When I plug my device to charge at night, it was 13% and when I woke up at 11am, it was only 39% and the phone wasn't showing that it's been charged whereas the charger was connected. I had to replug the charger to charge it. And it also happens at other times too. Is there any solution for this? And are other peoples also victim of this problem?

check the cable, replace another one.
if still there, its maybe because of the phone

I checked their official forum and quite a lot of people are facing this issue. I guess its a software issue since not all devices can be damaged.

It's still Marshmallow so I don't see a major upgrade and plus, I found that this isn't a issue, it's a safety measure by Qualcomm to ensure that high voltage doesn't damage the device. Just one problem, it doesn't start recharging by itself.
i was having this problem last week after the miui update 7413 global beta, before it every thing was normal, i installed the ampere app from google play, and it said the phone was charging at around 130 to 300 ma; I was horrified about it, and wait for the phone to charge about half and hour, and check the charge level and it gained about 5%, so i restarted it and the phone fix itself, and begin to charge at 800 ma, and latter it reached 1400ma, as its doing right now several days after

My X1 doesn't turn on anymore! I just woke up and it was off. I left it recharging during the night... Now when I plug it in all I see is a red light on the power on/off button. Any ideas?
Could it be just the battery?
The problem is i got it from someone in England so i'm not sure about warranty.
take off the battery cover and then take out ur stylus and you will see a little hole next to the battery and then take ur stylus and push he little button in tha hole and then that will restart it.
no, that doesn't solve it... but thanks
i tried removing the battery and leaving it off for a while but nothing...
the red light appears only when the phone is supposedly charging
Then leave it charging for hours and don't touch it until the red light goes away. Then you can switch it on again.
Don't let a Lithium-battery run out of power! It drastically reduces the battery lifetime and it's not easy for the controller to charge it again.
Recharge the battery before it runs out, best at >40%
Hmm... think I encountered that red light problem before, though can't really remember how I solved it. Think encountered it when I was charging using another cable (and not the original one) and later was ok after using the original cable + charger.
Thanks guys
I'll try doing that. I never left it with less than 50% battery though... I have no idea why this happened.
I'll give news later today

When the battery decreases that fast (50% over night) than maybe the battery is broken. If charging over a few hours does not help, you should try another battery.

I left it charging (it was at around 60% when i plugged it)
Still doesn't work.. the red light goes off after a bit and if i try to turn it on (while plugged) a red light by the USB port flashes 3 times.
It has the same behaviour as if the battery wasn't on.
I tried reading the voltage and it's at 3.3v which is 0.3v below normal but that's because it's not fully charged, right?
I'm afraid of throwing away another €35 for a new battery and it still doesn't work :\

Are you charging with a computer?
Try the real charger. You can always try a battery from another one who has the same phone or go to a shop where they sell it and kindly ask for a battery to try.
Should be no problem.
oh man! it's working now! i don't know what happened... I didn't do anything else. In fact, I had just sent an e-mail to Sony Ericsson

oops didnt see your reply
yeah i tried the charger as well. No idea what happened here.
Thanks skycamefalling!
edit: Oh yeah... something wrong happened during the charge because now it shows just around 20% battery left! hmm... what could drain battery this fast while the phone is sleeping (and plugged in to the pc)?
Glad to hear your phone is awake again

It seems your USB-PC port does not give currency to the phone. It's the other way around -the Computer sucks the power out of the battery.
You can look in the Hardware Manager (PC) how which currency the USB port provides -it should be around 500mA when the phone is plugged is.
I would suggest using the wall charger to be sure the phone is charging.

It's weird. I've been using the same port every night since I got the X1 and it always charged it perfectly. They all provide the 500mA.
Yeah, I'll use the wall charger from this day on whenever I can haha... *phew*
I recently had an issue with my battery on my Photon.
I got 70% max charge dropping to 5% in 3-4 hours with simple use.
In plug i often got 0%, when i put off the plug, 5% ->phone OFF
So I decided to go to the HTC service.
In the beggining they told me that the ROM had the problem, it was giving wrong information to battery display.
After they installed the official software, the problem was there again.
They told me that it was a Motherboard problem and it had to be changed for fixxing.
My Question:
Did the ROM caused this problem?
Can this happend because of a wall electricity plug of mine?
If the fault is on the wall plug, what can i do to protect my device?

I don't think it was the ROM.
Do you have the right charger?
Did you try a new battery?

I got the original including charger.
I asked them to see if it is battery fault but it was only the motherboard.
I am having a weird problem every now and then. Most of the time when I charge my phone it juices up all the way fo full, no problem. But every once or twice a month it charges to about 70%, then just stops (see attached screenshots). If I look at the lockscreen I can see the charging notification flickering on and off. It won't charge to 100 unless I unplug and replug, then it seems to fix the problem.
I'm on stock rom 4.2.2, faux kernal v11.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
try turning phone off, then charge it?
same issue?
Plug/Unplug the cable and the charger several times, does the trick for me
Yea, I can get the phone to charge again by unplugging and plugging back in the cable, it just kind of stinks to wake up and find out that my phone didn't fully charge overnight.
It's not a big deal, I was just hoping someone found a solution to stop it from happening.
The solution I found is using a different charger

I think I'll have to try this, I'm currently using the charger that came with the phone, but maybe I'll try one of my older chargers and see if that fixes the problem.

Used to happen every so often to me with the stock charger too so I bought a different one and it just happened to me again last night on the new one after a couple weeks of use.
i have this issue too, it will charge fine for a while but then ill wake up in the morning to see it rapidly switching from AC to Not charging over and over again. i dont know why but i dont want it to damage the phone
Same crap here
Since it happened the last time I've switched to using my old Sony charger and cable. So far so good, hasn't happened again...yet.
My device has the charging icon on the battery picture at the top but the battery level itself isn't increasing. After 4 hours on charge with no use it is still on 13% as it was before I tried charging it. The battery level isn't decreasing when in charge either. The wire itself is a bit broken would the cause the problem and should I just buy a new lead or is it likely to be a problem with the device/ battery ?

Do you mean the charging cable is damaged? If that's the case I would definitely start there and try a different charger first.

had a lot of issues with the original charger cable, it did not connect very well. using another charging cable from my phone solved the issue. btw my charger itself well was overcharged I guess and now I can;t use it anymore. but enough other ones are laying around.
Solved - Battery won't charge
Like many others I've had charging problems with my Nexus 7 since it was almost new. It would intermittently not charge (even though the display indicated it was) or charge very slowly. I tried every suggestion listed in the forums that didn't involve opening the tablet. None of them made any difference. The charging issue gradually became worse until a couple of months ago when the battery wouldn't charge at all while the tablet mocked me with it's cheerful charging indicator.
For my tablet the problem was solved by changing the USB connector in the tablet. It took 20 minutes, cost $10 delivered (on Ebay) and is now working fine.
Somehow voltage shown by my spike guard was lower than generally shown. I kept phone on charge for almost 3 hours but after that when i removed battery was still below 15%, at same point when i had started charging.
I was showing that phone is charging but still no increase in % of battery.
After that phone battery got drained as i was busy doing something else and didn't kept phone charging.
Now when i plug in charger for initial some time red light blinks and then nothing happens.
I kept phone in charge for almost 2 hours and nothing,
I used wall plug charged, connected to PC both. same result.
can anyone help?

Hi,
I figured out our GIONEE chargers are no better than cheap chinese ones. SO try with some other better quality charger from LG, MOTO or SAMSUNG and it will get charged.

Ya I tried with samsung too... but no response... So when used other standard chargers , your mobile got charged.. The same Gionee charger and other charger is able to charge my other mobiles but this isn't

Gionee phone not charging even when connected and showing charging
Hi Everyone,
I faced the the similar issue recently, I dont know why's and how's about the cause... But, I figured out that the phone starts charging when Airplane Mode is Turned ON. I suspect it to be an Android Issue as I have read same complaints from Android users having phones of different makes.
Hope that we will get a patch or may be its fixed in the newer versions of Android.
My Android Version is 4.4.2
Hope this would be of some help to you.
Cheers!!!
Dear Friends,
I am facing the same problem while my gionee m2 is not charging properly... Only showing charging but battery percentage not increased. My Android Version is 4.2.2
