I attempted to flash a ROM, Lineage 13.
Unlocked the device
Flashed the GS Recovery
Wiped everything
Sideloaded the Lineage 13 ROM
Installed the Lineage 13 ROM
Doesn't boot
I'm stuck in Fastboot. My Bootloader is no longer unlocked, and it won't let me unlock it "oem unlock is not allowed."
Can't boot into any recovery, or anything else.
I will pay if someone can get my phone working (Even to stock) tonight via hangouts or VOIP.
Flashed an aboot file below, and I somehow booted into the Lineage 13 ROM holy crap.

I think this is sorted, but you can use this when stuck in fastboot: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/guide-how-to-manually-upgrade-firmware-t3609786

Good morning, (at least where I'm at) I want to test out a Nougat rom or two and I am currently on a Marshmallow rom (specifically Resurrection Remix). I know I have to flash the radios for Nougat, and also the vendor image. However,if I end up going back to my old rom will I have to flash MM radios again or will the new radios still work? Also will there be any other problems when going between Nougat and MM? I don't believe this question has been asked. At least I could not find it. If it was feel free to just leave the link below! Thanks for you help!
Hi mate.
Radios are backwards compatible, so the Nougat radio will work on MM, however in case you want to go back you can also do it.
About downgrading from N to MM this are the steps I used to return to stock MM. The only thing that cannot be downgraded is the bootloader.
1. Enabled OEM unlock in developer options.
2. Booted into bootloader and used "fastboot flashing unlock" to unlock bootloader.
3. Rebooted phone and went through initial setup (Still in Nougat).
4. Booted into bootloader and flashed radio.img and rebooted bootloader.
5. In bootoader, I booted TWRP without flashing it using "fastboot boot twrp.img"
6. In TWRP I did a factory reset, then went into advanced wipe and marked all the options and proceeded to wipe. Finally I used the option of wipe data.
7. Booted into bootloader again from the options in TWRP, and started doing the following commands:
a. fastboot flash boot boot.img
b. fastboot erase cache
c. fastboot flash cache cache.img
d. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
e. fastboot format system
f. fastboot flash system system.img
g. fastboot erase vendor
h. fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
i. fastboot format userdata
8. Then proceeded to boot the phone and now I'm running MM again.
You do need only this...from Marshmallow just update to the last Nougat version NRD90U, with the stock factory image...then you can with a custom recovery, switch between N and M without any problem...just flash custom via recovery and it works...no need to flash boot, bootloader, vendor ecc any time... only rom
Thanks, if i would have known that i would have updated my stock to Nougut first before unlocking, when i get home tonight i will go back to stock and update. Then i will reflash twrp and my custom rom. Thanks!
Hi there! I recently got my first android phone so wanted to install Lineage os 15.1 but messed it up right away as it's in now in boot loop! Here's what I did:
It was on Android 8.0 angler-opr5.170623.011-factory-0e60ceb6 but I unlocked its boot loader and installed custom recovery and I successfully flashed in the fastboot , vendor, radio and boot loader from Lineage OS 15.1 thread, now instead of following the rest of instructions, I madly decided to reboot the device using fastboot reboot and now I don't see anything except these colored circles which is what boot loop probably is! Please help me find a solution! Thank you!
edited: I have successfully entered into bootloader mode but don't know how to proceed!
I'd flash all the stock firmware in bootloader and start over. Grab the latest firmware package from Google's site, extract it, then run:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img (name changes with version)
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio.img (name changes with version)
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
Reboot to system
You'll probably have to flash your custom recovery again in bootloader after the first boot. It usually reverts back to stock.

Part 10 in the thread above^
I recommend you installing an easy official ROM.
With them all you need to do is a clean flash of the ROM
Since I'm still a noob so I need to muster up courage to proceed but I really appreciate your valuable input guys!! Cheers!! :good:

I came back from LOS 16.0. Flashed A2017G_B10_NOUGAT_FULL_EDL in EDL but there's a warning that my bootloader is locked. I wanted to relock it but the warning prevents me from entering bootloader or fastboot (or maybe they are not even present....). Next I flashed A2017U_FASTBOOT_UNLOCK_EDL in MiFlash but it did not do anything. It flashed OK but I still cannot access fastboot. Should I flash some marshmallow rom? Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. Cannot enter fastboot mode on Nougat ROM.
Ok I found the way usin Axon 7 Toolkit
1. Set the Android version to 7 using option 13
2. Perform unlock bootloader
Following instruction Axon & Tookit gives you EDL image of the proper fastboot partition giving the possibility to enter fastboot mode
then fasboot oem lock
I wanted to say thanks that works, but apparently my phone is bricked now - it hangs on green ZTE logo. PC recognizes it as DFU. Cannot enter EDL either. I guess I look for some guide how to recover from this situation
Managed to fix that. Somehow I was able to enter fastboot. It said my bootloader was locked so i flashed TWRP and from TWRP using ADB installed stock Nougat rom

If you was able flash twrp mens your boolaeder was unlocked?
No there's a TWRP that works on locked bootloader.

Seems that TWRP was inatlled before the bootloder was locked again.
I updated to Pie today using OTA. This resulted in a bootloop. Since my bootloader was already unlocked, I booted TWRP (not flashed) and swapped slots. This resulted in booting to the recovery "no command" prompt instead. So I downloaded the only ROM Xiaomi has on their site - 8.1 - and flashed this with the "flash_all_except_storage" script. Still bootloops, only now the bootloader is relocked.
So, anyone know how to unlock the bootloader on a non-booting Android One device? Is there an EDL mode on these?

Seriously? No one reads thread online?! I quote to NEVER, EVER, FLASH OREO/NOUGAT ROMS AFTER UPDATING TO PIE!!!
I downloaded the latest OFFICIAL ROM when it was already bootlooping.... Seriously? I'm supposed to go searching online for 3rd party information rather than the official?
Now how about people with useful information instead of arrogance?
If I'm not wrong you just need to boot into bootloader and fastboot oem unlock. With unlocked bootloader, go fastboot mode and flash official stock pie fastboot rom
Hi,
I am having a problem trying to relock my bootloader.
i am selling my g4, so needed to remove my custom rom, flash stock and relock my bootloader.
I downloaded and flashed via twrp the stock 8.1 ROM on the g4 plus page. ( stock rom in twrp format)
That went fine.
Then I booted into fastboot , and entered fastboot lock command fastboot oem lock
It said the android image was not valid?
So I then entered fastboot flashing lock
it rebooted fine to the stock android , but now the bootloader warning says ''your device has loaded a different operating system'', and thens boots 8.1.
DO you think I should go back anf flash stock rom ( not a twrp flashable version), using fastboot commands, ending with 'fastboot oem lock' ?
Just dont want to brick it, as it is now sold!
Many Thanks for any help

P.S. the TWRP I am using is a custom one ( i think )

Use LMSA flash rescue option if you have a Windows machine
(Lenovo) MOTO Smart Assistant (PC)
then see
Relocking the bootloader

THanks for the reply.
Strange, thought I had already updated this
I went back to stock firmware and decided to flash with fastboot all individual files.
At some point, I got the same ''verification failed' but the command line suggested flashing system, boot, and ( something else, cant remember) again.
i did this this, and this time, no errors occured, and I had a complete install, with a locked bootloader, and no bootloader warning screen.!
Yay - result
Thanks again for your advice - I will remember it for the future.
