Front Camera at night is bad

i think iPhone Front Camera is better than S5
so any mod to make a front camera better ?? it is very bad now

Yes, Its called a DSLR and for a low light shot I would suggest a f/1.4 HERE

The front camera is not going to be much use in low light, I would try to use the camera on back of phone and using the low light settings within the camera settings.

the ****ty horrible g2 camera is there a way to make it work?

I bought this phone bc I thought it's good it has good design this is only now the camera is the worst part in the phone I think every lg g2 owner know how bad is the camera is there a way to make it work and take clear pic in normal and low light? This is the last lg electronic device I will buy lg make ****ty products

My phone camera is pure crap, the photos are always blurry with VERY BAD colors!

Camera isn't bad. Use XCam and learn how to take photos.

Camera isn't bad compared to what? I tried xcam and it's still the same or maybe better by 5%. Learn how to take pic! Do u know even iphone 4 or s2 kick g2 camera in room light or low light?

Also buy Donation App and turn off Auto night + night mode from settings, you will see performance difference on low light.Use normal mode and be sure you are taking photos with same settings on eaach phone (ISO, WB etc.)

Maybe your problem is scratched camera lens.
After I had noticed the bad camera quality and had changed the camera lens protector the camera had started to work normally.
+ If you use lower Android version, you can get Mi2Raw working, with allows you to do advanced photo editing using Photoshop.

i bet that you have scratches on your lens, good luck with that

No it's brand new phone the camera is good n high light but n room or low light is crap u bet it's scratched ha

Who have time to use Photoshop to fix normal photo! Or root or any other complex solution the g2 is has horrible camera and this is the last lg device I ever buy

to be precise - i edit every photo worth sharing in snapseed...
btw g2 has a decent camera (at least on stock based roms) for a 2 year old device - on aosp it sucks because of lacking proper camera api's...

btw i also think he expects too much from a f2.4 lens in low light...

i have the s2 and i think g2 has good camera.. you should google lg g2 vs on ypu tube and compare camera pics on the s4. or you can use this mod

I am not talking about normal photos. If you want quick edit use Snapseed . If you are playing with RAW files use Photoshop or Lightroom. Thats all. Instead of nervousness you could upload your camera samples, and it would be more clearlier what is wrong.
And yeah, don't buy it. Buy ant iPhone, because as I see, you have visited Xda without knowing, that this is developers page, and people try to get MAX OUT of they devices.
As I sayd, just try Xcam + Xcam setting. +Install advanced drivers, the camera will be as new.

snapseed supports some basic RAW (dng) images edit since last version... and it works pretty ok...

Snapchat quality in regards to eis

Anyone who has a oneplus 5 what's the camera quality on snapchat. I know it's going to be way worse than camera app like any other android but is it decent? Because it has eis and not ois does that effect snapchat quality? Is it really shaky?

Well, the pictures are good quality...but dont try to make a video with a lot of background noise... Also the videoquality is really blurry

Your right. Snapchats app on android is horrible. The most powerful android phone runs Snapchat like an iPhone 5s.

I really haven't had a lot of problems with snapchat. It's a pretty basic camera obviously. No crazy blurry pics but you do need to keep it pretty steady. Unless you came from a phone with OIS before, and I know some of you guys did, and for you guys, it might be a bit of an adjustment, but it seems fine to me. It's nowhere near a terrible experience.

When I came home I will upload it.
I have just one video right now but it definitely don't have EIS however it's more natural

Uh if there is OIS then it should work with any camera because it move always.

Thanks for uploading and the images look amazing but the video looks OK (bad) this could all be fixed through software update from Snapchat team for full support of the camera and not screen capture.

It's more for video stabilisation. As EIS in the camera works perfectly, what abt Snapchat?

I'm thinking of getting this phone, the only thing that is holding me back right now is how some people say the camera is horrible. Anyone who has the V20 or has had the V20 can give me their opinion on how the front and rear camera is with Snapchat? If you have any could I see some examples as well. Thanks!

1) Cant. Both.
2) Try gcam or Oneplus Camera Mod on themes/apps/mods thread.

Grab an Nokia 6300 or similar and you'll see what's a bad camera. Jokes beside, the camera quality is superb compared to all devices I owned before and that's also proved by many members as you can read in the reviews https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/review/photo-quality-t3646094
