Hi,
I want to get an all-in-one unit for my 04 Saab 9-5 instead of mounting separate gps, hf, radio, mp3, torque etc. devices. Since the only "official" option available here are outdated and overpriced $500+ Kenwood, Parrot et al units (considering that a $200 tablet can do the same things) the only option seems to be to go with stuff from China.
But it's confusing how many options there are and how poorly described and oddly specced they are. Saw some obvious fake "android"s. 512 MB RAM (wtf that already wasn't enough 5 years ago). Heard some units don't have stuff I'd consider automatic in a head unit like RDS or ambient light sensor, but you won't know unless you ask the vendor? I did some research and for a while there I thought I'd go with a unit from Joying ( https:// goo.gl /Qs4rfi ) since I read Sofia had the only usable Bluetooth chip, but now I see Android 6 units and in a nother thread someone said Sofia is old and the new trend is PX5 whatever that is? So what's the best choice at the moment?
I'm looking for a unit under $300 that ships from within the EU like the Joying I linked. Customs and VAT is no joke, +30% to price on orders above 150EUR. I want a unit that is usable out of the box as-is; while I am somewhat tech-savvy and could tinker around with it at least on a software level if I really had to, I have no desire to put in any time to research, flash and test new ROMs, write long scripts etc. Not the type of development I'd enjoy. I expect a (mostly) finished product. Is there such a thing at the moment, or are these devices still underdeveloped?
I know this thread isn't exactly unique, but the other threads are a) older and b) often don't consider EU

hi, i have the same problem, i have Suzuki Swift, Dasaita make nice head unit with 10" displey, which cost after discount cca 370 USD (this discount ends in 1 hour, without discount cost 470 USD), with taxes is the price over 500 USD (600 USD)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Das...uki-Swift-with-Octa-Core-2GB/32804594653.html
plus for Dasaita:
is manufacturer, not reseller
fitts good in my car
minus for Dasaita:
price due taxes, paying taxes over 150 USD
in description they write, that it has only 15 languages, not Czech (not too important for me)
i found reseller with px5 in UK, he has universal head unit, which fitts in my car (7" display)
http://xtrons.co.uk/tb706apl-7-hd-d...ereo-with-screen-mirroring-function-obd2.html
plus for Xtrons:
price £260 (shipping £25) minus discount for new customer 15%
they should send it from UK >> no taxes
it should have 70 languages, Czech too
he has small fan
minus for Xtrons:
only reseller

Thanks, I read your post before, but one of the V600s you recommended is now $320 and the one with the knob (which I like more) does not even ship to Czech Republic. And to ship it to Poland for example would also be $320. I know you can ask the seller to mark the price as lower than it really is for customs reasons, but from what I heard the tax men aren't stupid and if they take a closer look they might recognize it's worth more - and I don't want to end up paying >$400 just because of bad luck.

That looks fine, even though it is a bit over my budget at ~$330. Have to think about if it's still worth it. Why is "only reseller" a con ?

there you can see resellers and manufacturers https://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Hui_Fei_Type#Manufacturers
I except faster updates by manufacturers >> less problems, after install alternative ROM, It should be balanced
Malaysk buyed head unit from Dasaita >> reason to think about HU from Dasaita
on internet you can find some negative coments to Xtrons, but negative coments are always

Ask directly to @hotaudio about the final price with shipping of the knob model to Czech Rep.
I am sure you will get a more convenient price.

P.S how is fair with a stylus?

Please provide more information, like
does it include the keyboard dock?
what is the memory size? 16g or 32g?
it's the 16 gb version without keyboard.
In a shop? Still boxed and untouched? A steal IMO!
unfortunatly the 16gb version are the ones being exposed (so not totally untouched) and hardly available, tomorrow i'll try to see the last shop because today is closed.
In the meantime i found the 32gb discounted to 399 euro and this is unboxed and untouched....is it a good deal the 32 gb?

Not a good buy at all, your best deal is with Amazon which is cheaper and with 32g storage capacity. Here's their prices:
Amazon prices tablet only (forex 1 euro = 1.32 dollars)
Brand new 32g 340 euro
.................16g 292 euro
Used like new 32g 258 euro you save 42 euro
.....................16g 218 euro you save 82 euro
Your best buy is the 32g used like new for 258 euros if you can order it from Amazon. The Transformer I bought was a 32g for 240 euros and it works perfectly upgrading to ICS. Good luck!

It costs 54 euros more than the current prices at Amazon, but since your max limt is 400 then it should be ok. Much, much better if you can order from Amazon though because you can return easily if something is not working or broken.
thanks tedr44, i checked amazon but unfortunatly the only one who ships to Italy it will cost 399 dolars so 305 euro without shipping (transformer 32gb used) and i'm keen to buy it. Is it safe to make such purchase in case the tablet is damaged during the shipment?sorry for my boobness but it's first time purchasing from amazon.COM.
EDIT: the price of the 32gb used with shipment is 365 euro and without taxes....so not convenient.
Get the one that is in the shop near you, if anything would be wrong with it after all you can return there. It´ll save you a headache

Amazon has a very good record when it comes to customer service, if you have their phone number you may want to call and inquire about their policy on returning damaged shipments. But in my experience, Amazon will always try to correct any problem you may have because they want you to come back to them for future business. Why don't you try so you have the experience to order online for the first time with Amazon?
Amazon's customer service is amazing. They also have the most lenient return policy I have ever seen.
If there is even a slight problem with your purchase, they will take care of it.
i know that amazon is a good service, i purchased lots of things from amazom.IT, but was concerned about buying used goods. however i realized that buying from USA is not a good deal after the shipment cost and taxes (in italy you have to pay 21% of the price), in fact the 32 gb used will be over 400 euro.
so i'll try the last shop which opens in 2 hours, otherwise i'll wait for new discounts or buy it for the normal price 338 euro....
quite indecisive because i don't know if it's better to wait later or not to buy a good tablet for less than 400, i've read about google tablet but i prefer a 10 inch one.
thanks you guy for your advice
300 bucks is a good deal if you can't come up with the extra 200 for the prime.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717
unfortunatly all the transformer 16gb were sold. now i'm indecided whether buying it at 340 euro or wait..what do you think is better?
I would wait, the price of the transformers is dropping fast. I was able to pick up a 16GB model over here in the states with KB dock for $250. This was probably an especially good deal, but I can't see the price going anywhere but down.
Does Europe have a Craigslist or similar online classified listings? That is where I would look.
for italy there is ebay, where i found the transformer 16 gb for 250 euro, hoping no one raise the price higher in the next 24 hour....if the price will be under 280 maybe i'll buy it even though is used.
sorry for the double post but wanted to bump the post for attention.....i founded an acer iconia tab a 500 for 299 euro with 32gb, what do you think?

I'd really recommend purchasing through a vendor who will handle issues for you, or offers their own warranty if you are going with ASUS.
My current RMA has resulted in:
Receiving another customers tablet.
Receiving back my tablet, without the charger they asked me to send in, and with the same issue it was sent in for.
Receiving a charger without the adapter to plug it into the socket.
This is still ongoing, and when you call support, they just say, we'll escalate, and someone will call you in 2 days if you ask to speak to a manager, or have an issue.
The device was great while it worked, but I'd personally look for a vendor who is good with returns and/or offers a 3rd party warranty.
i'm sorry for the problem your facing michiganenginerd and i heard the same thing for the transformer prime (was going to buy it a month ago). I'm quite settled to buy the used iconia a500 (32gb) for 299 (with valid warranty) because is perfect fo my purpose (reading and surfing thenet).
IS it ok?

2gb version:
Ordered mine from italy for 215,64 EUR (ejiayu.it / voucher: GIZJIAYUIT = 209 + 15 EUR dhl delivery to germany - voucher).
redcoon.es has it for 219 EUR in stock (only shipped to spain).
jiayu.es has it in stock (232 EUR incl. shipping costs, not found any working coupon...)
From China, it costs about 170 EUR+19%taxes+12 EUR money payment for the taxes (via dhl) ~ 214 EUR and shippement needs about 20-40 days... I would not risk any money just to save 20 EUR, and I've made my experience with paypal refund (it is not so easy).

To me, looks like the same scam!
1949Deal is a legit store but I wouldn't buy from them.
I think they are registered at aliexpress as Desoon Technology Co., Limited (not 100% sure) and they have a decent rating but not the best.
However, a number of people had issues with them when ordering phones from clearence sale. Good % of phones have been faulty and the seller didnt accept partial refund. Pay pal requested that buyer return the phone to get the full refund which buyers didnt do as the customs expenses plus returning shipping was more than 50% of the value of the phone.
My impression was that the seller knew that they are selling faulty phones in many cases.
I wouldnt buy from them.

that sure isn't much of a price drop considering i paid a similar price in november from chinavision
This is misleading info, xiaomi hasn't dropped their price on mix at all, official price is still exactly the same. What you seeing here is reseller dropping price, most likely because the hype is over and they are trying to sell their stock.
It has nothing to do with mix 2 and we won't be seeing mix 2 anytime soon also. They only just started working on it so give it until later this year before you start seeing actual info about it.
P. S. And ya, that price is pretty much what others was asking a long time ago
I was looking at this model since it came out and all the retailers who ships worldwide asked for over 1000$, maybe you are talking on 128GB? the 18K is the most expensive model.

I am well aware of the model difference, of course I am talking the more expensive model. When I bought mine back in December, the world wide shipping price was around 850 USD, many buyers here got theirs around that price.
Some sites are charging quite a bit more than the others, but price from official has always been the same. If you lucky enough to snap one from xiaomi, it's 3999 RMB, which is around 580 USD. I got mine just below 700 USD last year. 18k gold 6GB ram version that is.

you obviously haven't read the huge thread about where to buy then cause similar prices have been available from the very start of this phone going on sale
The maze seems like vapor hardware atm too, not sure what it really has to offer - new company going in on a new idea with no previous entries. That's a pretty big risk to take in this market. I got my mix 6gb 256GB for about 850 everything included, Chinese rom and sealed.

have fun with this device.
I have both samsung s10e and oneplus 7pro in my hands, but since this device is relatively much cheaper, i feel like i could just use it without extra care, and no phone case, feels much easier. Besides, this phone has great screen and sufficient processing power, fits my needs.
Just ordered my 128GB model for 288€ so 320 US$, and the 64GB model was around 260€ so 290 US$, you should be able to get it for way less than 400 US$.
If you want to order it from GearBest check online if you can find some good sales codes, for exemple check this page :
www[dot]fredzone.org/le-xiaomi-mi-9t-128-go-a-partir-de-272-e-et-vous-avez-en-plus-le-choix-de-la-couleur-855
It's in french but pretty self explanatory, the prices they list are not totally accurate because the discount decreases as more people use it (I think), but at the time I checked you could get a 128GB blue model for arround 300€ (334 US$).

yes you are right, thank you brother.
Looking to buy a unit for a 2010 Prius, with factory JBL amp.
Looks my options are a PX5 unit. Most of the units being offering on Aliexpress seem to be units mfg by Klyde. Some of the newer models seem to include an IPS screen. I have the option of purchasing a car play/android auto dongle or getting either (but not both)included in the unit itself. The cost of buying a unit with free shipping seems to be around $30 more then paying for shipping separately. Am I missing something? The only thing I can think of, if the unit has to be returned I doubt my original shipping costs will be refunded. I can purchase up to 4 Gig RAM 64 Gig ROM.
Other option seems to be a unit based on MTK 8227L. Looks like it's only available 2Gig RAM 16 Gig ROM.
My googling suggests the PX5 is the better choice.
Am I missing anything? Is it worth paying an extra few dollars for an IPS screen.
Is klye a decent mfg? Any suggestions on what reseller might make the most sense. Top 1 Multimedia store? Yifoum? AliKD multimedia store? Other resellers seem to have much lower customer ratings.
Thank you for any input. Googling and searching only gets me so far.
Hey there,
for which one did you end up deciding? Are you satisfied?
Cheers,
