what can I download stock firmware to flash in Odin? - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I was given a galaxy s5 from a friend witch is stuck in a bootloop and I'm trying to fix it for them, but the only place I can find firmware to download are on sites where they download load at 75kbs/s and estimated time says it would take 6 hours to download where could I download where they download faster?

bootloop, cant find the right files

hey guys
i got into a bootloop with the samsung text (not the logo startup) and i cant get into the recovery
i can go in download mode and i know i have to use odin, but i cant find the right firmware files (pda, phone, csc) and have been searching for 2 hours now
i want to go to stock gingerbread, any help?
Visit the sammobile Homepage www.sammobile.com,
register there and just download the version you need for your device.
(yes, the handling of the site is very poorly...)
Or take a look here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846913
Download the JVU version, because it has all 3 files (pda, modem, csc) and you have to use a 3 file ROM, a pit file and re-partition in order make full recovery in ODIN

[Q] Us Cellular Note 4 stuck in download mode

I tried to flash a custom recovery tonight onto my note 4 using the app rashr from the play store. It flashed the .img file that i downloaded tonight. after the device rebooted, it was stuck in download mode. it says "Could not do normal boot" and "ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)". it will not download into recovery no matter what i do. literally every time i turn it on, it just goes straight into download mode and says the same thing. i looked around and people were suggesting to reflash the stock firmware for my phone using odin. I was going to try this in the morning because my internet has been too slow to download the firmware i needed. i just wanted to know if i was taking the right approach to this. any other help would be much appreciated.
U have ro download the firmware no optiom
Sent from my SM-N910P using XDA Premium HD app
Just find a recovery tar for your phone and flash that thru odin

i9505 still stuck at 4.2.2! Says "latest update installed". Help!

Hi guys,
I got this phone about 2 years back from a store in the middle east and it turned out later that this device was actually from a swiss carrier - Swisscom. It was unlocked so it didn't really matter at the time. Ever since then it hasn't updated to any of the latest android versions. It always says "latest updates installed", even with Kies. It wasn't really an issue before, but now a lot of apps just crash constantly. Anyone knows how to fix this?
If the phone is not in its home region it won't get updates. Download one of the unbranded ROMs from sammobile.com and flash it via Odin.
Look for the latest rom on sammobile.com and flash via Odin.

What if I want to install CM? Should I follow the same steps and just change the file chosen to CM? Or there's something else to be done too? These were the instructions:
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.11.1
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v3.11.1
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA - right here? I'll chose CM firmware. Will that do?

No. Flashing a custom ROM (CM) is a completely different procedure. There are guides online.
For cm, you should flash twrp via Odin. After flashing Odin, you can save the cm rom to the phone's internal or external memory, boot into twrp, and flash cm and gapps from twrp.
Personally, with all the bugs Cyanogenmod has in it, I'd rather flash AOSP on the S4. But that has nothing to do with your actual question, which @audit13 answered succinctly in the previous post.
Alright, thank you guys! I've decided to go with the official firmware, as given on sammobile. Just one last question. On sammobile there are various versions for my phone. Should I be downloading the "Swisscomm" variant again? I'm in the US now and I don't want to be stuck without an update. Can I install the US version? Or even an open international version, so that I don't get stuck again.

If you are not carrier locked, then yes.

Can not upgrade or install roms

I have Maximum OvrDrive 7.1 installed on my Note4 I've downloaded 6.0.1 firmware from sammobile, tried to flash via Odin, install different roms all with fails. Last night I noticed while trying to flash in Odin the screen on my phone says it's the model 910t3. In the settings it says 910t. I have not tried downloading the t3 versions from sammobile and was wondering if this is the problem. I'm at work now and can not test this theory and was hoping one of you could help so I can upgrade when I get home. Thanks in advance

Whatever it says in download mode is the correct model of your phone. Go by download mode not settings

Galaxy S3 Neo GT-19300i

My S3 Neo(GT-19300i) interrupted while updating and then it shows connect through kies recovery with yellow exclamation mark.
Then I searched web and find out it can be solved by firmware update via Odin.
I downloaded indian firmware and updated then phone is completely dead.
These are the firmwares i tried :-
1. I9300IDDUBQE2_I9300IODDBPF1_I9300IXXUBOJ1_HOME.tar.md5
2. AP_I9300IDDUBQE2_CL11438539_QB13612042_REV04_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
BL_I9300IDDUBQE2_CL11438539_QB13612042_REV04_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
CP_I9300IXXUBOJ1_REV00_CL_2015890.tar.md5
CSC_ODD_I9300IODDBPF1_CL8507635_QB10148873_REV04_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
3. AP_I9300IDDUBOI1_CL5896057_QB6452774_REV04_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
BL_I9300IDDUBOI1_CL5896057_QB6452774_REV04_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
CP_I9300IXXUBOI1_REV00_CL_1909238.tar.md5
CSC_ODD_I9300IODDBOI1_CL5896057_QB6452776_REV04_eng_mid_noship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
i dont have links for these firmwares so i copy pasted the file names for understanding. All these 3 indian firmware flashing suceeded via Odin but phone is dead.
Again I searched XDA and find out it's problem with indian firmware and it can be solved by debrick image in sd card to get download mode (and it's working I checked).
Link for debrick-https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-neo/general/how-to-unbrick-t2911301
Now the problem is I don't know which firmware was in my phone before and which firmware should I download to make it work. Should I download any other region firmware and use . Anybody help me to find correct firmware for my phone.
