Hello,
I just ordered my galaxy tab today and I'm looking for good accessories for it.
I watch a lot of videos from megavideo and I wanted to know it works good on the galaxy tab so I could buy the TV out cable and watch it from the tv.
Can anyone tell me if megavideo works fine on galaxy tab? Because I had another tablet with android 2.2 and the sound of the videos had different timing compared to the video itself.
also anyone knows if the Flash player works fullscreen using the tv out.
Thanks.
yes it does work. i use it all the time. it just depends on your connection. i get a lot of buffering which is annoying as hell but once its going its.....gone! after a lil it works just fine. i use it to watch my anime and i use the video out and it works good.
have you guys tried the Megavideo application? it's still a beta version, but it should work without problems..

please, check it out and let me know your feedback!
The megavideo app works ok... but there is a app "TV Shows Stream" it is very good, check out the trial
If you want to watch movies too on megavideo, use the Megavideo app... and with chrome2phone you can send the links from the Browser directly to the tab and it automatically detects megavideo links
It downloads in flash format... not original Format AFAIK, but good to watch though
I watch quicksilverscreen via TV out just fine

Hi all.
Am having trouble with using files streamed from my Twonky UPnP server, which worked fine on my old Galaxy Tab 7".
As I understand it, the new Tabs still support Divx playback in hardware out of the box - and if I lob an xvid on the internal storage it plays fine in the internal player.
If, however, I attempt to use AllShare to browse my Twonky server and play an xvid, I get "unsupported file format". If I use an alternate UPnP browser app, the files find their way to the video player app but don't play - I get a frame and a burst of sound every ten seconds or so. If I use an alternate UPnP app AND an alternate video player with software rendering, it all works fine - but obviously I'd prefer to use the default player and/or get the benefit of hardware rendering for battery life etc.
Same story with MKVs too - except the software player doesn't have enough grunt to play these, so I'm doubly stuffed on those files with no workaround.
Has anyone got the AllShare/Divx combo working on the new Tabs? If so, how, and using which UPnP server?

AllShare does not work for me as well for video. However, BubbleUPNP and DicePlayer works (with TVersity as the DLNA server).
In fact, it seems to be the ONLY combo that works and believe me, I tried them all!
The best combination I have found for stable and hardware accelerated playback on the Tab 10.1 is:
1. Skifta application as a DLNA client.
2. DicePlayer + DicePlayer Tegra 2 plugin application for playback.
Thanks guys. Didn't think of Diceplayer, had tried pretty much everything else on the market but had given up and assumed nothing had functioning Tegra2 acceleration. Twonky plus Bubble plus Dice for the win - works nice for xvid. Tried an MKV but it was a bit laggy - although it could have been a 1080p, need to check. However, most of my use cases are for xvid playback so pretty happy.
By the way, my tab is an 8.9, but figured that info nugget wasn't relevant at the initial point
I use BSPlayer and regular LAN shares. I have twonky on my NAS, but I always find it easier to navigate a file structure.

Another player I didn't know about - guess I was spoiled by how well the old 7" tab handled video in the stock player. And another nice recommendation - many thanks.
On the Diceplayer front, has anyone got any 720 mkvs running acceptably? The file I tried earlier was a 720. Truth be told it wasn't much better on Dice over UPnP than it was over BS over a network share. Would have expected Dice to destroy BS in terms of performance, what with BS using software decoding over the network.
Which program do you recommend? to see the videos I have on my pc on my iconia, similar to air video server in ios,I've tried some but are unstable and the video stops:good::good:
i use i-media share it stream to my xbox360, my friends playstation 3, and my pc as well as my other androids,. love it, download a 1080p hd movie and watch it perfectly on my flatscreen,
you can get 1080p vids this way with no video issues at all, as the media is not being displayed on the tab it runs seamlessly on the selected moniter "tv,pc,..whatever"
only thing i dont like is its called I-anything lol
i think there is also a way i can stream videos from my dropbox to the flatscreen, without actually downloading the movie :highfive:
ive never has it stop working half way through a movie or audio lag or any problems.

VLC Video Stream & Convert. Not perfect but the best out there. It plays every & with no lag on a wifi or 4g (tether if you must). Also, if you know anything about networks/LAN setup install & configuration is not a huge deal. I use it on my A500 & t-bolt. I would also recommend investing in the pro version. The latter is of course aatter of personal preference.
I use now the app emit,is good!!

Hey you can try Qloud media, i'm using it on my a500, think it's better than airvideo.
It has a free version, seems no difference to it's paid version except ads.

Has anyone has any luck streaming video from your local media servers (PC) using the plex app or any other media streaming app. The apps load up fine but once you select your media to view its just a black screen until you close them. Worked fine on my GS3 and my IPAD. I tend to think its something to do with the app developers not prepared for the 800 processor?

Same issue here. Sorry.
I was able to get media to play by syncing it to be offline, both with this and with Subsonic. But streaming just doesn't work.
Plex works fine for me, remotely or locally up to and including at 1080p. I have the newest PlexPass versions on server and phone.

I can stream on wifi only with plex. Haven't tried anything else.
I am experiencing the same problem and cannot stream video from plex over wifi or mobile data.
Audio works on both, however.

Same problem here. Black screen and no sound. Have had the same issue on a note 2 previously.

Same thing. Black screen, no video or audio (I don't think). Any solutions?
Plex is aware of the issue.
Download MX player, go to settings in plex, choose "device media profile" then select "media profile" and choose "external player". Next time you play, choose MX. It should work. Plex offers this as a temporary issue until they solve the problem.

I've had nothing but problems streaming video with my LG G2 using DSub/Subsonic (utilizing MX Player Pro). Audio works pretty well but the video does not work AT ALL. I've reported this to the MX Player Google group (useless, developer does not respond) as well as the Subsonic forums. So far, no help or advanced troubleshooting has been provided. I guess I'll just hope that someday my brand new LG G2 works as flawlessly streaming video as my iPhone 4 did. :crying:

VLC works fine.
Hello.
So far I've never had difficulties watching videos (via Wi-Fi and using Samsung video player) on my Samsung TV. But I've reinstalled my (custom) Rom and since then my videos displayed on TV have jerky movements. Unfortunately I deleted the Samsung video player and now I have to use screen mirroring functionality that could be the problem. I tried reinstalling the Samsung video player (via different apks found on internet) but it failed.
So, could someone help me reinstall the Samsung video player on my note 3?
Thanks in advance!
