Ice, where exactly did you get the file. I have been trying for weeks to get Androxyde to add support (reached out to him by twitter)
Is there a forum or something? or did you figure it out yourself? if so how/where? I may need to know for future reference.
AND MANY THANKS. I got my fingerprint reader back!

After downloading, extract it, you will now have a “folder G82XX“.
Now open latest version of flashtol which you have downloaded. Once all scripts are loaded, you will see: Loaded 94 devices.
Now copy the “folder G82XX” to %userprofile%\.flashTool\devices (copy this to “RUN”).
Now open flashtool, click: Device – Manage – Import, you will see: Loaded 95 devices.

"You probably don't/didn't own a Mediatek-based Xperia device, flashing them without the FSC scripts will result in a failed flash and a hard bricked phone in 99% of cases, and the other 1% are the lucky ones where the flashing fails but the phone is left in a somewhat recoverable state..."

My respond to it https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m5/help/help-comfirming-related-to-flashing-t3625133 , somebody need to confirm! On booth tools I newer used any fsc script and nobody bricked its phone with newflasher or xflasher, but allso nobody tried to flash it on mediatek based phone, so somebody need to try and confirm it. Again I continue to believe that fsc is uneeded at all! Please read all conversations between me and Androxyde to understand why I mean all this! I'm still continue to believe that flashtool had an bug which caused hard bricks on mediatek devices (again need somebody try my tools and confirm negative)

What do you mean by "Copy this to RUN" ?
Also, I see 99 devices (v0.9.23.2) and the folder G82XX already exists, although it has 2 files in it instead of 3...

[REQUEST] recovery/repair image Xperia Play

can someone who has not unlocked their bootloader go through the "repair" process in either one of the software updaters located here
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/sup...teyourproductsoftware/xperia-play?cc=gb&lc=en
when it downloads the repair image for your phone it will stores it on your computer probably somewhere in this folder
C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson
or
start>run> %temp%
the file will be ~100mb or more
if someone can download that file and upload it to any media shareing website it would be greatly appreciated
I and we will need this for custom roms, root, and recovery if something goes afoot.
many thanks,
grant
EDIT: just an FYI this is different than the system.img /system dump that is floating around the recovery contains the boot.img, nv.img radio.img and among other things
hi johnsongrantr i just bought an xperia play sim free locked bootloader. I am new to the android front (newbie) been an iphone user for a while, if you explain what i need to do to get the recovery img i am more than happy to help

C:\ProgramData\Sony Ericsson\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs
is where it will be and it will be called something like: FILE_277919341 and will be 157MB
Just done it but that file cant be opened even with magiciso like other roms can.
there is this as well:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/sup...etailed/updateservice/xperia-play?cc=gb&lc=en
interestingly the above software tells you to press the back key before plugging in the usb!

thanks, if you or anyone else is following along at home, universal extractor http://legroom.net/software/uniextract can extract *most* archive files unless it is heavily encrypted... then more digging I must do.
BUT... if that works, how to inject root access to a already compiled boot.img + ram disk have a look at this guide
http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=HOWTO:_Unpack,_Edit,_and_Re-Pack_Boot_Images
read the whole article but pay attention to the "alternative method" where you modify default.prop and change the line ro.secure=1 to ro.secure=0
that's basically all there is to it. Lets hope we can cleanly extract the contents of that file shall we
Already tried that as well bud just shows me a log file and thats it.
Need to rename it to use uniextract but nothing is accepted it fails on all
I litterly have no idea how we get the image file short of jtagging it!
how did they get it for the arc?

well I'll just have to look at it then
shouldn't need jtagging, might be able to get an unsecure x10/or arc boot.img to boot enough to pull the info we need, but I don't want to even start messing with that junk yet
was this before or after the source for the arc was released?

they might have just compiled from source.... sadly, the play doesn't have it's source out yet
EDIT:x10/ or arc
not sure been following the arc threads for a while they havent rooted yet but they are leaps ahead of us we cant make stage 1.
cant get an answer yet as to how they got it, ive posted but waiting on a reply

In that folder, take the two biggest files (150MB and 16MB estimated) and copy them inside a folder like on your desktop
Download Bin4ry FlashTool and then go to the second tab in the program and select decrypt and then select the folder you have placed those two files and then after decrypting it will start the bundle which needs some information you put in then OK and you .ftf file will be ready.
quick and dirty explanation.hope it helps
EDIT1: make sure in FlashTool folder under loaders(folder) you have the lt15.sin. If you don't have it I have uploaded it somewhere here if you couldn't find it let me know. This is needed to make the ftf for ARC.

Problem with choosing the device
Hey! At first want to thank you for your Help
I'm just tryin to create a Stock-Rom and when I come to the point of choosing the Device there actualy is the Arc but the field seems to be an "Or" field and not "Xor"
One of the fields "X10 / X10 Mini / X10 Mini pro / X8" always is chosen. The Arc can't be chosen exclusively.
What to do now?
And two other questions...
1st: The file I'm creating maybe of higher importance for a lot of people in the german Arc community, so I want to be sure that none of my personal data is in the ROM included I am creating... can I ?
2nd: Is it generally necessary or recommended to unlock the bootloader and to Root my new Phone when I am only interested in a clean unbranded OS ? I just want to delete the rubbish my provider treats me to have!

If there is program issue, you better off contact Androxyde to solve issues with the software.
In order to get the files from blob_fs folder it means that you have already downloaded the files from SE Server and that means there is no user information associated with the file.
If you want to clean junk apps from the ROM pre-installed you have to get root permission to uninstall them and I think @ this moment only way to root is to have unlocked bootloader.

[Q] Droid Pro Update sucks

OK, I tried to update the phone 6 times now.
The normal way always ended with "update not installed".
I tried with the Recovery Mode ... also no luck.
I reset the phone to factory data and tried to update again... also no luck.
It always ended after checking "/system/app/BackupAssistanceClient.apk" ... installation aborted.
The zip file is ok, no problems....
Any hint for me?
These instructions can help and more info about the update.

Edit: Link problem
Edit 2: Link been fix
I guess you uninstalled the program BackupAssistanceClient.apk. We must throw back the program. You can take them out of the old firmware http://www.mediafire.com/?4450xiqnxngzq.
You'll need two programs: SBF-ReCalc 1.2.9.1 and Diskinternals Linux_Reader
First you understand the firmware to the code groups. You will need a group number 39.
The second program allows you to get out of the code of the folder system.
To do this:
1. Install and run the prog.
2. Click the menu item Drivers Mount Image.
3. Were 39 group, and click Mount. In the program window will appear system (Linux native Volume 1) with all its contents.
4. Select the desired item and right-click choose Save, and then follow the instructions.
5. That's all you have files you need.

Update Ativ S to the last DFP and last Samsung firmware without BootLoop

Follow the guide in the immage.
Guide from Marass82 from WindowsMania.pl
First download this:
https://www.mediafire.com/?5alhewa553gbgao
You can have:
SO 8.10.14219.341
Firmware 2424.14.9.3
Without BootLoop
After the update revert the registry key to the original value and reboot your Ativ S and all retutn normally
Default values are:
HKLM \ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MTP
"DataStore" = C:\Data\Users\PUBLIC
HKLM\SYSTEM\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo
"PhoneManufacturer" = SAMSUNG
HKLM\SYSTEM\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo
PhoneManufacturerModelName = GT-I8750
You must to revert to default because you have a small icon and keyboard with PhoneManufacturerModelName = RM-937_eu_euro1_970 because is for Lumia 1520 that have a 6" screen

Please don't use semi-sketchy third-party sites like MediaFire for small files. XDA allows you to attach files (including ZIPs, even ones much bigger than yours) for download directly on a post, without having to deal the scum that is MediaFire.
When I copy Dsm files I have to delete all existing files before? Or I have to keep them all together the new ones?

[GUIDE]a6020l36 Official Lenovo Andoid 6.0.1 (S155) for others a6020

Hello all a6020a46 users like me.
I have here a way to update the phone to S155, the official Lenovo update for Android M (6.0.1), which is only released in some countries in South America. Although I'm on Brazil, my version is not the a6020l36, but the a6020a46.
It's all pretty simple to do and you can do from any ROM, but I recommend that you be on the last available stock (I made it from AEX 4.1 and had no problems). Everything will be done from a backup made by TWRP
Tutorial:
1- Download the backup here: Android File Host
Or here: MediaFire
2- Unzip somewhere and copy to root of any storage.
p.s. If you have any saved updates, copy the TWRP folder from your mobile phone to somewhere on your PC and delete it before copying TWRP from the update.
3- Enter Recovery mode and make a Full-Wipe (Be careful not to delete the partition where the backup is saved).
4- Go Restore and select the update (1970-06-18--19-03-18 ...) and select ONLY Boot and System. Deselect all and select Boot and System only.
SELECT ONLY BOOT AND SYSTEM!!!!
5- System reboot.
p.s. If the phone takes too long to start, remove the battery for some time and try again, I had to do this.
I hope it works for everyone as it worked for me. It had few changes in the interface, but had many bugs solved. I recommend to test and see for yourself.
None of this would be possible if Aleph Scalioni had not backed up the update for us.
So, thank you very much Aleph Scalioni :highfive:

Probably not. It is available only in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

When you select backup twrp, select all but firmware, reboot phone and wait, if your phone not boot ...open batterie and reboot and all is good.
Volte is available here?
Does this method works on a6020a46 3GB variant???

I think your 2nd step is wrong we have to unzip it in the TWRP folder which is under sdcard1 (or sdcard0).....

I don't know and I have no way to test. If you want to test, tell me if it works.

No, inside the compressed file is the TWRP folder. It should be placed directly on the root of internal or external storage. Putting it inside the TWRP folder you will get TWRP/TWRP/Backup/... and TWRP will not recognize it.

You need to rename the folder inside the backup to match your phone "serial" (make other backup and copy the code) , so twrp can see the backup.
If this works hit that thanks button:good:
@MaxPresi I think you forgot to mention that this ROM doesn't support VoLTE..
1 . Create a minimal backup
2. Replace the files on your backup (the final folder, where the individual files are) with the files from backup you've downloaded
3. Install ONLY system and boot [installing firmware will result in error]
