Sure. This is exactly what the factory Google images are for. Wipe phone. Install image of your choice. Reinstall apps. Instructions on how to do this are on the Google image web page.

[Q] 4.4.4 to 5.1

I'm running 4.4.4 but want to go to 5.1. I did run 5.0.1 for a while but factory reset back to 4.4.4. I seem to remember that OTA updated fine from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 even with custom recovery and root. However my phone is only showing the OTA for 5.0.1, do I need to upgrade to this I order for 5.1 OTA to show.
Why not go straight for CM 12.1 (5.1) ? It runs veeeeeery nice. Better than stock 5.1 update (IMO)
What's the advantage of using cm these days, my last experience of it was on my old zte blade. I thought stock was now on par with cyanogen. Will their installer allow from rooted 4.4.4 to 5.1 while keeping my user data?

Here's How I Upgraded from Kitkat4.4 to Lollipop5.1 with working GravityBox (xposed)

When I first upgraded from 4.4 to 5.1 I couldn't find any guide on how to upgrade my phone(without bricking it ) but I tried and it worked and it's very simple.
I'm using moto e xt1022 Indian version.
Previously I had:
-Official Kitkat 4.4 version with root
-TWRP 2.7.2.0 recovery
How I upgraded (and can you) to Official Lollipop 5.1 Rom:
1. I updated the recovery to [RECOVERY][Condor] TWRP 2.8.7 touch recovery [2015-05-05] . I used Flashify app to install recovery.
2. choose a flavour of lollipop roms from this post [ROM][5.1][STOCK][FLASHABLE ZIP] Stock Motorola Lollipop ROM Collection by lost101. I personally liked the Untouched version (459mb) because Xposed framework runs smoothly on this Rom so, I debloated it( to 280 MB) and flashed it.
2.1 this Rom is NOT ROOTED but when you successfully flash this ROM via TWRP 2.8.7, at the end of flashing TWRP will ask to root this ROM SELECT YES, that's how I rooted it.
3 phone booting will take some time.
4. After bootup, update your SU app to the latest version to avoid any problem.
optional: I also updated my Radio to Lollipop Radio Firmware from the same Lollipop ROM Collection thread. (but this Radio is entirely optional) I just wanted to test it and it's working fine so far..
XposedFramework Part
5. flash xposed-v7*-sdk22-arm-by-romracer-20150816.zip from twrp recovery [UNOFFICIAL] Xposed for Android 5.1
6. booting up will take some time.
7. open Xposed installer app in phone; download the GravityBox App from Download menu; install it then tick the app in Module option and restart. GravityBox will work flawlessly
I've also tried several other modules and they are working properly.
Hope this little guide will help new seekers
Cheers
Can you tell me lollipop radio version & any issues, thanks.
This was development section meant to be posting ROMs kernels, mods etc, Help guides are basically posted on general section.

Viper or Xposed?

Hey all, first of all thank you everyone who has worked on this device it is super appreciated. I hope Im posting this question in the right spot but I was wondering if anyone has a LG K20 plus/T-Mobile and has sucessfully installed Viper or Xposed Framework? Its been a few years since I owned an LG or installed these on a device of mine so if anyone has could you briefly run the steps by me mainly for Viper (I did go to the Viper forum on here but still had no luck installing on Nougat) not Xposed. Thanks again everyone for your time!!!
I'm running aicp rom and installed xposed and v4a with no problem. Think the trick was that I had to install busybox in system/xbin. Pretty sure it worked on stock as well.
Anyway Gluck.
Edit: I should mention I have the metro variant (mp260). But it doesn't seem to matter.
awesome ill do that thanks!

With the 32 bit ROM, v89 arm SDK 25.
If you install xposed 3.1.5 apk in this post, go to the framework option and choose install through recovery, it wil install the correct framework for you.

After reboot it's all good
Thanks! Viper is running ,and it's been awhile, has a whole new look and is great on this device! I appreciate the Xposed help, tried once to no avail, so im grateful for the direction I need to go! Great forum! Thanks all!
I can get viper no problem, but Xposed I only can install framework, but first reboot after ANY module and bootloop.magisk modules work though
First post ever anywhere.
I am looking to install xposed on stock rom 7.0
Things i have tried:
Fresh install through twrp v89 sdk 24 (and all other official versions i could find)
Fresh install purify os xposed through twrp
Froze all lg related apps and tried both of the above again
Each time after reboot k20 freezes at metro screen. (Waited over an hour)
I reinstalled stock firmware through lg up before trying each of the above.
Cache and dalvik cache cleared each time
Lg k20 plus
Android 7.0
Security patch feb 1 2018
Kernal version 3.18.31
Build # nrd90u
Software version mp26010x
Any help is greatly appreciated
Same problem with rooted stock mp260. Something LG did to Android is obviously at fault here since it works for other devices just fine. If I had the time I'd try my hand at hunting the problem down, but I can't.

You need your current Oreo compatible recovery to update to pie or the one from siankatabg's from here including update instructions https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/official-oxygenos-4-5-2-7-1-1-ota-t3627003
You also have to uninstall xposed. It's highly recommended to not run into issues.
So take a nandroid backup just in case you want to revert and for downgrade it's also necessary to make sure that your twrp is Oreo compatible. Actual pie recoveries need pie firmware.
Wiping os to downgrade isn't necessary, but it needs to be without xposed or other modifications.
For exposed for Pie have a look at here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/xposed-android-pie-modules-test-t3894500
