SM-G900F Rooted, how to enable Private Mode?
Since i have rooted my SM-G900F using CF Auto Root, i haven't been able to enable Private Mode. Using Google didn't help at all, and flashing the zip file found here did nothing. Is there any method to be able to enable Private Mode WITHOUT unrooting or installing Xposed Installer (We all know it is too buggy on Lollipop)
Works fine with my rooted G900F
How did you not trip the KNOX counter then?!?
I did trip KNOX, ages ago, and private mode never stopped working
Even froze all the KNOX apps and everything still works fine
Could you maybe send me a copy of your PersonalPageService.apk?
Maybe that will fix my problem
Sadly my note 4 started to burn so I had to by this j5 to have a phone. One thing I really missing is the private mode where you can hide images and file, only visible when you write a code or fingerprint. When Google I can not confirm if my j5 have this mode or not. No where in the settings or quick setting. Any on know how to solve this?
M6.0.1
apparently, in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/themes-apps/note-ux-ported-apps-project-grace-n7-t3399076/page174 someone make a .zip of the private mode of the note 7, u need twrp to flash it and i'm not secure if works or not..
my samsung j5 phone doesnt have private mode
if you didn't root you can use My KNOX
It offers private apps and files

I heard that if you have tripped your knox, you can't use secure folder. But as you can see you have to root in order to flash it.. So you see where this is going
Maybe my private mode stopped working after installing xposed framework.
After Searching a lot for the Private mode fix , i got few zip files. But none worked.
After flashing zip my Private mode and Finger Print service broke with > Unfortunately Private Mode and Fingerprint has stopped.
I had few Photos stored in Private Mode and had no back up of it.
Finally I did this, and it worked for me. Even you guys can try this out.
Backup these files first:
/data/privatemode -------> This folder contains all the files locked in private mode
/data/system/fingerprintpassword.key
/data/system/personalbackuppin.key
/data/system/personalfingerprintpassword.key
/data/system/personalpattern.key
also
/data/system/users/privatemode_edk_1000
and uninstall xposed framework and its apk with its uninstaller, you will find it in this site itself.
Now comes the point of luck, Software update
I was thinking to finally update my software if there was any, luckily I checked and i had a software update. But it cannot be updated from mobile as it has been rooted.
Download: Samsung SmartSwitch/Samsung Kies and use it for software update.
After the update root your phone with Auto-root and then restore the files you've back up of.
Before that have a Nandroid backup of all your data for safety.
I am not sure how this works out for you guys, but i guess its worth trying once.
ALL THE BEST , TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. :good:
Hope it helps you.

Issue is due to tripping your knox.
How can i fix it
Once Knox is tripped that's it there is no 'fix'
At the moment the only way to fix is replace motherboard or buy a new phone
Just means you cannot use some Samsung related apps like secure folder,Samsung pay Samsung private browser etc.

Eh, that's not a bad thing... There are plenty of way better alternatives on Gplay or F-Droid
There are 3 potential ways around it:
1. Custom ROMs based on stock that software set the Knox to be 0x0 (not tripped).
2. Use Magisk and hide your root on that app in particular.
3. Download a modded APK of Samsung browser that doesn't check for root
Hi
I have samsung galaxy S8+ G955F Model
recently i rooted my phone , and converted it to double sim,
And also installed magisk
Now when i want to update my firmware
it gives an error
YOUR SOFTWARE VERSION IS NOT SUPPORTING
and also if i want to open secure folder, so it gives an error
Please tell me the possible solution for this
Thanks
Not possible ever to run secure folder or any knox services like samsung pay and all..
Can still run Google Pay with Magisk root though
