I used to run custom ROM during my time with Nexus 6p and they support dynamic navbar (change color based on app). Anyone has idea on how to achieve the same with SO without root?
Nav bar apps on Google Play, but I wasn't thrilled with how it worked - YMMV

It hasn't been updated for kitkat.
Install LMT launcher from here(2.0RC5): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
then add this line to the end of your build.prop:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
Then reboot and you'll have pie controls.

I use the paid root version of GMD Gesture control. It works fine, however, you will lose wallpaper while screen is in expanded mode if you are using the GEL launcher. It returns upon exiting & aside from that, all gesture features work fine. I prefer it because of the problem of PIE popping up & closing the app when swiping at the edge during game play.

I bought Auto Hide Soft Keys, because I really like edge swiping (got used to it on my Surface). Works great. It does require root, though.

One awesome improvement in 4.4 is that the "3 dots" menus still show, even with the soft navbar hidden. I used to be forced to use an Xposed module for that. Lucky that 4.4 fixed it as Xposed doesn't work anymore!

It does, I'm using it right now. Make sure you are using the 2.0 rc5 beta version.

Is there a way to get transparent soft keys and status bar on CM10.2? Also why is it every ROM I use GPS never works?
Not trying to be a douche, just wondering.
Don't know about the GPS but if you download Nova Launcher's Beta it allows transparent Nav and Status Bars.

Select devices only or 4.4 for it to work.
Try using Xposed Framework + GravityBox module. It worked for me.

Actually it won't even change the status bar color. As soon as I exit it goes back to black.

Anybody know who the dev was for the 0pt.navbar so we could reach out to them possibly?

it's @tytydraco, but he himself still can't make one for Oreo, i don't think it will ever be like 0pt.navbar, at least without root.

I dont with my setup? Theres only ever a black bar when the keyboard pops up. The rest of the time there is zero navbar and I just use gestures. I barely notice I don't have a navbar anymore.

You can adjust the height via the adb. Work perfectly with my swipe gestures. And no useless bar under the keyboard.

Yes you can do it
Just download fluid navigation from play store and through adb make it work. Search google for more
Yes, there are some apps in the playstore that can hide navigation bar. I tested this when I was trying the gesture navbar from xda. Changed back after a day as I am not used to it.
Its about hiding not changing soft button (nav bar)
Through adb you can hide the nav bar without unlocking bootloader or root privileges.
Install system ui tuner. It has that option
is there anyway to get fling navigation bar in stock or custom roms and many custom roms don't have fling nav bar(eg.Liquid remix 9.0pie)

Sir Good day. I have a different question. I got Asus Zenfone max pro m1 (4gb). Actually there is no problem with my phone. I just want to inquire how to enable that 4th icon on the navigation bar on the lower right. I saw the demo phone on one of the phone dealers here in my place. I noticed that there is a 4th icon on the navigation bar. If you press it, it will launch the music controller (pause play skip) similar with the music widget. I just want to know how to activate or enable it. Thank you for your kind response
