I had also received the update but didn't have any security patch for march its still showing January. And also I dont have any problems with signal
EDIT - I just checked for an update and got the security patch but what do you say should I update ? Was that issue u faced after the security update ?

I am not facing any issue like network drop. Everything is fine before and after update.

Not a drop but faster draining
For ex:- If the battery drains by 1% in 5 mins it was draining 1% in 3 mins when the battery was 73% till 50 then it becomes Normal

I don't think Motorola released an April 2017 patch for the Z Play
edit. ... found the April 2017 patch for the Z Play. Apparently, it's rolling out to the RETBR software channel. I sideloaded it on my Canadian Moto Z Play.

I don't know when you'll receive it in India.
I wouldn't know about any issues since I've had the patch installed for about 15 minutes.
According to its release notes, it's only the security patch, so it may not fix anything else.

That's not the reason, I received it too and my Z Play is not registered on MFN.
The changelog says it's about the security patch, improvements to Moto 360 connectivity and a fix for long boot times while using large microSD cards. Kernel compilation date stays the same, so I'm guessing it doesn't change the scenario for Magisk/modules

Vzw, It breaks the stock dialer ability to send tones to phone cueing machines. Effing amazing!
Fortunately the Z2 dialer from some app section works instead! Can't remember where Z or Z force.
Both the broken stock and this dialer must be active.
This is same as attached but a newer version, it will replace the attachment app.

This is interesting. I just looked and the security update is from back in Aug. I think the change list is the same as all the others that have been out already.
The 810 has the same update with different build number. I'm thinking that these are just late updates for that country. They were behind everyone else.
I don't see any reason we need it. But I could be wrong.

This is China's first Nougat Rom. They've been on Marshmallow til now. I think it was the last to get Nougat.

yeah 170mb wont give the fix,, but may be updating of could do miracle ,,, although the issue of battery drain was not officially discussed i guess

From what I saw, yes. The users that skip an update get a much larger ota update later than what a regularly updated user would get.

I just got v9.6.16 after the update, I think it's just the November security patch, mine was 300mb, but I was on June security patch before

I just got the same updates
About phone on top is starting of pie, in pie about phone is on the top... So we are getting pie in next update for sure... Seems time is over... By month end we should get pie now
