Hello guys,
It's so weird that my axon 2017U failed to boot into fastboot mode by all means after installing the B25 OTA update. Howvever, my bootloader is unlocked, and this can be verified from the developer options in the new B25 rom. I guess the B25 update might have modified the aboot partition to prevent us from entering fastboot mode.
Now two questions for you:
(1) Can your device boot into fastboot mode with the latest B25 rom? I want to identify if it's a common problem.
(2) How can I install TWRP without entering the fastboot mode? I can't do that via the command "fastboot flash recovery %1".
Thank you for your help!
^_^
B25 removed the Fastboot functionality. If you wanna have TWRP back you'll need to flash it using EDL mode.
Check the EDL sticky in the dev sub forum.

Can I unlock the bootloader at all if I am on stock B25 without an unlocked bootloader?

Hello.
Long story short:
I have a OnePlus2, I can boot in Fastboot mode and my PC does recignize the fastboot device.
fastboot oem device-info says that Bootloader is locked and when I try to unlock (fastboot oem unlock) it states "okay" but cannot boot into system because there is none installed. -> Bootloop
I cannot boot into recovery nor install a recovery due to the locked bootloader.
My Question:
Is there a way to unlock the bootloader in fastboot and/or install a boot.img?
I am happy for any help that I get.
Have a good day/night

No, but why you don't have system?
You have stock recovery download official signed full zip and flash it. Recovery.
Also unbrick guide using the one you need Qualcomm drivers

I'm on the U.S. variant, and currently downgraded to B15. I've installed drivers, adb, and MiFlash. I've flashed the fastboot unlock package in edl mode with MiFlash. Adb commands work but adb reboot fastboot just restarts my phone. If I manually boot into bootloader fastboot commands don't work. I've been able to unlock and relock my bootloader before while I was on B29, but since Nougat Im not able to. I've also been looking for the official B29 MM zip package from ZTE's website, but can't find it anywhere. Could sure use some help and input.
For B29 image, go here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/axon-7-chinese-stock-roms-t3436817
Don't forget to hit thanks for TeutonJon78 supplying these....
Can't help with the rest...
Hi, Can somebody tell me if its necessary to unlock the bootloader before flashing the official firmware. My device is not rooted and has a locked bootloader but as I wanted to flash the original firmware to refresh it, I was wondering if I can do it without unlocking the bootloader.
Thanks in advance.
Check this thread for EDL Mode https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../guide-how-to-reboot-to-edl-fastboot-t3394292. Reboot to EDL Mode and flash using MI Flash Tool. This flashing not reuqires bootloader unlock.

Sorry but that is not correct, the A1 uses just fastboot, we don't use EDL.
Anyway just follow this guide
http://en.miui.com/thread-807252-1-1.html
You just need to install miFlash or use fastboot commands if your more advanced, reboot to bootloader
I came back from LOS 16.0. Flashed A2017G_B10_NOUGAT_FULL_EDL in EDL but there's a warning that my bootloader is locked. I wanted to relock it but the warning prevents me from entering bootloader or fastboot (or maybe they are not even present....). Next I flashed A2017U_FASTBOOT_UNLOCK_EDL in MiFlash but it did not do anything. It flashed OK but I still cannot access fastboot. Should I flash some marshmallow rom? Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. Cannot enter fastboot mode on Nougat ROM.
Ok I found the way usin Axon 7 Toolkit
1. Set the Android version to 7 using option 13
2. Perform unlock bootloader
Following instruction Axon & Tookit gives you EDL image of the proper fastboot partition giving the possibility to enter fastboot mode
then fasboot oem lock
I wanted to say thanks that works, but apparently my phone is bricked now - it hangs on green ZTE logo. PC recognizes it as DFU. Cannot enter EDL either. I guess I look for some guide how to recover from this situation
Managed to fix that. Somehow I was able to enter fastboot. It said my bootloader was locked so i flashed TWRP and from TWRP using ADB installed stock Nougat rom

Hi everyone,
I am the owner of an A2017G, unlocked bootloader.
I tried them all, but all of them and I can't get into fastboot / bootloader mode.
Ihave flash rom via MIFLASH and AXON7 EDL TOOL using rom Nougat and Oreo, but the result is always the same !!!
Do you have any ideas to help me, perpetuate?
Thank you.
Use miflash and flash unlock bootloader image by Turkdev, even in oreo it will give you fastboot menu.
I did this 3 days ago to relock my bootloader
Use this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-easily-t3704595
The reason you lose your fastboot menu because you unlock BL with another image (using Axon 7 EDL tool perhaps), but if you do unlock with turkdev image in tutorial, your fastboot menu will stay there
