Hi. I have a S7 edge 935FD (unrooted). I bought it in Taiwan, but I use it in the UK with a UK SIM. However, I have not yet received the GA update. Presumably Google knows I'm in the UK, but am I not getting the update because of my phone's country of origin? I've downloaded and installed the latest Play Services beta because I read that might 'force' the GA install, but no luck. I've also read that changing the handset default language to USA English can help, although I don't see how that would work. My phone is 935FXXU1DQCT, running Android 7.0. Can anyone help me?

I have an Australian delivered model (And I live in Australia) and I can't work out how to enable google assistant... Even if I search for it in settings.

Hey SpunkyBob, thanks for your reply. Installing the Google Launcher doesn't work. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting GA because my phone is from Taiwan. I'm really looking for verification of this, and some possible workarounds. Thanks anyway.

I don't think it's because your phone is from Taiwan. I didn't have it till last week and many tutorials said update Google play services and Google app but it didn't work for me. But I made it work by adding English US and removing English UK that it was previously on. Google Assistant came straight on and after setting it up, I changed my language back to UK and removed US. Everything works perfectly now. So I guess your best bet is first by updating those two and then doing the language thing. Hope this helps.
Edit.S be sure to remove UK when you set the language.

First impressions !!!
Hi everybody !!
I'm a lucky spanish owner of the P600 and I've installed kitkat this evening !!! I couldn't guess it would arrive so "early" to my country
I can confirm it comes with multiuser !!!! In fact it has two types of users: regular users and restricted users (where you can allow access app by app, very useful with kids).
New UI (apart from notification bar, multiwindow bar, recent apps and settings menu that are completely different not other major changes advised, but I'm using nova launcher).
I can not tell you something about battery life yet as it's too soon.
New gallery, new my files app, new samsung store, samsung link, group play, watchon, peel smart remote, scrapbook and maybe I'm missing something more but not so relevant.
It's absolutely smooth, but I hadn't complains about it in 4.3 as I was using nova launcher and still with few lag in lockscreen (exynos "feature") but much less than before for sure !!!
These are my first impressions. Surely I'm missing something but in general I think is a good update (only by the multiuser feature it is worth it !!).

Call me boring but I really wanted to wait for the UK version thinking I'd give it a full wipe before installing 4.4. It would save me having to wipe my Note yet again and setup everything from scratch.
Do you think there will be any differences at all between the Spanish & UK version?

There will be NO great differences between the Spanish and the UK verrsion, I suppose.
What I did:
- I had the Dutch, older version.
- I flashed the 4,4 VS KitKat version with Odin. All my own settings and my installed programs remained at my Note 600. I mean: nothing had disappeared.
- But yesterday I downloaded the Spanish version. Before I flashed it with Odin, I cleaned up my Note 600 by doing a full wipe and factory reset. (You can find it at your screen by clicking together the next tree buttons: home, volume up and power for about 15 seconds).
- After that I flashed the Spanish version.
I noticed that the Spanish version is almost the same as the VS KitKat version. That made me suppose that the UK version will be almost the same, too.By the way: later on you can flash the UK version with no problem over the Spanish version: you wil not lose any of four programs and other personal things.
What about warranty? I suppose flashing a different firmware will change my csc so I will lose my warranty... Is that correct?

I'm curious now too. I'm SO fed up or waiting for 4.4 on the UK variant....but I don't want to do it if changing the csc voids the warranty. Surely as it doesn't trip KNOX you can just use ODIN to reflash the original firmware to correct the csc if something goes awry and needs a warranty repair?

Flashed the Spanish version on my UK tablet and it seems perfectly fine. Thanks!
Sadly it doesn't work with Towelroot, but that's another matter.

So, maybe those who have joined the program, can force the update this way aswell.
My phone is an unlocked and never rooted G925F with the CSC code changed to XEU and the last 5.1.1 update installed. I live in Spain.

Easiest way is to flash the firmware you would like to change your CSC to, then after that boot to Recovery, it should tell you "Multi-CSC applied" and it is done, you can even check it with the Phone Info app later to see if it indeed changed

I think that CSC only change if you make a wipe data/factory reset, if not you will continue with your old CSC.

Yeah, you are right I had to do a factory reset, and now Marshmallow update is downloading!!

I am on locked phone, live outside UK, so I install BTU firmware but no luck with download -same message i

The app won't help you. You need to apply for registration through it. Nothing more.
What does it matter if you can or can't register? When the time is there a flashable package of Marshmallow will appear here on the forums

Probably because the app has more purpose than applying for the beta. A purpose that isn't available yet.

My SM-N915A says that it is up to date when I use ota, kies, and smart switch on pc but I'm still on OI6 build 5.1.1 any help on updating my device or link to download the needed files for the 6.0.1 MM update..... THanks

I'm from Pakistan but it says software is up to date on at&t note edge . What now ? Currently on 5.0.1
So today I went to the Samsung shop inside best buy to get the update because when I tried to update via OTA, Kies, and Smart Switch (computer app) it said that my device was up to date. So I was talking to the tech there while i got my update, I had asked what software they used to update the phones the tech told me that it is called "Smart" not Smart Switch. So the tech gave me back my phone and I looked to see what built number I got updated to I saw that it was COI9. Then I argued with the tech that AT&T had pushed the MM update . So the tech was nice enough to check to see if I had anymore updates and to my demise the tech said that it was the latest update... If anyone can get a hold of the software that they use could/would be nice enough to upload it so we can do the forced updates to our Samsung devices.

After we upgraded our two Note Edges to Marshmallow, we are definitely not seeing the imprint/line that you're seeing.
It almost looks like screen burn.
Also, we had ordered a used replacement Note Edge a while back and it came looking just like that. We tried screenburn apps, which did not fix the problem (so it was sent back).

I got c21, with purevpn India in EU. Its really fast and nice ui but it broke google pay nfc payments for me. Some error about device might be rooted and is not certified.

I updated also my eu phone to realme ui. Do you have option for sidebar? Because mine disappeared after the update
Sidebar seems to be gone from me as well. Is this still beta version? Seems pretty final apart from broken google pay.

I used seed4 vpn and selected India too. I hope it will be fixed with the stable release or else I think a factory reset is needed

Factory reset Is needed i had the same, after reset no problem. to update I use urban vpn of course location India

I don't think so, I had the update on the EU version with Indian firmware, I think it's quite risky
