Can the bixby button, when remapped, be used from screen off? Such as to go direct into camera?

Curious as to whether anyone has attempted to remap one of the 4 buttons on the Shift as an alternate to the power button on the top of the phone.
Personally I can live w/o the "search" button, and if it's remapped to act as a second power on/on toggle, that'd.....be.....awesome.
I think the power button has to be a physical non-capacitive button. The 4 bottom buttons are just part of the screen and so will not respond to a touch if the screen is off.

This is a GREAT idea.
I'd like it if while in the camera app the volume keys worked as camera buttons.

I haven't tried it out yet though.

I know what you mean, like some sort of 'profile' based key mappings.

Downloaded and re-mapped the Volume Down button to work as an alternate Power button (since i just use toggle widgets and settings for volume anyway), and remapped Power button to open Camera. Great app!

there is no way to remap headset button?
i mean use all 3 button for whatever i want
i've only success to map answer button with the app "headset button controller"
i know google reserved vol up and vol down
i hate the long press function too (i want to disable s-voice)
btw there is no way to do this?
generic.kl file editing is working?

... It's exactly the same way with stock.
If you really don't know and you've never used screenshot on stock ROM, the button combo is home+power. Hold the home key (not long enough to bring up the recent apps window) and quickly press the power button.
Note that in CM7.2 this combo does not work, rather there is an option in the power menu (when you press and hold the power button to turn it off/reboot).
Next time, use Search or Google.
