Guys Motorola just released list of devices that will be officially supported for Android 7.0.Unfortunately Moto Turbo did not make into that list. Now i see no chances in future too Although Droid Turbo 2 made into that list
The Droid Turbo is still waiting on Marshmallow, let alone Nougat. Its international model, the Maxx, didn't even get MM until earlier this year. We'll probably be lucky if we get official MM at all.
Speaking of which, the Maxx isn't on the list either, which doesn't bode well. Probably going to have to wait and hope someone builds CM14 for our phone, if you want Nougat.
CM14 (Nougat) will come for Quark

You are referring to this updated Nougat device list from Motorola:
http://motorola-blog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/n-is-for-nougat-android-70-is-coming-to.html
There was an earlier list 3 months ago, with more devices to be added at a "later date". Yeah, no Quark phones made the updated list.
Of course, the Droid Turbo XT1254 made the Motorola "Marshmallow" list back on October 2, 2015 but Verizon deigned not release it to Droid Turbo owners (yet or maybe ever).

That someone is our CM dev @Skrilax_CZ, and he has already committed to that.
Quark got Lollipop before Motorola gave it to us (March 2014 vs April 2015), Marshmallow before Motorola gave it to us (February 2016 vs July 2016) and will get Nougat. He's just waiting until nightlies for any CM14 ROM starts rolling out.

Then, after Quark CM14 -- especially the kernel work -- other ROMs can build on that framework. We have 7 custom Marshmallow ROMs for the Quark (maybe 8 depending on how you count) -- they work on ALL Quarks, thanks to our CM dev. '
No reason we won't have just as many Nougat based ROMs.
Here's hoping that CM14 fixes the signal issues of CM13
I unlocked my bootloader (SU4TL-49) but now puzzled if I should wait for CM14 or install CM13 now...
I am new to installing a custom ROM and don't know if it is worth the time to install a soon-to-be outdated ROM.
Also, if the recommendation will be to still install now, which ROM to get. Just sick of Verizon and Motorola crap.
Thanks

Install now. CM13 (Marshmallow) was in "beta"/preview the first month. (And that "first month" for CM14 Quark ROM may not be until November.) Whereas CM12.1 (Lollipop) was rock solid. I didn't switch to a Marshmallow ROM for awhile, from CM12.1.
Go with the stable ROM (CM13) or other Marshmallow ROM for now. You can always change by end of the year.
You may even like Marshmallow Bliss or Resurrection Remix ROMs better than CM13. They seem to be the two most popular right now.
Edit: changed a word with a synonym so it would be understood without a negative connotation:
I'm typically a cyanogenmod fan and I used cm on this device since it was stable until a few weeks ago.
I'm currently rocking marshmallow Nexus experience rom, but before I go back to cm13 I'm going to try mokee.
Resurrection remix and bliss are filled with features. This is NOT a bad thing it is just features I hold little interest in and I keep finding myself just going back to cm.
Nexus experience doesn't screen cast right. Other than that it works great.
Cm13 doesn't pass Android pay or Pokemon go security checks. Rooting is NOT enough. So if you use either app my recommendation is Resurrection remix, Nexus experience or stock brazil marshmallow without volte
ALL Roms other than stock lollipop based Roms do NOT support volte (data during phone calls)
ChazzMatt and mrkhigh,
I can't thank you enough for quick and detailed responses!
Sounds great, I'll do some more reading on those roms and decide which one to get.
Thanks!

Bliss isn't "bloated", it has the smallest footprint of any ROM I've built or used. And it reboots in under 30 seconds, my Keurig isn't that fast. @bhb27 is constantly working on RR, and it's the most popular/downloaded ROM we have, no doubt about it.
VoLTE is something you have to sacrifice in order to use a custom ROM. bhb is trying to fix that too, but unfortunately, he lives in Brazil and is not a VZW customer.
I know that you know what you're talking about (been around long enough to see that), but to say Bliss is "bloated"...
My apologies. You took it wrong... I said it was bloated with features.... Meaning lots and lots of features.
They are features I don't use. So for me they are by definition 'bloat' but i did then say that's not a bad thing.
Probably a poor choice of words since it is often used negatively. Kinda like the word ignorant sounds bad but it would be completely correct to say "I'm ignorant in Pascal coding."
Bliss is an amazing rom. Just like cm rr and mokee.

Words are funny like that, yes? Everyone has their own opinion when it comes to a custom ROM (good thing we have many to choose from, lol), I just misinterpreted your meaning of "bloat", so: My apologies to you as well :highfive:

I've been considering leaving CM13 do I can use Android Pay and Pokemon Go(my son loves to play) which ROM do you recommend, Nexus experience or Brazilian stock? Which one is less hassle to get those apps working?

Neither. If you want those things, you'll need to install the latest official Motorola release for your Droid Turbo, and nothing else. The latest update to SafetyNet broke the workarounds that were used in CM-based ROMS (Brazilian stock never passed SafetyNet at all, even without root or xposed installed). I think suhide might still work, but only on a stock marshmallow ROM that passes SafetyNet, and we don't have that.
EDIT: Never mind. I might be wrong about all of that. Check out Resurrection Remix. The dev has added a companion app called iSu that works as of 3 days ago for hiding root (stock CM root, do not install SuperSU), and apparently it passes safetynet.
JFYKI, I haven't tried out Bliss yet but I noticed that ROM size is 330mb for Bliss while RR is 273mb. I am quite satisfied with latest version of RR on XT1254.
The size of the system partition, if I'm not mistaken and assuming you have not manually resized it, is about 3 GB. So I'm pretty sure neither Bliss nor RR is going to fill that up anytime soon. But if you can somehow fill up that partition with mods that need over 10 times the space of the base OS, you are my hero.
The system partition is 1.94gb and I haven't ever resized the partition. With stock based ROMs, I was struggling with space on system partition. You're correct that with almost everything installed that I need, there's still 500+mb available.

RR is your best bet. Use the iSU app and you can "keep" root
I'm currently using it due to that exact reason.
With nexus you'll have to simply "unroot" I left that ROM because face book kept locking up?!
And I would ASSUME the Brazil ROM would work out of the box since I do not believe it includes root.
Resurrection remix works just fine
Fwiw I think Brazil ROM no root would be a great choice as well. Nexus was buggy with Facebook for some reason but unrooted it passed safety net
Cm13 will NOT pass even unrooted. No idea why.
Brazilian does not play nice with Xposed...
Hiya XDA,
I currently have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900T).
The device is currently on a stock rooted firmware with Android 5.0 SDK 21.
While this is not the T-Mobile Q&A Device section ... this is a larger general Note 3 audience and most of the custom roms posted in this section seem to work for this device as well.
I've been searching for a new Rom as of recent and this will be the first time I've went to a custom rom.
However, there seems to be a good bit of selection as well as out-dated roms... which makes the choice some-what difficult to an inexperienced user that has not followed
rom development over the years.
I'm looking to upgrade to Android 6 MM and have been looking at both the Note 7, and "S8" Roms currently available. I don't really need any extra apps... a pretty close to stock experience is just fine.
Though in the end, Stability, Performance and Battery usage is really what matters.
So far here seems to be the selection I've come across as potential roms to use:
------------------------
[ROM][TW] [6.0.1] [FOUGAT ROM]《N7/S8 [v6] [23/05/17]》《C9/S8 [02/05/17]
-
[Rom][N7 Port][24.04.2017] [Multi-DPI] Phronesis Rom N7 v6.0 Feature Rich & Smooth
-
[ROM][NXTeam][6.0.1][N7 Port][19.May.2017] MagMa-NX UX8.5 (Amazing S8 Edition #1)
-
Older/Discontinued:
[ROM][TW][Aroma][AOD]AryaMod Note7 Port V2.1[EOL]
-
[Rom]Darklord N7 V1 or S7 E [PEK] port 6.0.1 (MM)[AROMA][DPI] [21th December,2016]
-
[PAUSED PROJECT][ROM][6.0.1][TW][DarkWolf_FW S7E+Note UX][V8.5.MM][25/06/2016]
------------------------
Besides these, there may be other ones that you've used that you prefer and I'd like to hear how users feel about those as well ...
Anyways just looking for opinions and a little bit of information to help myself, as well as maybe someone in my shoes make a decision.
And finally my question about SafetyNet... Is it still possible to pass Safetynet, using one of these Roms if I install Magisk or if I install Systemless Xposed along with Magisk?
Thanks.
Anything else ?
I currently have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900T
Then that's your starting point .
[Rom][N7 Port][24.04.2017] [Multi-DPI] Phronesis Rom N7 v6.0 Feature Rich & Smooth
READ SEARCH the thread see if that rom works well on your TMobile Note .

That ended up being the one I was leaning most towards and thanks for the reply....
Is it possible to pass safetynet using that rom?

Hope you haven't done that yet. I'm currently on that and am having a no data issue. I'm still researching it. I picked this one because it seemed to not have that issue.
Ive flashed 7 different roms to my smn900t the only one i have had 100% no issue with was the resurrection remix (rr-n-v5.8.2-20170309-hlte) thats the exact name of the zip folder. Everything has been working for me. Phronesis wouldnt allow calls in or out. Darklord s7port made my phone so hot i couod probly cook eggs on it.(feeling like i may have done something wrong flashing darklord) i LOVE phronesis and am so upset about the calling issue. Other than that the phronesis was PERFECT. Hope this helps. Happy flashing!
Hi, currently running Aspire ROM V5.0 on n9007. Working beautifully for me with some tinkering. Got Magisk going too.

Let the development begin :fingers-crossed:
Yeah....for Nougat, who cares? lol
I very much doubt many devs are going to be falling over themselves to build a Nougat rom when most of them are currently trying (with no help from OnePlus) to develop Oreo roms.
Also, why is it N? Wasn't the 5T supposed to launch with O? GSMArena seems to think so...
Yep but let's release a new device first before we can real get the development going?don't want to finish things do we ?
Android 8 without xposed is useless for me.
I'm glad that op5t comes with android 7.x.x
Hi Devs,
It's a humble request to all Experienced (Recognized) Developers/Young Developers/Members of XDA to PORT MIUI 9 ROM based on Android 8.0 Oreo for Mi5 by Xiaomi.eu to our beloved Z2 Plus device...
I know MIUI 9 by YouLinw exists for our device, but that PORT is purely based on Chinese build of MIUI 9 for Mi 5 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and is very limited to global users. No international user understands Chinese very well and they prefer the language in their preferred locale and Xiaomi.eu project enables the same and provides multi-language Official ROMs (PORT) by Xiaomi. Plus it is backed up by built-in Google Apps, so there's no need to perform any Gapps installations after flashing the ROM itself and is TWRP friendly ROM...
User/Dev Narshi Shukla has done exceptionally well in maintaining the MIUI 9 thread and providing help/support for that particular ROM PORT by YouLinw and changing/modifying many aspects of the PORTED ROM itself to make the ROM more usable to Global end users but still it lacks these three points, First is Android Oreo build and Second Gapps and Thirdly the addition of International languages/locale.
Considering the above benefits of having Globalized version of MIUI 9 for our Z2 Plus, that too on 8.0 Oreo build and with GApps included is something that many users are looking for...
I was trying to PORT this ROM my self but I'm facing technical problems with my PC hardware, as such my motherboard has got damaged and was sent for repairs to Service Centre and is with them since last few weeks and till now, no report on repairs done by them/working condition/service completion of hardware by the concerned SC... So I would request other Devs to Kindly step forward, if possible, please...
Your efforts are always appreciated and welcome guys...

Well, atleast let the ROM go stable for Mi5, as it is released just few days ago in beta. After proper release, porting maybe an option.

Hope to see more devs/users trying to port MIUI based on global Branch.

That's what I said but I think MIUI 10 will be properly compatible with Oreo as MIUI is always little late implementing all the features from AOSP like the amount of time taken them to apply notification reply.
There was currently the final update of the Rom Stock Android 10, security patch level as of October 6, 2019.
For a while now I feel that the phone drains the battery too much at times.
I was looking at Lineage OS v.16 as a viable option for my Google Pixel (Sailfish).
You who think of Lineage OS v.16 in this terminal, or if you know a better custom rom ... tell me your experiences.
I'll probably swtich off stock to Lineage OS 16 in 2020

Pixel Dust X (only on sourceforge, no xda post yet)
The most stabble 10 rom with a lot of features (more than evolutionx)
Upgrade to atleast Pixel 2. The pixel 1 chip is just downright horrible as daily phone especially those with daily usage of internet media consumption. It will stutter even scrolling or on the start page of a game like Mobile Legend. Even a snapdragon 625 is better

Anything different after going to Android 9?
Battery improved?
Im thinking to just replace the battery.
It dit not work to downgrade to Android 9. I didn't get Magisk to run. But LineageOS worked and that is Android 9. everything is working fine so far, need some time to check the battery but I know that Android 9 was much better for my battery before I upgraded to Android 10. And I think there are no features which are missing now. New is not always better.
If you want to use Lineage, OpenGapps did not work because of the system partition size, I had to use MindTheGapps. Flashing Magisk was no problem but I don't like the Recovery from Lineage, so I flashed twrp after install.
this one is good too.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel/development/rom-pixel-dust-sailfish-t3585007/page149
I just want to point out that the Pixel I got (new) would NOT stop freezing and stuttering no matter what stock/ custom rom I flashed, and the only sure-fire thing that fixed it was ROOTING and setting the GPU-Min-Frequency -on boot- to ONE step higher than standard [ 214Mhz instead of 133Mhz].
Hope that helps somebody.
I ended up with EX Kernel manager app that fixes my phone 5 seconds after reboot.

Same here, looking for the ROM that is suitable of the obsolete hardware.
Tried Evolution and Dust ROM, I like dust ROM more. However, since none of the custom ROM can be used with bank and payment apps, I switched back to the official ROM.
Android 9.0 update February 2019 seems to be the snappiest firmware I've used. After the update, I switched auto update off in the developer option (need to unlocked/relocked bootloader to downgrade).
Cheers.

Banking apps and GPay definitely work with custom ROMs as long as you're running a custom kernel.

Blissrom maybe?
Hey everybody,
I'm finally thinking of switching off the stock ROM
Since it's been ages since we've had Google support
But what I want in a ROM are the following:
1 Stable battery life
2 Good interface
3 still being updated
4 auto updates
5 fairly customizable
