Hi guys, first off:
thanks for that great forum which helped me getting started with flashing custom roms / getting root access etc...
When searching for my problem i found out that it is called the "Hello Hello bug".
So basically when anyone calls me and i am answering the phone the first 2 seconds or so my microphone doesnt seem to work (the person on the other side does not hear me).
I thought that this bug would be fixed in the new custom roms. i tried CM 10.1 Jellybro (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015081) but even with this up-to-date rom i am getting the same bug.
As i couldnt find anything to fix this bug i was wondering if you guys have the same problem or if anyone knows how i can get around this issue?!
Best regards,
r3try
I have that problem. I just wait for a second and then say "hello". That seems to be working out pretty well.
Not sure on a legitimate fix though. I think it has to do with the images that the devs have to work on. Hopefully it'll be fixed in an upcoming new patch.
Known issue, will eventually be fixed.

i already tried that before.. didnt change anything for me! (thanks for the tip though)
btw: that image verification is driving me crazy.. im trying to read what the image says for like 15 times now -.- (should those be any words, or are those just random letters? cant believe there is no better solution out there *sigh*)
so, the new update is coming soon (some of you might already have it) and i was wondering if you guys know if the new version fixes either the "hello hello bug" or the bug where you cant hear the caller at all on some calls?
Those bugs are really driving me crazy and i'm really wondering how its possible for a telephone to have so many bugs in the most basic functionality of all - TALKING TO PEOPLE!
any insights / suggestions?

niiiiiiice, now im really looking forward to the new version!
thx for the info
the version 4.2.2 doesnt resolve the hello hello bug for me...
do i have a chance on making it work by changing my kernel or the rom? i dont know what is the most likely cause for this.
I have exactly the same problem, no solution yet.
4.2.2 latest stable CM
same here.. problem still persists, allthough i feel like it happens fewer than before...
Hi, I have the same problem. Is there any way now to solve it? Did appear maybe any solution for that?
Nexus4 Rooted
I have lollipop on my phone, and since I installed it am unable to actually pick UP a call. Usually when a call comes in the watch shows the number/picture and a little red sign peeking in from the left and a little green thing peeking in from the right. But with 5.0 the green thing is missing and swiping from the right does nothing at all. Any other kind of swiping and tapping either does nothing or disconnects the call.
Does anyone else have L and Wear, any help on this?

Hello guys
I can confirm what TjPhysicist said, I started experiencing the same thing when I updated to Lollipop on my Nexus 5, the Green button is missing, only the red one is there and sort of glitchy, besides, the quick replies when you swipe from the bottom are not the ones I have set on my phone.
I hope somebody knows what's happening here, there's a rumor that Google will be releasing Android wear 5.0 Lollipop in the first half of December, the issue might disappear then, you never know
And "TjPhysicist", I just wanted you to know that you're not the only one, it feels a little better when you know
Cheers

As far as I know, Android Wear is just not updated for Lollipop yet. So just be patient and wait Google to release an update. Wasn't the same thing with non working music controls on Lollipop devices?

Assuming it happens at all, no one's heard anything about any sort of expected eta....
Well, "Some of these changes won’t be ready until we migrate Android Wear to the Android L release later this year, but don’t fret: they’re coming!". That was 3 months ago. So, I hope we will see wear lollipop soon, or at least in this year

"As for a time frame, we’re hearing sometime in early December, which is about a month away."
Nothing's for sure yet but I like to keep my hopes up
Check the article, it's worth a read

There's a bigger issue at work here. Tasker tasks that could "pick up calls" cannot do so anymore either (however denying a call and so on works fine). Can someone who knows better enlighten us as to why this is the case? Is there some change in the way you need to pick up calls using API or something?
P.S: Everyone please star this: Issue 79683: unable to answer calls with android wear
Hey everyone -
I originally posted about this in the Extreme Syndicate thread, but wanted to also ask here. I'm not sure if this is an issue wit my phone, the ROM, or the S5 in general. I'm on Extreme Syndicate L v2, and did a clean flash of it yesterday.
This morning, I noticed that placing the phone on it's back on a white surface while the screen is on caused a red light to appear. I think it's the heart rate sensor, but I'm not sure.
Is anyone else experiencing this? And could whatever-sensor-this-is-that-is-apparently-always-going be causing some people's battery drain on Lollipop?
Here's a short video.

Please post below whether or not you have this issue and which ROM you are on. Thanks!!

This is not very wide spread from what i know, its not related to the ROM, i was stock unrooted android. Its an error in the Update process. Verizon is unable to fix it besides a wipe to the phone, Just factory reset the Phone and the red light will stop. Sorry I cant explain any more.

Are you saying you experienced this problem and have fixed it with a factory reset? Since I just wiped and re-set everything yesterday, I'd really only want to go this route if it's a proven fix... Thanks!

OK, I think I have it narrowed down to Google Fit. I went into the app's settings and told it to not monitor my activity. After a reset of the phone, the light isn't turning back on. I'm going to monitor it for the next hour or so to confirm that it's really off for good.
EDIT - The light is still staying off, so Google Fit appears to have been the culprit!

This Would make sense since when i would run S-health it would be off for as much as a day before returning. Google fit is a good idea, if that solves it try uninstalling the app and re installing I'm interested in know why a reset of my phone solved this.
Just as a quick heads up to anyone still watching this form, the red light error with google fit has been repaired. You can now use google fit properly and you will not get the heart rate monitor always being active.
For those of us that use the Weta ROM with Daydream enabled--or perhaps other methods suggested online--i found that the VR update just released breaks functionality. You can go through setup, etc, but at the point when you would put the phone in the headset to use it goes to an unending black screen. Anyone else seeing this as well? Any updates or suggestion on how to fix?

I have the same problem on a Honor 8. The only difference is, that my black screen dissappears after a few seconds and the phone returns to the launcher.

Hi Christian,
I've had that occur as well...though most of the time it just stays black. I notice if i reinstall the ROM and don't use the daydream compatibility patch it will actually go into VR mode...however it has a big white text box in the middle indicating that the phone isn't compatible, thus making it unusable.
Would be awesome if someone could fix this. My pricey Daydream HW is a paperweight right now...
The latest update (received 2 days ago) seems to fix the issue.

i want classic rom with root. add daydream files. you say this won't work??
[email protected]! there has to be a way. it can't possibly be testing the screen refresh to know it's bad! we have the vulkan what else does it need?? aargh!
seriously though, has anybody recovered their daydream or simply use it on the v20?
with February security patch.
new fix bugs?
What's changed, i don't know. Can someone explain?

hello, how about battery drain after the latest update? I just saw a video recommending to do not update to Pie, because many features of Oreo and Nougat are gone and functions are limited, and a battery life is reduced. the review was made few months ago, though. are there any major changes with following updates? do you recommend to update? thank you.
Hi, what do you all think of the new Pie update?
What happens if, for once, there is a system update notification, it is being ignored and nothing done?
My first smartphone being HTC, then switching to Samsung twice, i don't recall getting system update notifications every now & then from the mentioned brands.
yesterday I have updated to this version via OTA.
today I notice GPS does not work (tested with Maps and GPS test).
does anyone have experienced this issue?
Not going to update my XZ1 to Pie. It seems Google has disabled third party call recording apps such as ACR within Pie. This functionality is very important to me in my work. So unless I'm going to root my phone in order to get around this I can't use call recording app. This is a major to me and many many others.

I got four darker spots on camera - two are darker and two are barely noticeable. At first I thought it was a hardware issue (dirty lens or faulty sensor), but I found, that this happened to some of the different Xperia phone users before after a software update. Can anyone else confirm that?
Just updated. GPS and camera are fine and everything seems really quick. Or maybe that's because I just rebooted and I don't do that so often
I can't use my device anymore, it's laggy as hell and so bad, that no one wants to buy it for even 150€
