Please check THIS thread for new versions!!!
This is my first work on Lenovo K910.
This 1st Rom doesn't have as many tweaks as i usually do on my previous works (Sony X10 & Samsung S3).
Check post 2 for major tweaks.
Important
Make sure that you use TWRP for this. I didn't try on any other recovery.
Go here if you don't have it and follow the step-by-step guide.
This rom is for K910 only so if you try to install on any other than K910 version it's your resposability (i.e. K910e, etc)
What to Expect From this?
Based on VIBEUI_V2.0_1437
Deodexed
Clean many apps as possible [check 2nd post if you want something back] - Only 482Mb!!!
Faster
Slightly tweaked build.prop file
English as default
Do not expect Multi Language for two reasons. 1st: VibeUI came out in in short periods. 2nd: Don't have time and/or patience.
To Do List
Make system faster
Change Kernel to support init files
OTA Updates
Super tweaked build.prop file
????
Step-by-Step Install procedure
Do a backup
On TWRP Wipe > Factory Reset
Through TWRP install VIBEUI_V2.0_1437_deodexed.zip
Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache
Reboot
At this moment you have a very clean and stable rom. Now check 2nd post to build our own personal rom. Enjoy :good:
Mirrors
Android File Host
Bugs
When you finish the install procedure, you'll find some files related to system apps left behind on your launcher. You could delete them by long press
Due many system apps have been deleted and mostly KK had some bugs (i.e. check here) Play Google may cause you a bit a work.

Does this ROM support Google Voice direct dialing?
Thanks much for your work. I would like to give this a try. Before doing so, I have a quick question - does it support Google Voice direct dialing? I mean, after installing the Google Voice app and choose the option "Use Google Voice to make all calls," will a call then be dialed out using Google Voice?
I ask this question because Lenovo must have done something to break this desired behavior. What happens on the Lenovo official ROM is: an error message of "call not sent" is displayed, and the native dialer keeps dialing out, so the receiving party will see the phone number associated with the SIM card, but not the Google Voice number.

@wxppro
I'm sure that issue still remain in this version since i didn't change anything related with that.
That's s.th i don't use so...
If you try this rom and if that bug is present please report on "bug report" and i'll look into that in the next version
So does this ROM come with google services and root or do I need to install those after flashing the ROM?
This one is w/o both but tomorrow will be available a new version

Please keep on update clean version.
This is the fastest and longest battery life for my K910.
My current config which is very stable is...
i install this version plus lenovo theme center from AROMA (need it for disable annoying bubble lockscreen)
i use Titanium backup to uninstall LeNote and Lenovo calendar.
i apply GPS patch from Tedulus.
i tried 2.5.1 but i believe that DPI config drain battery and i prefer to have stock font than custom font from author.
New version available today
Please check THIS thread for new versions!!!

Latest & Greatest, Multilang Dev MIUI v7 ROM - v5.10.16 by Xiaomi.eu [With GApps!]
Edited October 16th: New ROM is out today.... http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/5-10-15-16.28809/
For those wondering what the difference between ROM options for XRN2 (Hermes):
Chinese Developer: Only Chinese and English, no PlayStore, Official, Chinese Servers Download
Global Developer: Multilanguage, PlayStore, Official, only for some devices, Chinese Servers Download
Xiaomi.eu: Multilanguage, PlayStore, Based on Official ROM, European Servers Download (but also American)
Edited October 9: New Rom v5.10.8 is out: http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/5-10-8.28692/
I have also just discovered that since Sept 20th, some cool software called WinDroid Universal Android Toolkit v2.5 now supports the Redmi Note 2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499926
WinDroid Universal Android Toolkit takes many ADB and Fastboot commands and puts them into an easy to use toolkit that supports a ton of Android devices. It's goal is to simplify the process of unlocking a device's bootloader, flashing a custom recovery and gaining root for the newbies of the Android world.
This should make it easier for those not so familiar with Android!
Edited 25th Sept: The latest weekly just dropped v5.9.24 which you can get from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347822062
ROM thread: http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/5-9-24.28459/
For the new contestants to the show, this is the best ROM available for this device because it has no Chinese language at all, no bloatware apps and should have Google Apps baked in.
It is a chinese holiday for the whole first week of October so there won't be another ROM for a couple of weeks.
My updater app doesn't show any new versions, because it is unofficial I guess and doesn't work with the updater app.
I am still on v5.9.9 so I guess I will be wiping cache and dalvik cache and trying to do a "dirty flash" and crossing my fingers that it doesn't wipe my data.
Edited 19th Sept: There is now a new version v5.9.18 available here, thanks to the xiaomi.eu forum: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347818342
This fixes a critical bug in v5.9.17. However, one user on the xiaomi.eu forum has reported a wifi issue with v5.9.18, however this version is so new, and one user is not a big sample size.
http://xiaomi.eu/community/forums/miui-weekly-rom-releases.103/
However, I am not 100% sure that this isn't just the China DEV ROM. I am also unsure if this one has Google Apps baked in or you have to add it afterwards via TWRP.
I am still running 5.9.9 which is working great 99% of the time for me, however and I have a bug in which many programs that stream live video, after the video starts, 20 seconds into the steam the audio stops but the video keeps going. Can someone who installs the latest v5.9.18 please test and see if they have a problem with Livestation app, Al-Jazeera app, or NHK world app. Thanks!
This is the changelog for v5.9.17 which is the latest I could find. It is for the China ROM not multilanguage but I assume the bug fixes are the same.

10th September - v5.9.9
OK Boys and girls, if you have this device, have TWRP installed, then backup all your data and install this new ROM, it is awesome.
When I first got my device, it was chinese keyboard, no Google Apps and even after updating to MIUI v7, I still had issues with contacts not syncing.
I downloaded and installed this ROM which just came out today or yesterday: (I uploaded the file, hosted in my google drive as it disappeared from Android File Host): http://gdurl.com/Ww2J/download
I went into TWRP, wiped data, cache and dalvik cache to start from scratch.
After rebooting, I find this multi-language ROM is great, no chinese keyboard and it asked me for my google account details. The contact that would not sync to my phone is in there straight away.
Under settings -> Accounts -> All -> Google -> Contacts is slow to sync and most of the time just says "syncing now" but I did see it also say it was successful, "last sync 9/10/2015"
There is no Chinese bloatware at all, no chinese ANYWHERE which is good because on the China Dev ROM from last week, the Theme store was all chinese. Now my theme store is in English
Because I am signed up to a Mi Account, it actually restored an SMS I had just sent before I wiped my device, also very nice. Unfortunately still no easy backup for Whatsapp and Viber I assume.
Incidentally, even with an X10 processor and wifi, telling your phone to install 76 apps at the same time still takes a while.....
Again, incidentally, it tells you when you install Aptoide that it contains a virus and even gives it a name, something.expense.aptoide which is probably the payment gateway but anyway, in the older China Dev ROM, this didn't happen, and but it would see Aptoide as a security threat when you did a manual scan of your device, with a "fix" button that doesn't actually tell you what it is fixing so I had to install Aptoide again after I pressed it. Anyway, now I actually like this feature, I mean besides Aptoide, if I install something that might have a virus, MIUI will warn me before I even install it, nice.
Has it improved battery life at all?
What makes you think I can tell if battery life has improved on a ROM I installed 15 minutes ago?
Thanks for this , could you please post a link to the TWRP you used ( and if possible instructions to install it ) ? I'm sure this can be found online but I'd rather have one that worked and which I know is in English.

Sup guys,
So if I understand it correctly the stable version for Redmi Note 2 is MIUI 6.7.5. and if you're prepared to go a bit more beta MIUI 7.9.10/11 is also an option, right?
If I would install the multi-version from Xiaomi.eu (7.9.10) would I be able to install updates from the ROM itself, like OTA? Or do I need do manually download and use recovery every time?
I have uplaoded the original file to my Google Drive: http://gdurl.com/Ww2J/download

The correct stable version is MIUI 6, which came on the device. The beta is MIUI 7, chinese edition, on the official site. The version number for these start with v5.x.x
This thread is regards to the un-official multi-language ROMs which are floating around now. This one is v5.9.9. There is a v5.9.11 around, however the changelog just says something about supporting a tiny change to xiaomi headphones.
I just used updater to check and it said no new updates, it just says I am running v5.9.9, and that it is a weekly development cycle. I think since the updater fully recognizes this is a MIUI ROM, the OTA would work, however I am fearful the OTA might switch it back to Chinese, so I intend to stay on this ROM until they release an official Multi-language version. I don't know if TWRP did anything to prevent OTA, however I made sure that I didn't modify the setting when TWRP was telling me that it could affect OTA updates if i enable a certain setting.
It is confusing because the file name is telling you it is running ON Android 5.0, using v7 of MIUI, and the codename of the device is Hermes, and the ROM version is 5.9.9
....
I'm going to flash this beta ROM because I want to have MIUI V7 so my question is whether this beta ROM is stable enough since the phone is going to be a present and I don't want it crashing all over the place.
Thanks.
Today the latest China Development Update was released for our Mi 5s.

Thanks, you are so quick. I am trying to install.
There is no game boost mode
Updated for 6.12.8.
----
For the fun of flashing, I was wondering if I could switch to the developer ROM without unlocking and IT WORKED!
I was running the official China 8.0.18.0 ROM on my Mi 5s. I downloaded the ROM as mentioned in the second link, copied it on my 5s, opened the Updater app which is pre-installed on the phone, selected "Choose update package" under options and selected the miui_MI5S_6.12.8_29a0b08d57_6.0.zip file.
The updater asked me if I want to install this and I said yes.
Then it informed me it needs to wipe all data, because the ROM is an older (?) version which I confirmed.
The phone restarted and installed the ROM and afterwards the initial setup wizard greeted me and I made the fresh configuration.
So yeah, if you are running official China stable release, you can switch to developer without actually unlocking the bootloader!
Updated to latest build 6.12.22.

Welcome!
Today we got a few things to bring you.
A rundown of our new versioning system, concept art for a new way to navigate your device called Blink, a few more builds, our current progress on android Pie and a new discord server!
The small stuff
To start off, we got a few more builds to share! Today we welcome OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 3 & OnePlus 3T! Moreover, we hope to bring you a few more builds later.
we also got a new Discord server up and running.
You will find the link to the builds at the bottom along with a link to a post where you can find more information and where the maintainer will be available for questions. You can also find a link to our Sony builds and our new discord server down below.
Now that we have gotten most of our devices released, it´s time to talk about the future.
A new way to keep track of releases
Let’s start with our with a chat about our new versioning convention that we’ll be using from now on.
Some of you might have noticed that the Paranoid Android version in the sony builds we pushed was listed as OA1, and not 8.0.0 as you might have expected.
We decided to move to this newer naming convention to reduce any confusion with the numbering of our releases in comparison to the Android Version, and easier to keep track of.
How does it work?
This new versioning system follows the convention of:
Android Release - Paranoid Android Version Major - Paranoid Android Version Minor
So in the case of our Oreo builds so far:
O for Oreo
A for the first PA Oreo Release
1 for Revision 1
If we were to release a hotfix for a minor bug we’d bump up to OA2, OA3 etc and for major things like new features or Security Patches we’d go to OB1, OC1 etc
We hope this is of interest to some of you and that this change makes things a lot easier for all our users to understand.
Android Pie progress
We have officially started our bringup of Android 9 Pie, based on CAF. It is however still way too early to share anything beyond that fact at this point.
We will keep you posted once stuff starts to boot!
Concept Monday - Blink navigation
https://youtu.be/RT9ahIhvA_A
We are proud to present our first concept video today courtesy of +Espen Flagtvedt Olsen: Blink navigation!
Blink navigation is a new way to navigate based on gesture navigation and
some of the fundamental ideas that made PIE navigation so popular: Accessibility, ease of use and more screen real estate.
It will open where you swipe, and can be configured to be triggered on either one or all of the screen edges, great for both left handed and right handed people alike.
How it works
1. A short swipe up and to left will take you back to the previous screen.
2. Swiping up and to the right will either give you a rotation/keyboard toggle
or a shortcut of your choice.
3. A short swipe up will take you home,
while a longer one will take you to your recent apps.
Long swiping and then swiping left and/or right will let you
scroll through your recent apps.
4. Getting to your favorite assistant is as simple as swiping up
and holding the pill for a moment until it opens.
Again we repeat our call for anyone who is interested in helping us with development of our features like this one. Currently we are lacking in developers having experience working in framework development. If interested contact us on telegram or discord.
Flashing Instructions for Sony builds
To flash Paranoid Android for your device please follow these instructions:
1. Download the ROM zip for your device
2. Erase userdata to remove stock encryption if device was on stock
3. Flash TWRP for your device
4. Flash the ROM and any other files (Gapps) in TWRP
5. Turn off the device and connect to PC via fastboot
6. Download the Vendor Image for your device
Xperia X, Xperia X Compact use this Loire Image:
https://developer.sony.com/file/dow...s-for-aosp-oreo-android-8-1-kernel-4-9-loire/
Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact use this Yoshino Image:
https://developer.sony.com/file/dow...for-aosp-oreo-android-8-1-kernel-4-4-yoshino/
7. Unzip the Vendor Image folder
8. Flash the image using the following command:

New gestures:

Bubbles:
Bubbles are a new feature in Android Q. With bubbles users can easily multi-task from anywhere on their device. Bubbles are built into the Notification system. They float on top of other app content and follow the user wherever they go. Bubbles can be expanded to reveal app functionality and information, and can be collapsed when not being used.

I had the same problem after installing magisk on beta 1. the phone began restarting itself until it couldnt boot to desktop. i searched then but nobody was reporting the same issue so i gave up and reinstalled pie.
no issues here, i had to flash both booth partitions manually. been running beautiful
I figured out the problem. İf you use system in English everything perfect. For me changing system language to Turkish starts Bootloop when restarting.
