Navbar Apps in the Play Store

thanks that seems to work , however seems to slow it down just a tad

Man this drives me crazy.

Not tried it but I read somewhere that the colours can be set for different apps, depending what app your in when setting the colour.
I have mine set to full emersion so the bottom navigation buttons and top status bar are hidden. Looks neater and gives more screen to apps.

For hiding keys you can use Auto hide nav keys, that is in Themes and app section..
I am not exactly getting your question,1st one.?
You can use slimbean rom that a feature where you can make all the settings and apps dark. try it. :good:
Press thanks if I helped you.
Like the last poster said you can use a ROM with the pie feature this way you can permanently remove the navigation bar and when you swore from a region (you can set it to wherever you want) a crescent comes out with your buttons. I prefer using AOKP since with pie you can accidentally open that panel while playing some more intense games.
On AOKP you can remove the navigation bar in the power window and use home, menu, and back buttons from there as well.
thanks

Immersive mode?

Hey guys, so I've followed a guide to get immersive mode all the time, just wanna say first of all that is awesome and that I regret not taking a look at it sooner, finally the 6.2" are actually 6.2 (I just thought it would have worked like ****); I was wondering if it's possible to extend immersive mode to when the keyboard is open, it works perfectly everywhere BUT when the keyboard is open.
Thank you!
I don't even know what immersive mode is? haha Where is the setting for that and what does it do?

That would be the ability to hide the status bar as well as the navbar so that you can get the full size of the screen with nothing wasted. What I really liked is that you can choose either navbar or status bar or both although I ended up choosing both but still it's good to have the choice

You can see it by swiping up from the bottom and you can see the status bar by swiping down from the top. This is the guide I followed

Not quite the same thing, but if you want more screen real estate and don't want to full-on hide the status and / or nav bars, you can come close to "immersive" (and increase viewing area) by tweaking dpi in Developer Options, changing font / zoom in Display, and working with keyboard sizing--some discussion here https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/view-content-screen-t3594320 .
I tried the adb - immersive, and it works fine. Issue I had was that a couple of apps that I regularly use have their own app-specific nav bars at the bottom of their window, and swiping up to get the system nav bar with my fat fingers invariably interacted with the app's nav bar. Now, I use the higher dpi setting which yields a nicely larger viewing screen with much smaller status and nav bars.

I have (fortunately) none of these apps since I'm really loving this immersive mode, the dpi trick can work indeed, I had 560 ish set as min width, I still kept that even though I'm in immersive mode now but I'm really glad everything is working properly

How to remove blur / weird status bar effect

I noticed that there is this something like a blur / weird effect near status bar like example on this lg g6 specific wallpaper on galaxybs8. Also, when using a plain black wallpaper on the top part of the screen, it's not pure black but some white/light in it. How to remove this?

Mate. Screenshots are software renders, they do not show display issues.
The "weird google icon" is a feature of the google launcher.
@OP, this is a known Samsung system ui thing, they apply a blur effect and it looks odd if you're using certain backgrounds and launchers.
I did not find a way to disable it in the native settings, perhaps a 3rd party app can help.

I have the same problem you have
I guess that's your launcher doing that effect. What launcher are you using?
I am using Pixel Launcher. It's not everywhere. Only noticeable on some specific wallpapers in homescreen.
So is there a solution to this matter?
The blur/gradient/tint/almost transparent shade ( call it whatever you want ) appears in home screen. If you see the wallpaper in gallery in full screen it appears fine . So there is nothing wrong with the screen. This effect exists with every launcher ( stock, nova etc). It has nothing to do with the launcher. And yes Nova status bar setting has been set to transparent. And yes shading has been set to off. It's clearly a setting from Samsung. So has anyone figure out how to disable this setting ?
Here is what we are talking about :
Finally a crazy solution!
For all of you who hate the gradient that Samsung puts on the status bar here is a "crazy" solution :
Samsung doesn't apply this effect when a live wallpaper is used! So you must :
1) Download the multipicture live wallpaper from playstore ( don't worry, it doesn't consume battery )
2) In the settings of the app do the following :
a. Select a single picture ( the one that you want to set as wallpaper ) , not an album of course.
b. Uncheck "show reflection" ( top and bottom )
c. Uncheck "double tap to change picture"
That's it! The ugly gradient is gone! Tested with Nova launcher but i am almost sure that it will work with any launcher.

After Oreo update the problem is fixed so there is no need any more to use any live wallpaper for this matter.

Nav buttons vanish when using Samsung browser.

I've scoured the settings to make the nav buttons on the v20 to remain on-screen all the time, but nothing. Is this possible?
Or is this an issue with Oreo and browsers?
It could be that you have the navigation buttons set to "hide" and they don't play well with the Samsung browser. If the small square dot on the far left side of the navigation bar is a outline only (not filled in) then you are in auto hide mode. Just tap the dot once to change it to always be visible. I'm not saying that this is your problem just offering to you as a possibility to try out.
Also: If they are hidden to start with then the way you unhide them is drag your finger up diagonally from the far bottom left, the navigation bar should now be visible.

Thanks for that drag tip, that's very handy, and my nav bar does have the outline only square dot, but tapping it brings up all the current open apps.
I think that you misunderstood, the auto hide is the one that the red arrow is pointing to. Solid box is visible all the time, outline is auto hide. Tap once to change the state.

Thank you for the pic, I don't have that dot though. Is the layout different between models of the v20 as mine is the H918, or does using a different launcher (Nova) make a difference?

A couple questions

So far I've been very happy with the S10+, but have a very annoyances I can't figure out.
1. I have the gallery app disabled, as I prefer Google photos. In the camera app, if I select the most recent picture, it says "no apps can perform this action". Anyone know how to get this to map to photos?
2. I like my theme to always be dark, so I have night mode enabled and customized to my liking, but I can't get good control over the navbar. In a lot of dark/black apps, I end up with a white navbar. I've tried numerous apps to make the navbar black all the time, but then the button icons aren't visible in the apps where One UI wants a white navbar because it makes the icons black. Anyone have a solution?
Any input would be appreciated.
1: go to default apps and clear defaults for the gallery, set Google photos as default gallery app
2: download good lock to change the quickpanel, a short guide to make the quickpanel black is in my battery guide.
Maybe to set it black try the "Navbar Apps" from appstore

1: I cleared gallery defaults, and opened a pictured from a file explorer to set photos as default, but still within the built in Samsung app, it won't open in photos.
2. I already made my quickpanel black, it's the navbar I'm trying to recolor while keeping the menu, home, and back buttons white.

This is one of the apps I've been trying and it works well except that the menu, home, and back buttons turn black in some apps, and thus are black on black.
Thanks for the help both of you
