung Pay.
Here is the quick article i have mentioned in on post on One Plus Community.

Hey, I was facing the issue with Watch 5 Pro LTE pairing with my One Plus 6 - Hope this fix will help you too.
I am using a One Plus 6 mobile as well. However, this fix I used for my new Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE I am a customer of Airtel (Postpaid connection Hyderabad, INDIA) and tried connecting my Watch 5 Pro LTE (And it should work for all Samsung LTE Wearables).
I had come across the following error while setting up the LTE pairing on my One Plus 6 through the latest Samsung Wearable App - Please make sure you also download Samsung watch 5 plugins besides the app.
Error: http://es1.airtel.in/samsung-entitlement/UNDEFINED
It looks like we need to initiate it from Samsung mobile and then make a smart switch to the original mobile.
I found the following from other forums:
1. Get or lend a Samsung mobile with Android 5+ models
2. Put your Airtel postpaid sim on the Samsung mobile
3. Click, "connect to new phone" in galaxy watch LTE
4. Install galaxy wearable and plugin in Samsung mobile.
5. Connect the watch to Samsung Mobile
6. Set up mobile networks in the galaxy wearable app and follow the steps(2 mins work).
7. Galaxy watch will be connected to Airtel postpaid sim.
8. Disconnect from phone or give mobile networks -> Always on, u will be able to c tower indicator and airtel in galaxy watch.
9. Change ur sim to ur one plus Mobile.
10. Click " connect to new phone" and connect with your OnePlus (or another brand)Mobile.
11. Don't attempt to do mobile network setup in OnePlus(or another brand).
12. That's it. u can use ur airtel postpaid in ur OnePlus (or another brand) Mobile and as well in your galaxy watch.
Have a great time exploring the tech
Best Regards,
Siddhartha Reddy Burri.

Hey all. As the title says I recently got the tab 3 plus from China and as such it isn't loaded with anything google related. I tried downloading the apk files for google services and store but it seems lenovo have gone out of their way to make sure these things don't work on the device. After many hours trying to figure out how to solve my problem I stumbled upon a video on youtube of a man who flashed a Chinese version of the device with global row firmware. Unfortunately he did not mention how he went about doing this, so here I am in a desperate attempt to figure it out. Going to be honest I was really hoping I wouldn't have to risk bricking my device just so I can use the apps I like. Any help on the safest way to go about this procedure would be greatly appreciated.
Quick edit my model number is YT-X703F running android 6.0.1
I don't know anything about the China version. Have you tried changing the language? Settings/ Personal/ Language and settings.
Download the Google Play apk to your computer. Transfer apk to the tabs Download folder.
