hello guys!, I saw that on samsung galaxy s6 there is a mod that allows you to use two speakers for listening to music, etc. (stereo mod) .., anyone can make it work on galaxy a5 2016?
Yes we need it

Yeah I was also thinking the same
I could be wrong but I can't imagine that there would be any improvement in sound from that little ear speaker. The speakers are also so close together and of different size so i doubt it would give a stereo perspective unless you're right in front of the screen.
I have googled alot for info on both modem and dac used for 7580 board but couldn't find any data for it anywhere. Any one knows what DAC is used?
All I know is that exynos use some low power audio subsystem so that the main core and memory block can go into sleep mode.
Anyway, I've downloaded the modded and original files for s6 to see what changes have been made.
I'll see if I can find any way to edit our xml's to get sound out of that speaker, when I get time.

u actually can get this to work by comparing mixer path

Sorry guys if this is a duplicate but could not fine anything about audio quality.
Iam gonna buy this awesome device but just curious to know from u guys the audio quality for music from headphones (stock or other)
Also i have heard that the loud speaker is quite low. Now how weak would that be. Will it be not able to wake me up when the alarm rings??
Last question irrelevant to the thread title. My ISP in India is Sify. Now they have rpm and non-rpm (sh) based linux dialer. Will any of these work. There is also a free java based dailer with .jar extension where in i pass info like
sify.jar -u xxxxx -p xxxxxx from a batch file in windows.
. which would be the best java emulator to use in Andriod and how? Guys iam new to andriod. Thanks in advance.
actually the loudspeaker is quite load.. louder than my nexus one.. and with audiobooks and music you can get distortion..
plenty loud enough for ringtones etc.
Stunning!
Although I did have a 3rd party headphone buzzing problem that's gone away now......very strange.
The audio quality is absolutly amazing in my opinion. The headphones are very good and i also like the 5.1 option the musicplayer offers. (Sounds like sitting in the middle of the stage)
Via headphones the SQ is indeed excellent, check GSMarena's review - they use objective measures of SQ and the Galaxy S is essentially perfect.
Loudspeaker is tons better than HTCs offerings, I find it outputs quite a nice sound, definitely loud enough for alert/calls/alarms.
Thanks a lot to all of you who took time to answer it.
I have to agree. Speakers are awesome. Also, the amount of native audio codec that the phone supports is nothing short of amazing.
Samsung incorporated their mDNSe (mobile Digital Natural Sound engine) chip inside this phone (its the same audio decoding chip used in their home theater and HD LCD TV's except its a mobile version). It supports 5.1 SRS sound too.
Hey guys! I've found out what Dolby Mobile is really good at doing. So basically I have a Logitech X540 5.1 Surroud Sound System. As you may know, any 5.1 Surround System usually has 3 wires for input:
1)For Front Left and Right Speakers
2)For Center Speaker/Subwoofer
3)For Rear Left and Right Speakers
Of course, you can use the main (green) wire for Left and Right sound. Many Surround Sound Systems feature what is known as "Matrix Mode", where you press a button and the incoming audio from a device that has only Stereo Audio (Which in our is the Desire HD) is converted into 5.1 Channel Sound! But as those of you who've tried may know, it's not that great ¬_¬
Anyways, I don't really use my computer for JUST playing music, as it heats the whole room up in under 15 minutes
So I plug my Desire HD into my Surround Sound Sytem for music since it's a GOOD music player!
So anyways, when you use headphones, and select Dolby, the sound seems a little too "Seperated" and "Wide" and Bassy right? That's what they include SRS for, listening to music through headphones. Now, what is Dolby Mobile for, you may ask? Simple! When you use Matrix mode, it converts 2 Channel Sound so that audio is output through ALL speakers. Generally speaking, it works OK...
Try this! Plug in your Desire HD, don't put on Dolby Mobile just yet and select Matrix Mode on your sound system, or a similar feature. Listen to how it sounds. Now, try the same with SRS! Sounds better, but more bass. Now, try Dolby Mobile! Sound comes through all 5 speakers LOUD and CRYSTAL CLEAR. What Dolby Mobile does is it encodes music as it is playing so that it can be recieved by a Surround System with Matrix, and thus spreads the sound out, so different instruments etc go to different speakers. Creates a really nice Surround Sound System audio from "just" a mobile phone! Try it out, and tell me guys if you notice the difference as much as I did! Oh, and turn the bass and volume up a bit while you're at it
Will definitely try it out... Thats a Plus
Speakers
Wow! I bet that took a while to figure out.
I'll definitely try it out.
This just got me wondering.... if HTC did such a good job at at making the music app on the DHD so good , why.... Seriously why did they did they fall so miserably short of including decent speakers on the phone itself? Even the earphones included in the box can be used better as a shoelace.
This sounds interesting.. So you say that i will need to change some settings on my reciever also?
I bought DHD mainly for this reason when it was released. I have dolby in all my pcs, laptops and now in mobile. And for this reason am still neglecting in switching over to sense 3 ROM.
Or you could go to the Dolby website and actually read the data sheets about dolby mobile.

The speakers aren't really that bad, it's just the defaults that HTC have set the output to that's crap. Look for a thread in the General section called 'actually make your speaker sound good', it shows you how to manually tweak the DSP settings. I found after playing around with it for a while, I could actually get my DHD sounding quite meaty.
How do you connect your DHD to your speakers?
I have gigaworks and would love to see how my DHD sounded on these.
Cheers.

You may have to, or you might not. For my speakers I had to enable Matrix Mode. I'm certain all the good sound systems have that facility, or a feature similar to that.
Found out how to make the sound from your sound systems sound even better! Download PowerAmp, and select the Dolby Mobile option within Poweramp. Also you can change the equalizer and other settings so you can fine tune the sound

Okay so first off some background on the issue.
We all know that the GSII records absolutely fantastic footage at 1080p. Recently, I went to a concert and recorded a few clips. When I watched them at home on my 52" TV, the video was crystal clear but the audio was absolute and utter crap. So after lots of searching and googling, I came across this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172048
One user in partciular, made a comment and posted a video that showed the GSII recording loud audio, but without any of the distortion. He also posted a fix to the issue, but it wasn't properly worded (At least to me it wasn't). I want to get the fix out there, so I've made this thread.

so, i´ve got it!!!
like you remember i´ve bought an y-adapter
this one: http://www.adaptare-shop.de/Handy-+...3_u526_zb0007b8f-efbd-4058-abbe-7d169587d208/
(sorry a german distributor but you´ll find it also in ebay around the world)
and i tried every time with a mic that have a mono jack. Than i used a line signal via two chinch to stereo jack adapter and this worked. So what makes the difference? It seems, that the mono jack only triggered the automatic start of the mp3player. So the S2 think that you push the start button on your headphone Inear set, which is delivered with your phone.
So the right way to use an external mic is connecting a stereo mic with a stereo 3,5 mm jack into this adapter. So i used the standard video tool and a cheap hama stereo mic. of course the audiorecord is only mono but it works! Strike!
The Sound is a little low, but it is ok, if you can normalize it on your PC before
you distribute it.
So check out: Buy a Iphone y-adapter it is also working on the S2 (not on the S)
and use a stereomic with a stereo 3,5 mm jack (called miniklinke).
Thats it.
I hope this would help all following users, that went weird like me.

You can tell, for the first part of the video the audio is normal. The person then unplugs his headphones from the phone and the audio returns to distorted crap.
After running a few tests of my own, I can confirm that this does fix the issue. To a certain extent.
I had the earphones plugged into my phone, played some music really loud and recorded it in 1080p with the phone. The result was crystal clear audio, but due to the quality of the microphone, it didnt have a lot of audacity to it. It sounds like the audio is very dull. When I took the earphones out and recorded some footage, the sound was distorted and crap.
Internal Mic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBXer23YkN8
External Mic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps_gJxUI2Es
So, to fix the issue this is what you can do.
Use your headphone mic and deal with the dullness of the audio.
Buy a Y-Adapter from eBay, and a microphone to go with it (Should not cost you more then a few dollars). Attach to your phone, and you're good to go with a nice mic for good sound quality.
If theres anything else to futher add to this, please reply in the thread and I'll add it.
EDIT: I've just purchased a nice Stereo Mic and a Y-Splitter for my phone. I will report my findings when I get them.
if im not mistaken you now recorded in MONO right?
maybe this is the solution for now??? maybe someone can edit the APK camera file to add option to record in mono mode?
I just ordered an external microphone which seems to utilize the same recording scheme as described: shop.brando.com/flexible-mini-capsule-microphone-for-iphone-3g-s_p03552c0202d033.html - the page claims it supports Galaxy S II, so I will report later.

Sorry, can´t edit my post so i need to make a new Posting:
Regarding the fist Post in this thread and my solution which was refered, you´ll have to take a stereo mic, plugin into the adapter i´ve used. A monomic doesn´t work. This is important for the external solution.
Stefan
Another thing is, that it could possible you need to have an updated Firmware to 2.3.5. My results seems to work only on this version. I remember some problems with the 2.3.3, that i can´t use the orginal headset with the recordings.
but this is not proof! I can´t verify it. May the threadowner could write a word to his version or other user will do that.
So i will have a look on that and post it, if i have a safe answere.
Stefan
Suggestion: can someone fits this thread with the inventor-Thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172048&page=7
same issue and doubleposting or answering in both threads is "costly".
thanks
Stefan
Have you received your stereo mic yet?
EDIT: I can't seem to get my Camera app to record using a mic plugged in? The voice recorder app will, but not the Camera. Does the 'hacked' camera.apk fix this?

Somehow missed this post when reading the thread, I'm on Lite'ning (which is 2.3.4 I believe), so I'll try a 2.3.5 ROM and post back.
SECOND EDIT: Upgraded to CheckROM, now works fine, so it appears that to use an external mic with the stock camera.apk you need to be running 2.3.5 or higher. Might be worth updating your original post to mention that.

Do you use 2.3.5 and a stereo mic. Starts the MP3 player if you connect the Adapter? Important for success is that both are used.

It doesn't seems to work on custom ROM (deodexed, never tested a odex ROM though), but it work on stock ROM (odex). Do not know what's the reason though. I sacrificed custom ROM because of this.
Issue still in 2.3.6?
Can someone who actually use before external mic on our device give me some feedback and link? I am interested in a good external mic as well.
Why don't you try out one of the MicW I models?
http://www.mic-w.com/showpro.asp?id=55&lb=13
- This is the microphone I am going to buy soon. It records audio down to 100hz, so I hope that this will get rid of the horrible distortion we have with our inbuilt mic's. I am planning to make videos of different electronica events, so this model seems good as it is not that super sensitiv.

Not really willing to spend that much on it.

Tested several other custom ROM and none of it can record with our headphone mic. Only work for stock ROM.
Anyone can do otherwise? Please state the ROM name. Wondering whether is it some files needed is deleted or some other reason.

Has anyone tried the Brando Mini Capsule Microphone (or any other mini microphone) on their SII?
Been looking to boost the loundspeaker such as it is found some guides about editting lines in mixer_path.xml, only thing is my file does not have the values that the guides have which is why I asking the question, anybody know how to boost the volume of the loudspeaker ? I know the risks about blowing the speaker so did not want to just add the lines that I found, any advice or an app that is known to boost the loudspeaker ? Thanks in advance
Nobody knows? Or is everyone happy with the loudspeaker volume?
Have tried a few volume boost apps but they don't cut the mustard
I know you can use Kodi for video and audio files and it has an option to boost volume. You can even get a youtube plugin for those of you like. As for app and games no idea.

Hi, if I may, the answer to a louder sound from built-in speaker, as my colleagues have posted can be achieved by Volume Booster, from omega Centauri, a gemini from an reader app they make. Note that to avoid damage it only boost mid frequencies, avoiding bass and high treble. The quality lowers. So, kernels like Perseus, Devil, Shift, I could name the majority, have customized the approach with algorithms that have names like Boeffla, Faux and many others important, that are drivers lile ALSA for Linux or kernel mode WDM for W. And now try a Note 2 N 7100/7105 with and without Boeffla and all will become clear, specially the effort of developers that we admire. Congrats. :fingers-crossed: sorry for the bad english included.
Thanks all for the suggestions, none of them give me a boost that makes it louder through the speaker, , I also forgot that you can boost the system volume with Viper4Android(which boosts the speaker volume fine on my other device a oneplusone), this also does not work on the Nexus 7,I will have to just live with the low speaker volume as I cannot get it any louder
Recently got a US F3521 and flashed over to the Euro firmware. I've really been liking the phone but noticed today that the in-call speakerphone only uses the bottom speaker on the phone. Does anyone know how to get both speakers working or increase the volume?
Also, the audio sounds great coming from this phone in general. I just wish it could be louder...
I believed the sound from either the bottom speaker or from both speakers is decided by the applications.
In youtube & music, I have both speakers output the sound, but the top one is giving smaller volume, however, Skype can only use bottom speaker.
I also flashed a US version with Euro firmware and updated with the latest Nougot Feb update.
Hmm, on both my Z3 Compact and Z5 Compact that was the stock behavior, but by modifying mixer_paths.xml you could force louder volume overall and dual speaker use always. I never made those modifications myself, so I'm not sure, but I bet the same could be applied to the X Compact for louder audio out of both speakers.
i would give it a try, where is mixer_paths.xml hidden ?
For louder audio you can download speaker boost app from play store. Works quite well!!

You can find it in root/system/etc, and if you end up modifying the file or replacing it, you must then set permissions back to rw-r--r--
Arjun in this forum had offered to modify the file (as I'm not sure what changes to make in it), but I haven't rooted and setup my new X Compact yet to pull the file and upload it:
