Hey, I have LG G2 D802 with TWRP recovery and CM13 ROM and I would like to give this phone to my dad and I want to delete all apps and settings, but if I will do factory reset, it will remove CM 13 and give back stock rom that I dont want. How do I delete all apps and settings without removing CM13? Btw I cant reflash CM again because CM Download is dead.
Thanks

Hi!
It won't. A "factory reset" will reset the current OS to the point you flashed CM13, not the entire phone. There is no stock OS on your device anymore. Only CM13. So, just do it.
No need to flash a stock rom. If you want delete all apps and settings just do a factory reset through twrp recovery and if you want delete all data and files photos videos ... go to format data . any rom on your phone you can delete it only in advanced wipe>wipe system, not when you do a factory reset like you think

if you go in to recovery and go to mounts and storage, format the /sdcard
Greetings all,
I have the i9500 S4,
I was running Hassan Rom and everything was fine, yesterday i've tried to boot the OzcanRom, and kept getting the (process.media. and process.phone not working)
The phone was not working, and after multiple tries of rebooting the said rom, i decided ill go unroot it and install the stock official rom (as i need my mobile for work etc...)
What i did is wipe the dalvikcashe and the system files (which i think was wrong) and tried to flash the stock rom via Odin the old simple way.
Everything went fine, when my mobile turned on again, i kept getting the same messages:
(the proccess android.process.media... & the proccess android.process.acore... & the proccess android.process.phone... Unfortunately email has stopped...& the new message Unified Deamon (EUR) has stopped.
The mobile is useless, can't access anything, can't connect to USB media so i can backup the files, can't connect to WIFI as it restarts...
Please help me guys as soon as possible i really need my mobile for my work...
(Preferably without a full wipe, or if necessary offer a backup way for my gallery)
Should i try installing a different stock rom? as i chose one from SamMobile that was the closest to my region...
Perform a factory reset. You can do that from the recovery or from within android. Make sure to backup the files on your internal storage.

Thank you for the reply.
I can do that, but i can't backup the files as nothing on the phone is working, pressing the gallery button for example, leads to the (process.media not working) message.
Any other solutions? i don't understand, isn't flashing a stock rom supposed to solve all these issues? should i try flashing another version of the Roms (different region perhaps)?
It does solve it, but you need to factory reset.
What I would do:
- Flash a custom recovery.
- Do the wipe option prepare for new rom.
- Flash stock/custom rom.
That way your internal storage won't be wiped.

Great, Got me relieved when you said internal storage won't be wiped.
Thank you for the reply, i don't want to be a pain in the ***, but could you please explain a few things,
What i'm gonna do is, flash a custom recovery (please recommend one that has the wipe for new rom)
Then, Do the wipe option, which wipe option, the recovery i had had only 1 wipe option, how do i know its not the one that's gonna wipe my data)
Finally, ill flash the rom. (Do i need to root my device again then? to flash a custom rom, if yes, im just gonna go with stock rom and let my mobile work for a few days where i need it then root and install a custom rom again)
I really appreciate your help, and your prompt answers.

- You can use Philz recovery
- You know the wipe option when you see it. The one that say prepare for new rom. No custom rom will wipe your internal storage. That option is somewhere hidden.
- You don't need to root, just flash.
ps you will lose all your apps. It will not wipe your internal storage.

I want to Flash Sammy Rom, which is 4.4.2 Based, but my phone is updated to 4.4.4? Will I be able to flash the rom like I normally flash any other or is there another process?

Sammy Rom is a TW ROM. If you're coming from an AOSP ROM you will want to do a factory reset in you're recovery.
First, make a backup from your recovery in case you don't like the new ROM or you have issues. After you have made your backup do a factory reset. After you factory reset flash the new ROM.
You can backup apps with Titanium Backup or something similar if you want to try and restore them on your new rom. (may not work)
Good Luck!

Okay because I'm coming from liquidsmooth. If I do a factory reset, then will that wipe my internal memory?

I think he is mixing up some words. He means to wipe your device in the custom recovery, not to factory reset it.

So clean wipe, then flash like normal. So 4.4.2 will not create an issue on my S4 because it's on 4.4.4?

Yes do a clean wipe as you say. Inside ROMs it is sometimes called a "Factory data reset" or something along those lines. It is the same thing in the end.
Thanks guys.

Is it possible to downgrade from CM14.1 to CM13 via DirtyFlash?
Reason is that xposed is not working on Android N yet and i want to DirtyFlash, because i do not want to wipe all my datas / make a factory reset.
I have a G900F.
Why not to backup Ur data by titanium backup :/?

dirty flash will not work. use TiB to back up the stuff you want to keep, go into TWRP, use the advanced options file manager to delete the android folders from both internal and external. Wipe those 3x each (yes, 3x) and then do a factory reset and install your CM13 variant and restore your stuff via TiB. Thats the only sure fire way to get this to work.

Just a quick question:
I know that i have to be in stock lollipop rom to install lineage or cyanogen, I installed stock lollipop then lineage 14.
But if im already in lineage 14 and i want to reinstall the rom, do i have to flash lollipop again via odin and then TWRP, then wipe and install or can i just install without going to the whole process of odin etc?
Also, factory reset works as in stock rom, or do i have to reinstall?
Sorry, i know this is noobish, but its bothering me since days ago and i cant find a clear answer.
Thank you for reading!

You can reinstall it without repeating the process.
I don't know about it's factory reset, but i guess it should work.

if u are reflashing the same rom again then no need to wipe data.just on twrp wipe system, cache, dalvik cache and then flash that rom again ...no loss of any data.but if u want to go to stock firmware then u have to flash stock via odin...there all user data will be erase....if u want to make factory reset like stock on lineage then open twrp and wipe data.....all user data will remove.
