Hello guys,
I'm experiencing an embarrasing problem with my grand prime. It boots itself in safe mode, and my volume down button isn't working. I think that the button is stuck but i cant find how to fix it. Is there any way to disable the volume button ?
Thanks

Hey guys,
I have a Galaxy S4 LTE (GT-I9505) and I'm currently at the official 4.4.2 (XXUFN88).
Yesterday I was listening to music and my volume started to go down by itself. I has annoyed me but ok. Today, at the morning, I've noticed that my volume down button wasn't working. So I restarted my phone. So the phone went to the recovery screen. Volume up to flash a rom or down to cancel. I tried so hard but none of the options were available.
After a few tries I succeed to enter in safe mode by turning on my mobile with the volume up pressed. At the safe mode I noticed that the volume up was normally working.
I thought that it could be a hardware issue. Then I head to a place to have this fixed. But after opening the phone we noticed that everything was alright. The technical assistance told me that the problem was at the software. Ok, I came home to reset the s4.
I did a factory reset through safe mode but the problem is still here. Now I'm planning to reflash the rom with Odin, but since I can't choose 'continue' at the recovery screen I don't know what to do.
Please help me. Thanks in advance.

[ATUALIZATION] Hey guys. I had no answer but here I am again.
I'm trying so hard to fix this problem. Now I'm pretty sure that my problem is software related. Just because when I turn on my phone it goes automatically to download mode (and i should been pressing power volume down and menu for that). And if i press volume up it goes to safe mode (but for that i should been pressing volume down and power insted).
Do somebody know how can I accept the option "CONTINUE" at the download screen with volume buttons unresponsive? I do really want to reflash the ROM and check if it works.

Can you not use the up button to loop around to continue then select it with power ?

No. When it reaches the Download screen any buttons work.
See, I found another guy with the same problem. Another evidence that it's software related: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678489

Your only option is to fix that button. Clearly a hardware issue.
but sometimes it works..the issue came in existence after i put my frien's sd card on my phone
so i had a little doubt that its a hardware issue
anyway
thank you for your help
i will contact my customer care center for that
Since i dlash a kitktat bootloader for d802 and re flash ressurection rom last build.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all fine.
I just brought an S4 2 days ago, and I was forced to Root it using Odin.
The process went well I had my phone rooted and working Fine,Until today when I was listening to music in my phone, and I wanted to turn down the Volume a little bit, but the Volume down button didn't work !!!( it's not a hardware probleme because it was working perfect this morning, but after I gave the phone to my lil sis she had done something in the settings I thinks), so after that I tried to turn off my phone to see if the volume button will work(it was the first time I shut down the phone after the root),and then an error showed up with a yellow triangle on the bottom of the screen, the error message is ''Warning!! A custom OS can cause a critical problems in your phone and installed applications. If you want download a custom os press the volume up key. Overwise, press Down key to cancel. Volume up : continue Volume down cancel ( restart phone) '' . I tried to press both Volume buttons but it didn't work, so I tried to shut it down again and press volume up buton +home+ power button then the phone turned on with the Samsung galaxy S4 screen I was so happy but when it did turn on it was On safe mode -_- , right now I can't flash the room because I can't press the Volum Up button to Continue to Download mode, Right now I'm still at safe mode and waiting for your ideas , Please help me guys I'm new in this Forum a friend of mine told me to post here and they will help you.So please help me.
So you're no longer stuck in download mode but are in safe mode. Power off the S4 and turn it back on. If safe mode reappears then your volume down button is stuck. [EDIT] If you cannot enter download mode, your volume up button is stuck. Exchange the S4 for another unit if possible. If not possible, whack the left edge gently against a table to try and unstick the button. If that doesn't work the button on the motherboard needs to be replaced.
Hi guys,
My friend has a grand prime 530FZ and it boots into safe mode by itself. Soft and hard reboot dont have any effects.
After many tests, i saw that the volume down button was broken so i think it is constantly being pressed while booting, thats why it boots into safe mode.
Now i would like to know how can i disable these volume buttons or how can i manage to get normal boot without changing the motherboard.
Otherwise the phone works well, i can access to download mode but not into recovery because of this constant volume down during boot.
Thanks for your help guys
