Agreed, to be honest I think it's more likely to be early May before they release 2.1, almost tempted to sell the Hero and just buy an unlocked Legend when it's released.

Heh I've given up on trying to educate people on correct spelling and grammar. Too many are of the attitude "well you know what I meant so it doesn't really matter".
My pet hates are of course your/you're and there/their/they're. It would probably take someone less than 5 minutes to get their head around given the correct definition yet incorrect use is rife on the Internet.
My pet hate is the use of the word "loose" when the correct word would be "lose".
For example: "I don't want to loose my settings".

P.S. You could try the Villain 4.0 Beta 2. It seems pretty good and battery life is amazing at the moment for me. It is built from a Legend leak - but does chew up a lot of memory - I suspect that HTC engineers were liberal with memory use because the Legend has a bit more than our Heroes.

There are loads of threads with "possible" 2.1 release dates, and all of them are of less value than a discussion on grammar and spelling. It is especially true of this thread since it is only regurgitating a rumour that started on another thread in these very forums!
Personally, if I were a mod, I'd lock any thread with a purported 2.1 release date because they serve no purpose other than to get peoples dander up when the date inevitably passes with no update!

This forum needs one of those setups where when you starting creating a thread the forum searches for keywords and gives you options of threads that have already been created before creating the thread. Ive seen it done before. They should implement something like that since no one likes to or knows how to use the search feature.

we got 2.1, the only good that can come of this is the brillant dev's here taking the crap sprint dishes out and making something truly awesome. Which is really hard to imagine since DC's current rom is pretty dam on the money, at least for me anyway.
I propose that the next person to post that link be banned.
Ya I would only care from one of these if it was an OFFICAL date from sprint. and then I would just blow it off anyway and continue using my Rom like nothing happened

I think the post is accurate, it does say HTC Hero roll out April 16th FOR Europe though “Nordic/Greek/RUS/UKR/SA” regions. They say it will trickle down to Sprint which will most likely be April 30th which sounds pretty close.
I could've sworn this was a discussion forum about the development of the CDMA Hero. Weird.
I must be lost because these people don't want to know any of the news (which does often include rumors).

A couple of weeks ago i saw a thread on this website and he said he worked at the Motorola services. He said the update would come out on the 27th. I cannot find the thread anymore. I would show you. So i would just wait and see. If not just blame me.

lollipop update is a very confidental project that Motorola's staff really really should be careful to not spread it to public and always keep their mouth off to it

I said if, not when. I say with 100% honesty that there is no soak test ota currently on my phone.
Some people have trouble reading. We call these people illiterate where I am from.
My point that you clearly missed is the OP says its lollipop. It will be funny if it turns out being a VoLTE patch.
Thanks fort posting this. As Luis cavalho said it will be pushed very very soon. I dont know why people keep thinking its vo LTE patches. Lollipop we are getting next week after soak test.
Go ask Motorola for yourselves, it is past the soak test, and is now rolling out in the first wave. As soon as my device gets the update I will post screenshots, but I did provide proof of the Motorola conversation screenshot. I didn't even edit out my name. I stand by my word.
I don't make any rules or break them... I assumed no soak test so therefore no NDA was signed on my part.
I have done a factory data reset and reactivated my phone, signed in, and still no update as of yet for mine, but I assume it will not be long. My guess is it will be on Monday. Soon as in like I asked this morning and that was the response I got. I immediately made this thread in hopes others would have bothered logging in and asking for themselves to reprove me. I will keep the original top part of the thread updated with screenshots and perhaps a YouTube video proving it when the update comes.

I'm not even sure he talked to a CSR. See my prior post. Look at the tabs on his browser. He was invited to soak. He says soak is over but needed a CSR to tell him it was lollipop?

I may be new but trust we are looking for the same thing I get nothing out of lying I have a note 3 n900t and am waiting for the 5.1.1 update like everyone else is that's why I shared this didn't see anything else about it on xda
