Miui Please - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it to much to ask for someone to bring Miui to our Z00TD please. This is one of my favorite ROMs and would love to have a stable ROM of Miui to our asus. If not can someone please direct me in the right direction what phones are the best for us to port from. It's been awhile since I ported but I am desperate to have Miui on this fine Z00TD.. Ty
Well what would be the best phone to port from? Maybe I can at least port miui over to our device

Its been a very long time since I've ported. Last time I ported a ROM was for mytouch 4g slide miui v4 4.1.2 lol see here is link so you know I'm not all talk.

Now if I could just get a quick start on it by having someone tell me what's the best phone for us to port from. Thankyou. Its just that I work a lot so it would make process little faster

We will need a stable CM rom before the MIUI team jump on the play. As there roms are based on CM
It does not have to be "stable" i remember on the Defy (my prevouse device) CM7 came out and 1 month later when CM7 had a lot of bugs remaining, miui came out. Now both ROMs are nearly stable but not perfect.
Would love to get into this ROMing buisness myself.
I'll try and have a look around, maybe i can find some productive information..
Would appreciate any help though!
Quick Question: Is there a generic MIUI version not branded for any phone?

How i can port ICS AOSP?

Hi everybody.
Who tell me , how port ICS AOSP rom from this http://maclaw.pl/?page_id=180 . I think AOSP will be good speed and smooth on this device. I used some guide's to ''Fastest and simples port...'' , but any don't help me port THIS ROM (stop on boot image).
I used Miroslav build - CM9.
PS. Don't post comment: ''that device is too old for ICS , check AOSP 2.3.7 bla, bla'' . Everything is possible if u want!

If we tell it to everybody that ICS & JB projects are too heavy for our device, is true. We have to understand that, I want a working ICS or JB, course I do! But we have to put our feet on the earth and see that LG Swift cannot run even 95% functional ICS or JB rom.
Sorry if I didn't help you, but the reality is that.
@up I don't need thats posts...wait for realy help.
HQ mpeg4 movie without QComm decoders it was incredible...it was.
Naaa this types of cheap and dirty ports will never do. Go check out xda-university.com great guides by devs on how to build aosp ROMs kernels etc.

[Q] [HELP] Sprint LGLS980 how to unlock and install TWRP. Noob to the G2

Hey guys and gals. I ordered a new G2 Sprint LGLS980 for my dad replacing his Galaxy Nexus (yeah I know about time). I want to put an AOSP 5.1 rom on it but Im new to this device. I have unlocked and installed custom recovery on many devices so im not a total noob to this. I have searched for how to do this but I cant seem to find an up to date best way to do this. Can some one help me out or point me in the right direction on the steps to take to get this done?
Also he will be using it on Sprints network so I want to use a rom that has all the Sprint LTE bands enabled. Will any of the AOSP roms work and how stable are the CAF roms? I run a CAF rom on my Nexus 5 and love how smooth it is, but its buggy at times. I would like to use a rom thats pretty stable he really doesn't need a real heavily customizable ROM either. CM12.1 would be great but I see its not on the device yet.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I'm guessing you've been going to the G2 Sprint section. Not much there, you need to go to the generic LG G2 page and then to development from there. Here's the shortcut: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development
If you've got the recovery loaded, you should be ready to go. Just make sure to read the ROM requirements carefully, make sure you have the proper radio and bootstack. You'll find what you want in the link above, the most popular ROM's are mostly Cloudy for stock based, CM, BlissPop and Resurrection Remix for AOSP. I have the LS980 and the AOSP ROMs double tap to wake seems to take 5 taps, but other than that the features can't be beat. I run BlissPop now and have run 3 of Cloudy's ROMs, I like Bliss the best, just wish the DT2W could be fixed.
