S7 Edge slanted streak marks on screen randomly?? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Heh guys so the story is I went from an alpha glass tgsp to a gpel one. It was running good till in tried putting it into my caselogy wavelength case, despite being slim it cracked the protector. Suffice to say in running the screen with no protector. I have been noticing these streak marks only in direct light. They are slanted and go past the screen to the top bezzle. I can't seem to wipe it off, but fingerprints cover it up. it doesn't seem to be scratches as I can't feel anything and they are too thick so if I was a scratch it would atlest feel uneven. I didn't drop the phone screen first either and I had no contact with glass shards or sand so is this some adhesive or the coating of the screen ??

oleophobic coating rubbed off

So I was rubbed the screen with toothpaste to rid of some very light scratches, it worked but the oleophobic coating also rubbed off. I can tell because that are (top) gathers fingerprints very easily compared to the other areas of the screen. Any ideas on how to restore it, or should I just rub the rest of the screen with toothpaste.
WAT?
Do NOT use further chemicals on the screen...you might just have to live with the blemished screen (or replace it). The coating was there to protect, and you have taken it off.
IMHO, just deal.
lolwhat??? toothpaste on a Super AMOLED screen???? thats royally ****ed...you could've got a soft wipe cloth and wiped out the scratches...thats what i do...no chemicals, no toothpaste, no worry
I removed some scratches from my screen using a very very light automotive polish. Worked pretty good for knocking the edges off the screen but I noticed my finger would no longer glide very easily across the screen. It also showed alot of finger prints. I installed a real look screen protector and solved both of those problems. Might want to look into it.

[Q] How to get rid of bubble on tempered glass screen protector?

This is the first time that I've ever used a tempered glass screen protector and for the life of me I cannot get bubble out. Rest of screen is smooth but the only two bubbles. One on the edge of the button and another on the edge of the phone.
Any suggestion ?

Is the protector actually made of glass??? If so there is nothing you can do as two areas are lower that the protector and it is not flexible enough to be pulled down by force of the static adhesive.
I have seen the glass screen protectors often recently. I want one for my S4 and Note 3 after seeing that they do not exhibit the 'rainbow effect' issue which is HORRIBLE under typical office lighting.
With the standard type screen protectors (plastic/flexible), including the Moshi iVisor I have on my Note3, and super-crappy no-name brand I have on my iPhone 5s, I use a super-heavy-duty extra-large freezer bag and my industrial shop vac to suck out the air. Removed ALL air bubbles from both with this method.
Installed screen protector 'lightly' with no squeegee or pressing, I placed it in the bag. I made a hole in the bag (zip-lock is fully intact and sealed) to insert the vacuum hose (tight fitting), and let it run for about 2-3 minutes while 'smoothing out' the protector lightly through the bag.
End result: ZERO air bubbles on both devices.
If the adhesive is no longer sticking (based on the pics you posted), you may need to remove, lightly wash the adhesive portion with dish soap + water, then re-apply if it is even possible to remove the glass protector without breaking it.

This worked amazingly for me!
Slowly remove the case up untill the air bubbly is not scene then quickly as fast as you can close it back up and slide your through the screen upwards or downwards depending in which way you peeled it off from. All the air should go at once.
Could the case be putting pressure on the protector and causing it to lift?
You could try removing the case, lifting the protector a bit and then press it back down.

[Q] glass panel scratches easy?

I have owned my sharp aquos crystal for about five days. No case no screen protector. Only after five days did I notice scratches all around the glass panel. Is anyone else besides me experiencing this problem. Is there a safe way to remove the scratches (they are light but I can see them still)
it isn't glass, that is why. it is made of plastic
Seeing that the front panel is completely covered in "glass" that actually is raised it would've been very stupid of sharp to use real glass. Even gorilla glass 3 will shatter with a drop if it is on a phone in the manner that it is on the aquos

Technically 'Acrylic'. But yes this phone will scratch pretty easily and the type of material it is will leave a pretty visible mark if it's deep enough.

Good news is that it won't break as easily if dropped, but say good by to those nice corners.
I only have had tge phone for like four days and it has three really bad scratches and one of the scratches is long and straight down near the center of the screen. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE SCRATCHES FROM ACRYLIC. I tried toothpaste but it did Bad enough the light bleed is distracting, now i have to be annoyed by this as well. Please help.
Scratches
I have the 306SH for 2 weeks and no scratches yet.
5 days old and two scratches later. Observations
My Aquos is now 5 days old and I can see two very fine 1/2" scratches already. I fear for the worst on this device over time. I had a ZTE N9500 with Gorilla glass and it was tough as nails. It had a very good feel when touched and was good at not holding fingerprints. I also use a capacitive touch pen stylus on the phones for notes and there I can see a noticeable difference. The glass is just superior. The Aquos is pretty, but it's Acrylic screen hold fingerprints far worst than the glass. With regards to the stylus, it's almost unusable on the Aquos screen. It's doesn't slide smooth and kind of sticks to the screen as its being dragged creating breaks in the lines being drawn. Anyone using a capacitive stylus with the squishy rubber bulb top to avoid fat finger keyboarding maybe deeply disappointed with this screen.
You guys don't believe in screen protectors? All my phones have gorilla glass but I still have screen protectors on them. Scratches will always happen sooner or later on phones eventually.

Can these dust particles stuck under my tempered glass really scratch my screen?

Heeyoo!!
So I got the otterbox alpha glass screen protector for my s7 edge and I am really bothered by the dust under it. I didn't install it the person at the store did. So besides the dust the screen protector has been great, it fits cases fine and its sensitivity is pretty good and its clear.
So I noticed a dust spot near the edge, its black and looks like its on the protector itself and not the screen (it is near the more stories arrow in this picture): http://imgur.com/a/bP2TG
Is this just dust/lint or is it something else, it doesn't look like grit to me.
Also recently I saw this piece of dust and It does seem either it just flew in or was there beforehand I didn't notice (its near the flash): http://imgur.com/a/gfxN8
This looks like lint or something.
I don't want to take the protector off unless it breaks or if the adhesive stops working and it peels off, so should i be worried about screen damage if I keep it on? I am just extremely paranoid...

Anyone here use the phone naked or film protector?

Anyone here use the phone naked ( without the case ) or at lease with full body film protector? I am thinking to go case less because it adds weight and takes away the natural design/feel of the phone.
I use the phone with a slim case but to date I have not been able to find a screen protector that works. I am finding the tempered glass is far from perfect and leaves a very small pocket of space between it and the glass making me have to press harder in some areas to get the screen to respond. I hate to do it but I think I will have to use my S8 with no screen protector until someone can come up with a tempered glass protector that has glue all over instead of just around the edges.
I'm running an IQ Shield full skin. Fitment is spot on. It's got Front, back and all the sides covered.
Whitestone Dome Glass is a glass protector with adhesive all around. It's a complex process to apply, but if you get it right, it works. I have one here, but I haven't applied it. The glass is case friendly and covers slightly less that a full screen. I may use it at some point, though.
I generally always use phones naked out of appreciation for the design.
Too bad there's still no tempered glass protectors for curved screens so it's kinda risky..
Currently using naked and I find my finger gets sore from holding at bottom of phone by using one handed from the usb port so will be putting my case on soon for comfort.
