Hi guys,
Recently I cleared data on Updater appliaction and I have no idea if the reason is exactly this or not, but I have no received OTA update for Nougat. My model is VNS-L21C432B161 and live in Macedonia.
I would appreciate if some expert point me out if this is the reason why I don't get the OTA or clearing data on Updater is not serious problem?
Aslo, I would like to ask someone with root on his P9 Lite to extract updater.apk, version should be 17.4.17 and upload, so I can reinstal. On Google can't be found.
Thanks to all of you. You doing great job helping ppl.
Just wait, some people got nougat OTA months ago,and some people still havent got the update. You can update using ff or dload method.

Yes, I know. I came from Macedonia and still have no OTA. But I did 'Clear data' on the Updater and am afraid it has something with it. Did I screw myself clearing data?

Thanks for the fast answer, i didn't root it or something like this, i just downloaded the rom,put the dload folder in SD card and instaled from project menu using this code *#*#2846578#*#* After this everything was fine, after the install i got an OTA update, aroung 130 mb. Installed and that one and no problem. The reason i told you everything what i've done it's because i'm not sure if the bootloader is still locked. But i hope it is. I'm new with this phone so i don;t know to much about it and how it;s working

"Mid-End" of February still counting, we hope and waiting also.
some people already got the ota on their l31, and some dutch websites report that the update is rolling out, but i haven't got the update either, i'm on b160 right now, back from b336. i know the rollout is in progress, but i'm not really sure if i'm able to get the ota after unlocking, installing the beta of nougat, and then downgrading to b160 again. after downgrading the bootloader is locked again, so i should get it right? could someone confirm this?

i think b150 is for L21, and b160 for L31
But what is the build that people are receiving? Is it B336 or another one?
I'm on C432B160 on my VNS-L21 and there's no OTA yet... It is stock, everything untouched... They said Q1 so March is the final month

I'm in the UK with a L31 with B131 update but still no nougat or even a beta unfortunately I've even tried hisuite but no luck as it says I'm up to date
Official beta program runs until 28th. Apparently only 7 people registered lol. See attachment below.
Hi all,
I manually updated my own phone to B560, but yesterday my wife got the prompt from AT&T. She was on B190. For those worried about manually doing it, you should hopefully see something soon.
Edit: Sorry, mine was manually updated to B560. My wife got a prompt on her phone with AT&T.

B560 or B580?
Can you make some screenshots to the B580?
Nothing here yet...
One thing I did, that appears to have fixed a minor issue I had with BT dropping
was to clear the dalvik cache.

Thanks to fix it because it can be dangerous for people who would try. We have no feedback from the B580, and we may wonder about the veracity of this update. I myself am very undecided on this one. I would like to test it but I have a big doubt about the result. With your answer, I had hesitated to test it via TWRP. If it's a fake, we could brick our phone.

Any idea why I've not had any updates on my Sim Free UK P10 Plus? I'm still running VKY-L09C432B120. Have updates been released in the UK for this phone? Also, not sure if it's related, in About Phone>Certification: it says Serbia.
I had the same problem on my VKY-L29C636 and I had to manually update using this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder
Sometimes, you can get updates in their HiCare app, when you can't get them from the update in phone settings.

Thanks both, I'll try HiSuite when I get chance. Will installing an update via the firmware finder app invalidate warranty? Also, do I need to be rooted for it to work?

No it doesn't invalidate the warranty because those updates are the official ones. And because of that, it does not need to be rooted to work. I went 12 rounds with that app and finally figured it out so if you need any help with it, I would be happy to help you save some time.
I have the same issue on mine. Assuming it is an issue of course. Odd that March is last update though...

Use HWOTA or FunkyHuawei to get updates. Even Firmware Finder will allow you get C432B162.
Thanks all for the advice, I used Firmware Finder and now have my P10 Plus running B162.
One upside of the upgrade is that I can now use the full 220mbps available from my Virgin Hub instead of the 30mbps I was limited to before.
Seems I've run into a little trouble updating to the latest firmware version on Firmware Finder. B175 is available but when I try to install it shows as unauthorised. I've tried this with both the proxy enabled throughout the upgrade and disabled after the initial setup. Any ideas?

This happens a lot with Firmware Finder, it's not always possible to install f/w even though it's available. In this instance your two options are HWOTA method (search these forums) or Funky Huawei's pay service.
The only improvement in B175 is Android Security Patch dated 5th October.

Thanks scook94, I'll give this one a miss and look into HWOTA if the problem persists with future updates.

If you have September Security Patch then I wouldn't worry too much, I think that's the one that fixed the BlueBorne vulnerability...
HWOTA requires backing up, unlocking bootlader (which wipes device), updating then restoring. That's too much bother for me so I chose to pay for the upgrade. Each to their own. Firmware Finder is great but it requires Huawei authorising the update, which they don't always do.

I have this problem with b175, all the others work.
I contacted firmware finder and they couldn't really understand English. If you notice though on ff there is a few other updates that are not compatible too listed above,to be fair I'm not sure b175 is even out on the p10 plus yet? It's only mentioned for the p10 when you Google search but it's annoying me now because I want another update just to verify that my phone can be still kept up to date via the app
hi all,
I am really struggling with this. My P10+ is on B120 and I cannot for the life of me upgrade it. I tried Firmware finder in proxy mode or download mode. I tried downloading it on the pc and copy to the sd card , still no luck.
I seem to be getting, this firmware is not verified or that the download isn't verified. i also now have to press the power button whenever i restart the phone. is there any solution to this ?

I seem to have the same issue although mine is the P10. Picked up sim free from Argos. Still running B120 and device also says certified in Serbia. Also struggling with the forced update method. Getting a bit frustrated.

I did make an attempt but it didn't work for me. I'm not that confident going through the process either. Was kinda hoping there'd be an OTA waiting for me. Huawei Twitter support says B162 is the latest authorised release from them but can't seem to tell me much else.
Anyone resolve this issue yet? I will get in touch with huawei and ask if needed. im b120 still running march 2017 update. it a shame. i bought from amazon uk
Good news guys! I figured out the way to download the software updates! Go into the preinstalled app on your phone called Emui Software Updates, click on the three dots on top right of your screen, and click on download latest software packages.. Voila! Hope this helped! Im currently downloading B171 for my UK sim free p10.
Hello,
I have a question about EMUI9 for my P10 Plus (VKY-L09).
It looks like the updating is already being rolled out to devices and i still didn't get the update.
Is there a way to still get it somehow?
My bootloader isn't unlocked (tried to unlock it but no luck with DC-Unlocker services)
I hope someone could help me.
thanks in advance

As of today my P10+ hasn't received the pie update yet. Still on 8.0.0.327 C654. I'm in Canada. Carrier is Rogers.
Is there any safe way of manually installing the update? I'm used to flashing my older phones, but never tried flashing this one.
Thanks

Just from oreo to pie. Emui 8 to emui 9 update requires you to open up hicare on your phone and authorise the update.
Good to know. I received the official OTA yesterday night. Running smoothly! Thanks!
Does the pie update on P10 plus have the same video stabilisation problem as P10 pie?
