Just got the notification for Verizon's update. I'm sure it's the same one that kills the Bixby remapping.
That's most likely what it's for. I'll pass for now. It's annoying that Samsung is blocking the customization of that button, especially since Bixby is pretty useless this early on
Anybody else keep getting DQA Keeps stopping after the update?
Anyone taken the update yet?
Lol I actually came here to see what's up since getting the notification for it. Wanted to see what the deal was before jumping in being a seasoned Verizon customer.

Still going.... 83%
I should not have let this update pass. It's late. What was I thinking. I went through the Note 7 for crying out loud.
I am pretty sure I did not have the red tint issue before, now I do. And I get "DQA keeps stopping" constantly. I turned the red tint all the way down, it's fainter, but still there when viewing at angles. I've got 15 DQA keeps stopping while typing this. Broke my phone. Why, why, did I show faith in updates.
Well Damn... I lost the Google mapping to the Bixby Button. Now it doesn't do anything until you double press it. Most people probably got annoyed that they accidentally clicked on it.
Is there anyone who took the update that does not see a pink/red tint on white backgrounds with adaptive display setting after the update? You have to rotate the phone viewing angles to see it.

So, I have taken the update. I have the brightness turned all the way up., turned off the blue filter and am on adaptive display.
- I can confirm that when you look straight on the phone there is no tint.
- When I tilt the top of the phone away from me I think I see a VERY light pink hue but I don't know if I had that before. Also, my eyes might be playing tricks on me.
So as of right now don't take the update. Due to pink screen.

Yep. Someone had suggested rebooting which I did like 5 times, still kept crashing. I finally got it to stop by going into recovery and clearing the cache partition. Hope that helps!
I did that and nothing. But seems it finally stopped

Haha, I bet it really does just go away on its own and I just so happened to do all of that lol
I did the update yesterday. Got the dqa update a few times yesterday but none today. Also it seems the Bixby button doesn't work on first press sometimes. I have to press it a few times but not that it matters
Red tint fix "update" isnt going to be released for another week or so.

I hope the new updatee fixes the non us navigation licensing and picasa sync amongst other things
Well im assuming hes talking about this recent update ERE36B. Cause im not sure if OP has rooted. hmmm
I am more concern about the touch screen problem. Not the Multitouch one, but the one about the touch screen goes crazzzy (seriously a phone that is operate completely by touch screen and the touch screen is not reliable??? what the heck is Google/HTC thinking?). That is the main thing that is keeping me from this phone.

I'd be curious to see the actual number of people suffering from this problem since so few people are complaining about it. Mine doesn't have this issue.
My screen goes crazy.
Every day or so ill turn the phone on where the top half of the screen wil be fine, but the bottom half will be out of calibration by about an inch. I'll feel the vibrate from the Buttons at the bottom when im clearly about an inch about them. Reboot fixes

i must be one of the few people who are lucky as well. I don't have the screen calibration error. Every blue moon the wrong spot will light up but i just have to press it again, no need to exit out of app or reset. I've only had my n1 for a 1 1/2 months, i was not one of the early adopters, if that means anything.
Also, no screen calibration issues. Hope the new OTA opens up the rest of the N1 Ram!

I have two N1s here and no screen issues.
Get your palms off the side of the screen and it'll work fine.

The only screen issue I have is when I am using the phone via BlueTooth and need to Mute the phone.. when I hit the Mute button, it presses the 0 button instead. I just have to hit power to turn off the screen for a few seconds and turn it on and it works as expected again.

Look like my comment fired up a storm. According to Google help forum, there are about 2000 posts, some are just back and fore, but even then it still come to a sizable #, most of them done like 4 -5 exchanges and still have the problem. I have 1 more month until I pull a trigger on this phone, hoping to see improvement.

I have issues with touchscreen stuff all the time. When I type fast I'll get all kinds of errors... I also have the issue when sometimes no matter where I click on the screen it only hits the home button... I really hope this gets cleared up.
Well I must have very bad luck because this is my second N1 with the problem.Return the first one 00 because the screen craziness and receive a new one 01 (different badge) and also has the problem. But I'm keeping this one, anyway is rooted already and notices is better way better, but the problem still here, but just ,put it to sleep and wake-up and fix it.I don't know the cause of this if software or hardware but definitely not everybody has it.I downloaded a drawing app from the market and I can see that when the problem I touch someplace near the middle of the screen and it recognized the touch as a straight line all the way to the bottom.

And I always make sure I'm not making contact with the screen with the palm or anything else.
It seems the bottom buttons sometimes don't respond to touch. It takes a few taps to wake them up. Anyone else notice this?
yes i have, but mostly the home button... but once all of them are lit, the sensitivity goes up for some reason

No they do not. I wish they would stay on as long as the screen stays on. On the Samsung Fascinate for Verizon, they button DO stay on, so I believe this will or could come in a future update.
As for the sensitivity, I think they work great. I haven't used an N1, but on the N1 all the reviewers complained about the buttons, and with this phone, no reviewer has complained about the buttons so far, so I bet they are better. As for me, I have no complaints with them either.

Huh, I was gonna say mine are too sensitive, as I can hover over them and they go off without touching them. Then again, in the winter time static electricty always finds a way to knock my on my butt all the time. I should prolly stay indoors during lightning storms.
hopefully there is an update or tweak to keep these buttons powered on as long as the screen is on!

No I never faced such issue..
This is common in 303K and 305K version phones.. Just chill not a big issue.
If you are rooted you can use smart screen on to wake/off the device with a tap/slide.

I have gone through that particular thread before. Although I have always used LMT to lock, and turn the screen off, but I am not very comfortable with apps like s2w. Anyway, I am thinking more along the lines of a hardware fix. Has anyone gotten theirs done?

I have had my phone for a couple of days and noticed a green line at the bottom of my screen. When I rotate the phone the line rotates as well. Not sure if that is dead pixels because it rotates with the screen. Any ideas?

Looks like a battery bar, it's obviously not a pixel ish if it shows up in a screen shot
It does look like a battery bar. I'm betting it's in one of the apps you have downloaded.

Its a battery bar from one of your apps that you downloaded. Go to the app settings and unchecked the battery bar option.

But you did get it early despite this flaw you found on your device.
You got to hold and experience this beast before millions of others did. That's something you'll always be able to say. So just wait it out for your replacement and try not to get too upset over it. You've already learned first hand what this phone is capable of.

Yes I did but not upset. Tmo rep said I had a 20 day remorse period. I have a gs6 the gs6 is brighter on low levels. This gs7e is going to be a beast once rooted with custom roms. My only concern is the gear vr and Netflix that I registered for.

I wish I knew how to do a system dump to help speed up things.
After the new update (baseband ending in PC8) I've noticed that the position of the clock in the Always On Display is not changing.
Earlier, it used to move around on the screen, but not anymore. I've rebooted, changed clocks nothing.
Anyone else with this issue? Is it best to disable this for now?

Kinda working now
A couple of reboots later, it seems to be moving around though not as often as it used to.
I can now turn off the screen using the power button and turning it on moves the AOD - but only if there is some gap from the last time you turned it off.
I can confirm that the last update broke AOD for me as well. Stays in one spot.
Also, it never gets bright anymore. Even in sunlight. Had to shut AOD off.
Guess Always On display was updated on my phone. I tried it and lol its worse. Now it will just turn off after some minutes haha

Yeah, the latest AOD update didn't fix much for me. We should be getting a new system update coming down the pipeline soon. Hopefully that fixes it.
I've actually seen the new AOD update fix it. It moves only 1pxl a minute and while random area every hour. Might actually save some battery while providing the same functionality.

Yeah its quite ****. Had to turn it off so that I don't end up burning my screen. But what's funny is that it just happened very suddenly. Like one second it was fine and suddenly it wasn't.
Before the update there were multiple of colors Neon Blue and Hot Pink, now after the update there is only one color, neon Blue.
Can anyone else please confirm this for me.
