App to show which app is currently using gps - Android Software Development

I see the gps get activated at random times. There's no way to pinpoint the offending app. Is there an app for Android similar to the one in ios where it shows it on the bottom of the notification bar? Any app that would pinpoint the app using the gps is fine.

locking the task bar

is there any way to lock the task bar at the bottom. sometimes my son play games on it and he accidently presses the task manager or opens up the wifi settings.
no reply?? i guess there is no way to do this.
Check this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.touchblocker
Maybe it's what you're looking for.
Or you could use the hide status bar app so there's no chance to touch anything

[Q] How: control how 'system UI' uses the GPS

I noticed while indoors recently that my N7 was searching for GPS continuously for over an hour which I assume was draining my battery faster...
I assumed that it would timeout but it never stopped until I went outside.
I long-pressed on the notification tray item and selected App Info to see which app was the offending party and found that it was 'system UI' with a jelly bean icon...
Questions:
Is there any way to set a timeout or figure out why it is searching for GPS?
Are there any apps to control this annoying behavior?
If there isn't a remedy, how do I change the permission to force the system to ask for permission to access the GPS?
Thanks!

you could try turning off all location settings, "uncheck the use gps satellites" option.
it could be anything from latitude, maps, google now.....and more

app hiding behind a fake camera app.

I know of a few apps that do this for example an app called hide it pro. I hides behind an app called audio manager and in order to get to it you have to do a long press on the title and enter a pass word to open the app. the app doesnt show in your app tray or anything and the audio manager actually can control your volume and everything.
well I was about to take a pic with my girls phone and noticed a random app called magnifier. when you open it it just goes to a crappy camera app with no special features. the app doesnt show in the app drawer nor does it show in google play ass downloaded. I even checked in the app manager and still nothing. anybody know anything about this or heard about this? i even googled it and there is no such app with that same icon picture.

Notification does not disappear

Sometimes I receive a notification on the back panel (number appears on the bell icon) that will not disappear even after I have checked the main display and deleted all notifications. I think it usually relates to a calendar appointment notification. The only way I can make it go away is to reboot.
Does anyone else experience this?
I was experiencing this myself and found it was aused by google now cards that were appearing in the notification shade (but not the notification bar at the top) I disabled these in the google now settings to stop it

having same problem at times. switching off phone then back on resolves it for me - just annoying
It seems worse since lollipop, sometimes if you swipe a notification away when on the lookscreen it is not removed from the yotapanel count on the epd.

I haven't tried the phone pre lollipop, but I've noticed a lot of inconsistencies in the EDP widgets. Nothing major like the notifications not appearing or not clearing, the music app sometimes not working and so on.
Might be just something that will be fixed in time I hope!
