Hi All,
Ever since I flashed a WM6.5 based ROM, I'm having problems with my Jawbone bluetooth earpiece .
After a while I can't use it, I believe it disconnects although the BT icon still shows connected.
I can't answer a call with it, and once I dial I can't hear anything through it.
When I turn both BT and the earpiece itself OFF and ON I get connection back.
Anybody experienced this? Does it have any relaitons to WM6.5 23XXX builds?
I've seen this happened in ROMS by NRG 23016/23071 build and Dutty R7
help please,
thanks,
R

this is also happening to me, i'm using miri's wm 6.5 rom.
strange thing is this does not happen when connected to my car radio bluetooth, only happens with my jawbone 2.
i'm really thinking of going back to one of kwbr's stable wm 6.1 roms. they're fast, reliable, and don't have the annoying bugs that wm6.5 and htc sense still have.
Hi,
I did see this thread, but they are talking about controlling the sense with BT headphones. I downloaded the BTfix.cab but didn't try it, because thought it wouldn't help.
Will try it now and report.
Thanks,
Rami
just want to say, with the same ROM i.e. duttys R7, my jawbone works fine.

i'm using 1.14, not that i think it makes a difference.
Radio version is 1.09.25.14 does this mean 14 or 09 version?
It's not manila related.
I've flashed Miri's v30 version WM6.5 with manila 2.1 and it is still happening.
My card BT is working well (Parrot 3200LS), though as with all ROM versions I can't manage to sync the phone book data.

Guys,
I tried a lot of the latest .35 ROMs (SDSL4.0, AOSP, Oxygen by DevSwift) and non of those supported my car bluetooth headset (Parrot, built in the cd player). I tried also the ASIS ROM from Mur4ik but it did not work. Now I'm using DevSwift's CM7 and it is fine.
Does anybody have any other recommended ROM with this feature working?
Thanks!
Tejas build three does. Using it with my mw600. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23699710
I too have the same problem with bluetooth headset. I've tried many (maybe all) ics and jb roms and not one works with my 2 headsets (it connects but no sound). For GB the ones who work are Devswift's ROMs and Zoe 4.0 ROM (which is based on Miro's SDSL 3.0 although SDSL doesn't support it!).
Also with every .35 rom you must forget deep sleep with bt on
If anyone finds other roms which fully support bluetooth please post..
Zoe ROM 5.0 will have bluetooth HeadSet, just read the chengelog.

Thanks for the post I 'm sure it will have bluetooth support as 4.0 has but if someone uses bluetooth headset standby for several hours must expect excessive battery drain as no deep sleep state in .35 kernels . Would there be any fix for this (e.g the choice to install .29 kernel?)
Anyway thanks for the dedication to our phone leoposas
My BT headset works fine with Zoe 4...
With regards to battery drain, my BT is on 8 hours a day so I can text via MyPhoneExplorer while I am at work, the battery lasts fine...
Thanks for the hints, I'll wait until Zoe 5.0 is out
Bluetooth bug in Zoe 5.0
Zoe 5.0 doesn't work well with my 2 headsets. .
With both headsets I hear sound only in the first call and the sound is horrible.. If I call again I hear nothing. It's a pity cause otherwise I think this is the best rom ever made for gt540.
If not solved I 'll have to switch back to Devswifts' CM7.
I think that SDSL v1.1 had full support

Only Stock Music player in CM7 supports buttons in headset after this you need some edit in /usr/ folder..
I've read around, and multiple people are having this issue, without any real solution. Does anyone know of a rom with which bluetooth is stable (or do I have a hardware issue?)
When Bluetooth is connected to any handsfree car system , it cuts out for a few seconds before reconnecting. For example, If I am in a call, it will revert to the built in earpiece & disconnect from the car , only to reconnect seconds later. Same of Bluetooth audio (a2dp). It's fairly disjointed.
I've tried both stock android 4.4.4 & the lastest Cyanogenmod snapshot & nightlies.
Thanks for any help, and I will post back if I find anything useful.
Never happened to me, I've connected with jawbone FM music transmitter, and with several other Bluetooth peripherals including headphones, my smartwatch, and a mono headset and not experienced this. Maybe its a problem with the specific car your trying to connect to? My BMW 750li doesn't pair with the nexus 4, and even a bb z10
Edit: if multiple people are reporting this and multiple hands free car systems don't work then maybe is a hardware issue? Which revision nexus you have ?

I suspect people are experiencing different issues, since no 2 cases appear to be the same. As for me, I have a 2008 Audi with integrated BT which worked fine with Gingerbread. 4.+ has been very different: the connection would often be lost and regained mid-trip and worst of all, 9 times out of 10 I couldn't initiate or terminate calls from the car. That last point is a deal-breaker for me...
Some early KK builds were fine, in fact I used Purity till March. Then a new build came along which returned the above issues. Since then I have tried virtually all the popular ROMs (I would create a Nandroid backup and reflash after a day or so - I still try new builds), and at least for me the AOSP ROMs all have the same issue, above.
I am currently using AICP ROM which is AOKP, nightlies are installed OTA and I don't have a single issue with the car BT any more. And it's a very stable ROM, I´ve been using the ROM for about 4 months I think.
Your mileage may vary, since I suspect we all have different issues, but the AOKP branch works for me. Dirty Unicorns works fo rme too.

Thanks for the responses. The cars work perfectly fine with galaxy phones & iphones, the issues lies with my nexus sadly. I will try the posted roms later on and update!
Also Paul, can you post a link to the rom you have installed? I've been out of the loop for a while and cannot find it !
Mine is also a rev11, 303k. I guess that rules out hardware issue

Here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/rom-aicp-3-5-kk-4-4-2r2-mako-t2632777 - enjoy!
This is the official download page, where you can get the gapps package you prefer, plus the release/latest nightly.
If you install the release you won't get the nightly updates. The nightlies are very stable, so I'd recommend the latest nightly.
I'm experiencing exactly the same problems than Blazing angel.
Bluetooth is unusable in my car, "Unfortunately, the process com.android.bluetooth has stopped" being displayed repetitively.
I suspect it's not hardware related as I do not have problem using the stock or paranoid ROMs. Unfortunately, my favorite ROMs (AOKP, CN or Carbon) are causing problems.
Do you think it's possible to pickeup some files in the paranoid files and inject them to Carbon to solve the problem ?
Thanks in advance for your help !

Should not be a oneplus 5 problem. Have you tried developer options to change Bluetooth related sound options?
My TaoTronics 35€ headset works pretty well, top sound
Even with the latest beta and stable updates the Bluetooth disconnect issues are wiped out.

Don't know what mods you selected in aroma installer, but there's no general Bluetooth problem in this rom regardless of version, that's fact.
And I really don't know why this headset needs an app to work properly or didn't it?
My headset, as said before, doesn't need one and is working flawlessly.
Wow It must be a erorr at the phone because I have written with bose and there sent me a new pair. The sam erorr.
I downgraded to 7.1.1 and now it work.
I had a similar problem when running batON. uninstalling that fixed it for me, so maybe check any apps that communicate with devices connected over bluetooth
Good morning. I have flashed the Meticulus RROS for Hi6250 with Android 8.1.0, and it works just fine with gapps and everything.
In the description, it says that BlueTooth doesn't work, and in fact, it doesn't, there are a lot of strange high pitched sounds. I wanted to know if someone could help me fix this because it's very annoying nowadays with TWS earbuds.
Thank you in advance,
Sergio

Hi, bluetooth audio, (speakers who use A2DP), will never work on this ROM , because of bluetooth chip.
