Hello to all,
this is my second galaxy tab 10.1, first I bought the 10.1V which I must say was much more simple that the 10.1...
I bought in 15 August the new 10.1 with 3G, now I ve read here in the foruns that there is an touch Wizz update, how do I know which version of touch wizz Im running?
I m only used to work with vanilla android...this stuff touchwizz is killing me!!!
I have this one:
Baseband version: P7500XXKG7
Kernel Version: [email protected] #1
Build Number: HMJ37 P7500XWKGC
Please any help would be much appreciated,
Best Regards,
I think you made a typing error with the build number, if yours is Build Number P7500XWKG9 then i had the same version.
Yesterday i was in a shop that just started selling GT10.1 and the demo unit had P7500XWKH3 on it.
In development section you can download a even newer leaked version. This is P7500XWKH7.
I haven't received any updates yet and i haven't seen anyone else who has received a update for P7500. I don't know why Samsung doesn't push those updates out, as they clearly have never firmware available then we have.
I don't like waiting, so i updated to the leaked P7500XWKH7 from the development section.
Actually, I've also purchased a P7500 from T-Mobile Hungary and it also has the build number: HMJ37 P7500XWKGC (baseband: XXKG7).
It's a sim lock model.
When I connect the tab to my PC and start KIES it says: " This firmware of device cannot be updated".
The device was supplied with this rom and is unrooted (yet).
I'm new to this device (and SM in general) and I have owned a Nexus 7 (2012) wifi and so this lack of (stable) original development for SM-T23X is a bit too much for me to take in.
Can anyone here give me a quick rewind of what's happening?
I have a SM-T231 (Cellular Model of T230) purchased here in India with 4.4.2 (T231XXU0ANE2) with date of 7 May, 2014 - no earlier build exist for my region.
From what I've been able to gather, the lack of development is chiefly because of the Marvell Hardware with a cap on the Kernel Size. But still, I see 3 different versions of TWRP in the forum (partly working, need advice). So can we say that we're close to getting a stable recovery environment?
And last question, since no other previous firmwares are available for my region - what should I do to gain root?
Hi Folks
Ive just picked up a pre-owned U Ultra, which is BNIB...
I bought it as Unlocked..
What is the latest Unlocked UK firmware and Google security patch?.
Thanks all
Allow me to answer, even though mine is a European unlocked single sim U Ultra...
Build #: 1.64.401.3
Security patch: 1st July 2017
Thank You friend.. Much appreciated for that, thats exactly what Ive got.. so thanks..
The reason I asked was when I look around the web and XDA all of the EU/UK updates state its still on 1.62.401.1.. I just wanted to check that someone hadnt installed a non-EU/UK rom.
So 1.64,, mustve been just the July security patch..
I know since the M8 / 9, HTC have done most of their updates over Google Play.. but July seems quite an old security patch for a 6 month old flagship device.
Thanks
You're welcome! I had the exact same question when I bought mine.
HTC is rather punctual regarding their updates. The only reason that can explain the security patch delay is the forthcoming oreo update. Fingers crossed...
Just got a zte axon mini from a friend it is on 5.1.1 lollipop and I want to update to 7.1.1 it is a Australia device I have looked every were and no download available.........
IT SUCKS THAT THE REST OF THE WORLD HAS TO PAY FOR THE SANCTIONS THAT THE US HAS PLACE ON ZTE........
Axon Mini or Axon 7 Mini? Those are two different devices. And if I'm correct, the Axon 7 Mini (the forums you are actually in) ships with Android 6.0, and not 5.1.1.
So, you mean the original Axon Mini, which has never gotten past 5.1.1. Sorry.
Hi,
does anybody know why the A20e isn't in the list of eligible devices for 4 years of security updates even though it was released in 2019 and the article states that devices from 2019 should be eligible?
Thanks,
Tobias
