Hello,
Did it happen all of a sudden, or?
Do the ringtone/notification/alarm sounds work?
Did you install a specific app?
Did you update something?
Did you try something to fix the issue:
Did you try rebooting?
Wipe cache?
Factory reset?
Flash a factory image?
Downgrade the Android version?
Good luck...

Hey, maybe someone else will come with a better solution. But, if you want to downgrade, you need to unlock your bootloader (it will wipe your data completely, so backup what's important to you). You can find infos on how to unlock your bootloader here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928
And flash a factory image from Google. Images and infos regarding flashing can be found here: https://developers.google.com/android/images
Just do a factory reset if you encounter issue. 7.1.2 could conflict with 6.0.1...
Again, wait a little bit before making such radical change. Maybe someone will come with a fix. Sometimes, the solution is right here, but we just don't see it...
Good luck...
Thx mate
If you like to stay stock and use factory image anyway, I would reflash 7.1.2, no need to downgrade, sound works on 7.1.2. if it fails again, then downgrade would be an option .
Maybe it's enough if you reflash the system.img via fastboot.
Haven't noticed any sound issues on 7.1.2. Maybe you have an app installed that doesn't play nice with 7.1.2 and is interfering with the sound drivers, but I don't know how you would find what that could be. You did the obvious and went into settings sound and made sure that all the sound levels were good and that nothing was being muted? You could check the Google support threads and see if anyone is reporting a similar issue or if anyone has any ideas there. I suppose you could also flash a 7.1.1 factory image and see if the issue persists. I'm pretty sure there is a way to boot the 6P up into safe mode, even on pure stock. You could try that and see if the sound problem persists. If not its likely an issue with an app.
thx for answers volks.
Skype video works today, but no sound, viber video call ne work.

Hey,
Reading other users reply, 7.1.2 doesn't seem to be the culprit.
Before flashing a 6.x image, unlock the bootloader and try reflashing the 7.1.2 factory image. You can still downgrade afterward... :good:
Good luck...

Hello everyone, I have spent a lot of time searching but could not find a solution to my problem, hope you guys could help me.
Every time that I take a photo with my N910C, I get these pixels (red & green) on the photo that follow the same pattern, these dots do not appear on the viewfinder only when the picture is taken (using the back or front camera).
I would greatly appreciate any solution to this problem.
Thank you
Are you on stock Touchwiz or a custom ROM?
The best advice would be to flash stock firmware via Odin and see what happens.

Thank you for your reply.
I'm running stock Touchwiz 5.0.1. This problem started on 4.4.4 and persisted when I upgraded to 5.0.1. Any advice?
Thanks

Have you tried a factory reset?
Try this code in the dialler: *#34971539# or *#7412365#
If nothing works it maybe a hardware defect.

I haven't tried a factory reset as I'm hoping to avoid it as much as I can.
I tried *#34971539#, it displayed a menu to check the camera FW version, the "phone" and "load" versions are the same, but the "cam" version is different from them.
*#7412365# didn't work.
Why just dont wipe data, cache, etc (hard reset)?
Or go in SAFE MODE and see...
U can try flash whit ODIN,or simple go to samsung service and fix it if u have warranty
Booted the device into safe mode, and the problem is still there
I'm trying as much as I can to avoid a factory reset. Is there any other solutions you guys think can work?
This problem started out of the blue, the phone wasn't dropped or had any kind of liquid spilled on it.
Thanks for your help
I dont know...i alws just backup everything, and reset.... all problems fix and clear my phonee
Hi, i just installed RR but i noticed that i can't hear any audio even with hearphones. When i try to play a music, nothing happens. Also when i play a youtube video i get an error and i can't play any video. I noticed another bug, when anyone calls me, i can't answer or refuse because if i swipe to answer, it get stuck on the "answer or refuse" screen. I had this problem too in a older version of LineageOS and CyanogenMod so i reinstalled stock and all was working fine. Any idea of how to fix this? (Sorry for my bad english)

I just tried to see what happens when i play any music with cat log and i saw that ther are some "Sound" errors. Does anyone know what they are?
Any idea? I really want to fix this bug so i can daily use this ROM.
Did anybody experienced video lags / intermittent stuttering specially Hd video after N update? The only player that can make videos watchable is MXplayer in SW mode.
I tried wiping cache partition and reinstalling the update via bootloader to no avail. I thought I was lucky because i did not experience any bugs reported by other users but then I discovered this one.
Help?

Nothing changed even after the latest update. The videos are still laggy as hell
Did you upgrade with a factory reset? I didn't and had a weird crashing problem with root explorer (the only problem I had with nougat) that was corrected after I did that. Use Titanium Backup and it's not so bad
How HD are we talking? Like a 5gig file or 500meg?
I factory reset right after I updated and had no problems. You should seriously consider trying that.

I already tried factory resetting ( via recovery) after nougat update. I even reinstalled the update, reformat again, then wipe cache partition to no avail. Even the newest "stability" update did not change it. I never had this problem with M.
I can try and see if I can duplicate the issue you're having, what size video exactly? Is it h264 or h265? I tried a 500meg 720p video and didn't see any issues with it.
So hw and hw+ mode didn't work at all in mxplayer?
PLEASE READ!!
Hello everyone! I have been facing a serious problem for a while now. I get a warning when i try to take a picture using the stock camera app. I can actually take one or two photos but then the phone crushes,a warning pops up and then the phone restarts. I searched a lot on the web but i didn't actually find the exact same issue. Many people complained about this and had a black screen whenever they open the camera app. I don't get black screen but the camera app crushes whenever i try to shoot. I tried all the suggested solutions but they were all in vain. The same thing happens with the front and rear camera. I really don't think it is a hardware problem because this happens with the official firmware and the touchwiz based roms. I had the same issue with the resurrection remix camera(no warning, the phone just restarts) but i found solution with lineage os 14.1 camera!! The camera actually works with lineage os. I ve been using it for a while now but we all know that it is so basic and incomparable with the stock camera.
Anyone having the exact same issue?
If it's not a hardware problem, have you tried doing a hard reset?
This will restore your phone to its initial, factory settings. Thus, any third-party apps or issues your phones is having will be erased.
Factory reset steps: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/how-to-make-a-hard-reset-for-samsung-phones/
I tried all the suggested solutions in the android forums: factory reset, wipe cache, settings reset... None of them worked.
Did you drop this device or sat on it?
Try to take it to a phone repair shop and see if they can fix it.
Install a third party camera app from the play store and try (install few apps cameras) , if it works it's not a hardware issue, if your camera fails again it is passible a hardware problem.
I m sure it is a software problem. How can i fix that? Don't tell me to do a factory reset. I rooted my device. Is there any solution to do through the app systems or something. Can rooting actually help me fix that? How can i access all the camera related system files?
I hope you understand what i m trying to say

Try a free camera app, a custom Rom or just reflash your software with Odin. If the crash still happens it's a hardware bug, sorry.
I tried to flash with odin and use a free camera app. I had the warning in both of them. I tried many costom roms but the only working one is LineageOS 14.1 but the camera is so basic...

I still think this is a weird hardware bug, but try to install zero camera mod, maybe this will fix it somehow, or try a new micro SD.
My video recording suddenly stopped working. I have no idea why it happened. I can take slow motion and time lapse but not regular video. I have also tried other camera app. Google camera crashes. Open camera says failed to record video. Anyone experienced this? Attached is a logcat for anyone to see the problem. Thanks.

Did you solve this issue? It's happening for me as well on Oreo. Logs show errors with audio and video codecs. No difference between rooted and fully stock setup.

Damn, I was hoping that I can avoid doing factory reset. I'll wait for a full fastboot ROM and if it won't help, I might do the clean install as well In each case thank you for the answer

I'm not having any issues but after updating to Oreo from Nougat, I did a factory reset as I couldn't use the patched boot image, I had some magisk module that conflicted with Oreo. Now rooted and tested with Google and stock camera, both are recording fine, both set to 4K.
i have magisk installed and oreo in my xiaomi mi a1 and i can't record video or slow motion......i can record time lapse and take photos...
if someone solves this please let me know...

The only known workaround as of now is to use Cinema FV-5 app and change audio codec to AAC-ELD. You can vote for the bug here (click on CONFIRM) http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1449667&page=1
I've just flashed full Oreo ROM from http://en.miui.com/download-333.html and video recording is working again with and without root as well. No need for factory reset.
Me too (after from updating to 8.1 from 8.0). Any solution ?
Solved!
I finally make my mi A1 video recording work again. What I do? Let's see: I installed stock android 8.1 April security, after that I received the OTA November security update from 2018 and after update, I puted my phone in download mode (fastboot), I booted twrp, I erased all data like I install a new ROM. You may see multiple errors, don't worry. Reboot phone to fastboot, re-enter in twrp, format data, wipe everything (microSD and USB otg NO), do also this for slot a or b. After that, flash again you ROM (in my case miui 10 epic room). Then, should work. For me it was working
