Hi, i have a xt1621 non plus, i've unlocked for rooting Marshmallow, but now i have the Nougat Stock rom 25.93.14-4 via stock recovery. I've read in other threads that i need the latest stock rom for my device to re-lock the bootloader. I can't find the rom.
Now, when i downgrade to Marshmallow, the update to Nougat 25.93.14-14 appears, but is possible to re-lock with the OTA update?
Regards.

No, you need to flash the images via fastboot and then run the lock command. There are explicit instructions on this forum.

Hi guys,
my Oneplus TWO is totally stock (no ROOT, nor Recovery, locked bootloader).
I just want to ask how could I "convert" it to original HydrogenOS, with working OTA feature.
Is there any procedure to follow? Is it possible or I need to unlock IT and flash a custom HydrogenOS firmware?
Edit:
Fist unlock the booloader, easy step.
Download specific OxygenOS 3.0 TWPR and SuperSU available here:
- [ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates
Install Recovery and SuperSU.
So now you are able to flash any firmware.

Thanks for your reply.
So, I just need to unlock my phone, install TWRP compatible with MM (link) and follow instruction for HydrogenOS.
But, as I understood, OTA is not available.

If you don't flash the Debloater+SuperSU zip you may get OTAs but you won't have root and you'll have a pile of Chinese apps.
I don't really get why OTA updates are so important anyway.

If you are in H2OS and that there is an update you will need to flash the full rom(if you are root) it's recommended to clean flash if you flash a full rom but you can use titanium backup otherwise i think dirty flash full rom will be fine
Hi, mission completed!
I've unlocked bootloader.
I used specific OxygenOS 3.0 TWPR and SuperSU available here:

Thanks guys.
Hi all,
Noobie questions sorry.
I have a xt1625 us retail version and I'm getting prompted to take the OTA nougat update.
However, I have unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed so it fails.
1) Is the stock nougat available as a zip?
2) Is my best option to relock bootloader and go back to stock recovery, in order to take the OTA?
3)Is there a stable custom rom that is preferable?
Thanks very much
update;
I reflashed the stock firmware using fastboot and the 16 ish commands needed.
After this I took the OTA update without issues.
You can re root your phone and reinstall twrp now.

Yes. bootloader remains unlocked, so I can root later.
for now I am satisfied, stock rom isn't too bloaty
I have Custom ROM stock nougat
Can I install only the MM bootloader, do full wipe, and install a custom MM ROM, just for recovery?
Downgrade for recovery?
I'm confused about what you want to achieve, are you asking if you can downgrade to stock marshmallow from stock Nougat, to flash a custom marshmallow ROM?
If so, you could downgrade, but I would strongly recommend not using OTA updates on the stock marshmallow ROM if you downgrade, else you may hard brick your device. In most cases, you can't downgrade the bootloader in fastboot.
I'm not sure what you are asking for about recovery, can you elaborate?

You can even stay on nougat firmware, there's no need to downgrade as nougat is official released and available for all countries
How do I know which bootloader do I have? I'm currently running build B35.
Can someone direct me to a thread how to flash universal bootloader and modem?
If I use bkores flash toolkit, it said you have to flash universal bootloader, modem along with Rom and Gapps but in which order?
If using twrp for future flash do I need to flash universal bootloader and modem every time I switch ROM?
I'm not an expert but here's what I understand.
1. You don't have to worry which version you have unless you're flashing a custom ROM, usually for Nougat you want the B15 and for Oreo you want the B35.
2.Universal Bootloader>Modem>ROM>GApps>Magisk/SuperSU
3.You only need to flash it once if you're switching ROMs with the same android version.

If you haven't you need to unlock your bootloader before you can start flashing custom ROM. You can find a guide on how to do it here.
Hello,
I wonder if it's possible to flash a marshmallow Rom directly from Oreo with twrp? Is it possible or the boot loader will create some issue?
Thank

bootloader will create an issue. marshmallow is long gone my friend unless you have some older devices that were rooted and had TWRP installed prior to the bootloader upgrade was issued
Ok sad
