has anyone tried using a AT&T 935A on Verizon ? I have seen posts from users flashing V onto A but not the other way. Is the hardware identical?
AT&T gave me my unlock code but it does not register with the Verizon network so I was about to flash the V or U version.......
Any ideas before I start flashing this one?
I'm trying to do the same thing.. hope someone knows

Wasn't sure where to post this as there wasn't an option for Cricket S4. I am however trying to switch this to Bell so i thought this may be best.
Hello folks, I recently purchased a Samsung S4 from Cricket Wireless. I need to unlock this unit to work on Bell Canada which runs CDMA and GSM technologies. After alot of discussion with Cricket they did end up giving me a 8 digit unlock code. The problem is it runs on CDMA and when I take the Cricket sim out to install the Bell sim it doesn't give me the option to enter an unlock code. I did the dialer option and that didn't work either. All the phone says is invalid sim.Thank you all in advance.
Any luck unlocking S4
HI, I know its been a while since you posted this thread but I just came across it. I am trying to get a Cricket S4 onto the bell network and need to unlock it. Did you ever have any luck unlocking yours? I would greatly appreciate it if you have any advice for me. Thank you very much.
I have a galaxy S 4 for Cricket model SCH-R970C. I need to unlock the phone to able to use the SIM slot outside the U.S. I've been able to root the phone and I tried flashing a i9505 ROM thinking that would unlock the use of the SIM with no luck. The baseband modem firmware does not change when I flash a different ROM. There is little to no info out there about the cricket GS4. Is it possible to flash different modem firmware so that the phone can behave as an i9505 model? The hardware is the same... just can't change the modem firmware.
I need this ASAP otherwise I need to find a new phone! I'm not in the US now and calling Cricket is not an option. I tried flashing a different modem firmware using ODIN but it fails. What am I missing?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm willing to "donate" $$ for a solution. Thanks.

Hi,
You should not flash a modem that is not meant for your phone.
You are risking a brick if you try it.
Your best bet may be to just buy an unlock code online.
Sent telepathically from my S4

No, i gave up on the phone. I don't think it's that easy to change the baseband firmware on the phone. I didn't try buying an unlock code, but that might be the only solution for now - just make sure the unlock code is specifically for the cricket model.
Has any managed unlock it? I need older modems in order to complete. The unlocking please provide me with them if you have.
Hi guys, really hoping you can help me out here.
I have a n900v and i have a tmobile sim in it (metroPCS, but same thing now). I've seen several threads here saying guys put in their metro or tmobile sim and voice/text worked right off the bat. The same is not true for me. I have put in my sim and tried several different tmobile APN settings (ones specifically for the Note 3 on tmobile, and then the one my S3 currently uses) and nothing works. I looked for a tmobile note 3 radio to flash thinking that would work but i dont even see a radios thread in the n900t forums. I even flashed the hyperdrive rom hoping that would open me up.
Can anyone tell me how to get this phone on the tmobile network?

pretty sure u would have to get metro to first add the IMEI to their database before the sim could work

I just called and gave them the IMEI to add to the DB, they said it wasnt listed in their inventory and may need to be unlocked. But i dont get a sim unlock prompt on the phone and every post says these come unlocked.. I have a feeling it's the radio that i need. Does anyone have a recovery or odin flashable tmobile modem?
Tmobile rom didnt fix either
Just safestrapped a stock tmobile rom and it didnt help. Guess it didnt include the modem. I need to find some firmware to extract it from.

There are some threads in dev i believe that are flashable modems
The cricket model has the same model number, just different serials towards the end. Has anyone tried it?
I'm wondering the same thing. Cricket is SM-930AZ while ATT is SM-930A
Wouldn't mind getting rid of the cricket splash screen and wireless manager.

Considering people have been able to flash international and other carrier firmwares, it's possible as long as the bootloader versions are compatible. Worst case scenario, it doesn't boot, and you'll need the firmware for your device to fix it.

You need to contact verizon support and make them to explain what is the problem exactly, ask for supervisor if needed. "There is an error" is not an acceptable answer.
Probably they need to whitelist your IMEI somewhere b/c it's not from verizon or unlocked phone originally - I'm just guessing here.

Verizon uses CDMA, Sprint uses CDMA but both of them are on different CDMA network, uses different hardware for it so in your case it wont help.
