Hi,
I recently moved to India from the US. I have a Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge unrooted Nougat firmware. I am not able to use Samsung pay in India as it is still linked to the US servers. Can someone help me in installing India Samsung pay on my phone?
Thanks
Did you find a solution for this ?
EDIT: I installed the samsung Pay APK as suggested in another forum and it seems to work fine. Not added any credit card as yet, but the application seems fine.
You have to add credit card to see

Anyone can help me? I am staying in India. I have imported S7 edge SM-G935v. It is now with android 7.0 naught. But it has Verizon bloatware, Verizon apps, Verizon boot up logo. It shows some card not from Verizon when I use local GSM sim card in india. Calls, messages work fine. Data is not working. How to use firmware which is open to any GSM card and without Verizon bloatware? PLEASE HELP.
Install the Unlocked firmware from odin. Search for the post in this forum.

Did u just installed apk and not the framework ??
When I installed apk, it crashed on startup.
Cannot install framework, seems protected by Knox

No you have to install the APK that belong to the country the phone is set to. So if the Phone is verizon and set to US, then you have to install the Samsung Pay apk of the US version. And even though it will work if you register your card with the US version of Samsung Pay (international transactions have to enabled for the same). This is not advisable given the amount of credit card fraud that is going on. Also you will never get any of the offers available on the Indian version of Samsung pay.
Regarding the APK of Pay framework I also tried to install that, but it failed. This could be Knox protection at work.
I beg to differ here, I got Samsung pay Citi cashback using Verizon phone and US app, which was showing all US offers.

I bought this unlocked international note 4 with a plan to root it....
However it has already been rooted....
I have ATT for service. The person I got it from had T-Mobile.
When I put my sim in and start it up I can make calls and send text as well as even get online
The problems are as follows:
1. It does not stay connected to the ATT network, I have to repeatedly hit send over and over till it finally makes the call... The same goes for text and the internet...
2. When I made the attempt to re-root the whole thing (mind you I am new to all this rooting...this would only be my second time doing so) I found after downloading all the software needed to do so.... I began to follow the steps provided here on XDA, when I tried to boot with the volume, center, and power key the menu is in Chinese sooooooo
........ So now I'm at a complete loss... I do not know what to do
Please tell me that one of you geniuses out there can help me solve this dilemma.....
I was hoping that just re-rooting this phone would solve my problems........
Thank you guys

*I originally posted this in the AT&T S7 forums unintentionally so posting here as well*
For those of you curious about running the T-mobile firmware on the AT&T version of the edge, it is now possible since they are now using the same bootloader version.
I have an AT&T S7 edge (SM-935A) and recently switched to T-mobile as my carrier. I had to unlock it first so I used the service from unlockunit. It took almost a day for the code but I was then able to pop my T-mobile SIM and sure enough, it worked. Surprisingly, WIFI calling even worked!
At this point, I really wanted to switch to the 935U firmware as I heard it has great battery life as all the carrier bloat is removed. Unfortunately, just before I switched, the recent September update from AT&T raised the bootloader to v4. I learned after the fact you have to disable the update service as it eventually will force you to update. Now I was stuck with the damn AT&T firmware!
I wanted to flash the 935U firmware but the bootloader was still at v2 and T-mobile, so I thought, was at v3. It might be helpful to have a sticky on this forum with the current bootloader versions as it took some time for me to research the following:
AT&T - v4
T-mobile - v4
Verison - v4
Sprint - v2?
Universal - v2
Yes, you read that right, T-mobile just released a new firmware (PIA) which raised their bootloader to v4! You can grab it here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935T/
It's the one with the date of 2016-09-27. I used the prince odin version referenced in this thread for flashing as others failed and gave sha1 errors. http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...g930v-t3411015
If you plan to do this please research how to flash with odin and remember to back everything up! Samsung Smart Switch is a great resource for this.
I've been running on the new T-mobile firmware for just a day but already like it better than AT&T's. I didn't even know AT&T disabled some features of the S7 edge that other carriers kept. Typical for the Deathstar. Can you sense my disdain for AT&T?
For example, with the T-mobile firmware, you can control Download booster (the ability to leverage wifi and LTE simultaneously!) This option was removed from the AT&T firmware. In addition, you can set a preference to WiFi calling. With the AT&T firmware, you have no control and it will only flip to WiFI when in a weak area. It just so happens where I live the AT&T signal is weak so I was always jumping back and forth between the two and it was frustrating not being able to control it. The only way to force WiFi calling is turn on airplane mode when in a fringe area and turn WiFI back on. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.
I'm including some screenshots which show the current firmware running on my SM-935A.
Hopefully we'll see an update to the 935U bootloader to v4 which will allow a switch to that firmware.
Thanks for the info.

no sorry im not clear on what im asking lol. im on (U)firmware but i cant send mms and my ims is not registered. if i go back to (A)firmware everything works fine. so the question is first do you have an origianl att phone? and second if so when you flashed the u firm ware did your mms work or did you alter something to get mms working.
My question is if i remain on att and run the tmobile firmware will the wifi calling work?

Also, is the root method the same and does it still work with new v4 bootloader?

oh ok you arent rooted thats the big missing link lol , im rooted on att variant but have u firmware. sorry thought you were rooted and on u firmware.
So, it sounds like you're saying we can use ATT WIFI Calling after flashing the G930T firmware? Is there anything you lose from G930T? HD Calling for example? Anything else?
Edit: I said 930 because I followed a link here from the 930 forums - I assume it would be the same for the 935, but I'd like to know how it worked on the 935 too.
What are the benefits with the TMOBILE firmware?

It has been written elsewhere that AT&T requires 1) proprietary code [read: ATT ROM] and 2) AT&T-branded phones (IMEI they recognize, also includes some non-ATT such as iPhone/HTC) for advanced calling features to work.
I would bet that VoLTE, WiFi calling, video calling, advanced messaging, etc. do not work with the T-Mo ROM.
On the other hand T-Mo uses more standard VoLTE protocols, etc., so phones like Nexus 6P, 5X, etc. work with VoLTE and WiFi calling just fine on T-Mo.
A bit of history: Even people who got ATT-branded Nexus 6 do not get VoLTE because Google later standardized the N6 ROM therefore without ATT's evil code (and bloat).
ATT has quickly surpassed VZ as the new Evil Empire.

Where did you find the solution, I've tried a couple different versions of odin and no luck. Also, should I be using the "CSC" or "HOME_CSC" in the CSC box?
EDIT: Also figured it out. search for "Verizon S7 / S7 Edge [Root Guide] SM-G930V SM-G935V [NO KNOX TRIP]" in xda to find the correct ODIN version for this.
and the correct file to use in the CSC field is "CSC" even though ODIN says to use the "HOME_CSC"
Do I need to enable OEM unlock?
My girlfriend got an auto update from T-Mobile on her note 7 and it limited her phone to only charge up to 60%. So I found the stock firmware for the previous version and used Odin to flash it over. I also used package disabler pro to prevent future updates. I will link a download to all files from my Google drive as they took wayyy too long to download off of the original site. It will include, the stock firmware (there's 5 parts) Odin (latest version) and package disabler pro. Hopefully anybody reading this is familiar with Odin but if not please ask any questions I'm sure either I or someone else on here can answer them.

It allowed me to disable all of the update packages
can anyone confirm this while i wait for files to download
i was wondering the same thing and what order to do them in I don't see why it shouldn't work honestly i just haven't used oden in forever and don't want to screw it up lol

You'd flash all 5 of the files at once. The slots on the right in Odin are labeled (for example) ap; you'd select the file I uploaded that starts with ap same with bl, csc etc.
For some reason it won't let me post a screenshot but the packages you'll want to disable are the 2 that say Software Update and one that says UrgentFWUpdateTSP

Thanks, I don't think it will work, for now I'll just be happy with PI4 and able to fully charge it. They must have done something to the bootloader so as not to flash, which makes sense because they don't want you to charge above 60% and they want the phone back...I never had this problem flashing my S5....or S4....[emoji36]

Just got a brand new verizon S7 (since my aunt did not want it). I am on Tmobile and have no plans to change to Verizon. I popped in my Tmo sim and it works, but I guess I am still missing Band 12 and maybe wifi calling. It has been a while since I have done custom roms and rooting. I would appreciate some pointers as these are my criteria
1) Need all the bands possible to be used on Tmobile
2) Samsung Pay and android Pay
3) Root is not required for what I do and sometimes my wortk email will not install when it snifs root. (it used to on my S5 2 years ago)
Right now I am on G930VVRS4APH1 (BASEBAND VERSION and build)
Looking for advise on what I should do. I read too much and am confused about being in bootloader V3 or V4 and not able to get back . I am familiar with Odin and TWRP etc, but have notg kept up with the community. With my S6 I have mostly stayed stock.
Help me out folks if you can and especially with links and what firmware and ROM to install.

I was in your situation as well , since I got a Verizon Galaxy S7 from a deal at Best Buy , but I needed to used it on T-Mobile . Use this post from XDA forum to find the latest firmware version :

I also used this guide as well :

However, I suggest d/l 'ing the USB drivers from Samsung website directly, instead of the source cited in that website (seems suspicious). Also, having SmartSwitch on the PC saves so much time to backup your current phone's contents, believe me!
Hope that helps.

Yes, I just flashed my "Verizon" s8 and it's now a "TMO" s8 with all TMO bands working.

I honestly don't have the device I sold mine so flash at your own risk bootloaders might be the same or just wait for other users to test worst case you will need to flash to original firmware .. just make sure you have a backup firmware if it fails at some point
Hi, I tried downloading this however all the links and mirrors result in an unexpected end of archive

Got it cheap on swappa. What's the difference? They are all the same hw, just different SW.
@MicroMod777 That's a very good question I was doing some test on it but I sold my S8 and S8+ for a good price ... I'm actually making it have to have adb by default without OEM enable meaning I'm able to remove google accounts of it don't tell me how I do it ... just wait couple of days unless somebody else is working on it already ...
If I flash from att to tmo, I still have to network unlock it while in att firmware. Is there a way to do that without a tmo sim card? Usually u cannot enter unlock code without a different carrier sim inserted

If you flash from ATT to TMob, is SIM unlocking even still necessary for it to detect a TMob SIM?
It's great to see the firmware is under 1GB in size! That means we'll be able to slim it down to maybe about 500mb way slimmed down!

Sadly it seems corrupted. I tried from a few mirrors and I can't unzip using windows or 7-zip.

That's why the DL was only 1GB. Its actually 2GB........theres goes my slim firmware dream lol
On another note, does TMO boot still have the awesome white screen you could morris code to outer space with and the TMO jingle that you can hear in outer space also? Its annoying as heck, when your working on your phone trying to be quiet and not light up the whole house when your phone boots.
