Is there any simple way to root S7E with out wiping data? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello, i'm using a Korea SKT S7 Edge (G935S), I want to root it just to:
- Install V4A (some people say it will enhance audio experience a lot - is this true?)
- Turn off Camera sound.
So is there any simple and safe way to root this phone without without wiping my data ? :crying:

As far as I know, no. There is no way of rooting without wiping data.
As for V4A, yes, it does make a big difference (for me at least) when I switch from a headset to car audio via auxiliary cable. Sound output is much better, as well as the bass (which my car kinda lacks).

for Android M = YES
for Android N = NO

[Q] Music equalizers

Hello everyone,
I just recently made the jump from a S2 to the S4 and I must say this phone surpasses all my expectations so far. The only thing that I find I need to get working better is the audio for music. Playing music in the google music app seems kinda flat. My old phone phone was rooted and I had beats audio on it, but with my new phone I don't really need to root it till we get LTE in my area for wifi tethering. That's really all i need to root for. Can anyone recommend a way to increase my audio experience? I have tried a couple of equalizers off the play store but they only seem to work for a short time before they stop and I have to reboot or reload the app.
Thanks for any advice or help anyone can give.
Brian
EDIT: I mainly use a LG BT headset with my phone so that would need to be supported ( which has been part of my issue ) .
Any one help out ?

P10 Plus: BIG problems with bluetooth and correct sync

I've used 3 different phones with my FM radio bluetooth receiver - a device I am forced to use, as my cars bluetooth is too old - it connects for phone calls, but wont connect to my phone to play audio files, hence why i use this device.
LG v20 - no problems. P10 Plus? Different story.
Mid-song over the bluetooth device, it suddenly de-syncs itself and the audio starts playing over the phones loud speaker. Completely unprompted. So I disconnect the bluetooth device inb my car, turn it back on....then it suddenly reconnects with the phone and continues playing the audio without interruption inside my car. This happens several times over a 30-45 minute period.
Bluetooth should just be bluetooth, right!? Can this be a quality control problem? An issue to do with unlocking the device or installing something like TWRP? This combined with the aweful features/stock apps of EMUI 5.1 is really destroying the experience for me. Anyone else had same or similar issues?

I dont have this problem. Bluetooth is very strong and very stable. Try updating your phone firmware it might help
EMUI is very decent. If you dont like the layouts given, you are on android. So easy to slap on a different launcher.

I'd argue that EMUI is one of the main things that stand in the way for more people to switch over to Huawei. That, and quality control. I possibly have a dodgy phone, its just this device I am using has not had problems with 2 other smartphones.
I will update the firmware to 151 (latest in my region) as soon as I know how to do it safely (boot unlock, TWRP and root installed - dont want to lose any)

Similar Bluetooth problem with Huawei p10
I have similar problem with Huawei 10. Bluetooth connection doesn't work with my built in Media system. All other phone devices connect and work fine, but Huawei p10 doesn't work. I just posted my issue here on YouTube. You can find it by searching 'Huawei p10 Bluetooth problem'.
having same issue as yours. music wont play through bluetooth. :/
temp solution is delete cache in bluetooth share in APP and restart your device. but that only works for one time. if you want to connect another time, must do the same steps. I am sure it is a software bug
try powering the device off then hold volume up and power the phone on at the same time and keep holding volume up until you see a EMIUI recovery mode from there select Delete Cache data and when thats done click on Restart/Reboot the device then see if problem remains. I had todo this steps few times when google play store would hang on "Downloading..." status now and then, But when I got B170 firmware for my p10 plus it sorta fixed it and now installs properly.
P.S my issue is different but you never know, this might even fix the bluetooth issue. So it's worth a try.
Can someone please tell me how to connect to paired devices on my P2?
As stated, pairing works fine, but how do you actually make a paired device connect? I can't find any option in the EMUI!?

Can I keep my BT pairings when I install a new rom

Hi everyone I have a Level U headphone and a S7 edge. The problem is Level U's pairing button is broken and I can only use it with my S7 edge. My question is, I want to install a 9.0 pie rom but I want to keep using my headphones so is there any way to keep the pairing between my phone and headphones thanks.

Although you may be able to restore the bluetooth pairings on your s7 , your headphones may not connect directly unless pairing mode is activated on it .
Samsung cloud backs up the bluetooth pairings . So, switching samsung roms should be fine subject to above.
This is also a link I found, Haven't tested it . You can give it a try with some other bluetooth device with working pair probably to test.

Samsung S8 with Huawei Freebuds 3

Hey guys,
I am a proud owner of an S8 SM- 950F for about 2 years now and this is the most resistant phone I've owned so far.
Recently I purchased the new Huawei Freebuds 3 and started using them with my S8.
What I noticed is that the sounds coming out of my Freebuds 3 is not that great in terms of volume. The interesting part is if I connect the freebuds to any flagship from 2018 onwards including iPhones the Huawei Freebuds have a great sounds in terms of volume and quality of the sounds.
My question to you guys is: is there anything that I can do to improve the sounds of the Huawei Freebuds 3 when they are connected to my S8.
Do I need to install anything ?
PS: my S8 is still stock, Knox hasnt been tripped because I did not root it so far
There's Samsung's SoundAlive, have you tried usig it?
Have you enabled combine channels (Stereo) when playing audio in Accessibility Settings?
Tried playing with Bluetooth audio stuff on Developer Options?
You can install a music player that comes with built-in sound equalizer, like WinAmp, etc ...
Want better than that? Use Viper4Android (root).

Official system update to Android 10 removes stereo audio when recording video

Official update came in yesterday, build No. A5000_23_200601, worked without problem from previous version. Phone rooted with Magisk, so the usual procedure of flashing a twrp recovery and Magisk.
I've just recorded myself playing the piano and what used to be a real strength of the OP5 is gone. Video is fine, but the audio is mono, not stereo. To me, that's a disaster. This is both with the OP5 camera as well as Open Camera. There has to be a way to restore the previous functionality of using the two internal microphones.
While I've found a way to use external stereo microphones via OTG and a separate audio interface, I really want stereo recording vor quick video of a practice session.
This is what today's audio sounds like:

And this is what the same phone with the previous OOS version sounded like:

How can I go back to a previous version or get stereo audio back?

Wasn't helpful anyway, because different regions in the world get different update versions at different times.
Never mind.
