Is anyone else experiencing slow LTE download\upload speeds after updating to Nougat compared to MM?
Granted my HTC 10 is a special case.....
My HTC 10 is an unlocked US version that I converted to a full featured VZW version. With the bootloader unlocked and s-off, I changed my CID and MID to VZW. I followed this by flashing a Verizon RUU that ran MM for quite a while before I took the Verizon OTA update to Nougat (about a week ago).
I've noticed LTE speeds run slow in the same locations where speeds with MM ran much faster. For example, at home running MM I would get at least 20-30mpbs down , with Nougat speeds are less than 5mpbs. I am experiencing this slow down in different locations, not such at home.
Just curious if anyone else is in the same boat as me. I am thinking about wiping the phone but I am waiting for the VZW Nougat RUU to be available.
Could it be that the VZW OTA didn't provide a new, more compatible radio? It seems like I have the same radio version as in MM.
Any thoughts?

Also seeing a decrease in network speeds since Official Nougat release.
Ruu isn't going to change that, as you have the Nougat radio, based on what you posted.
To be honest, I feel the radio/build combo from the pre release that I had posted(2.41.605.6) was better.
About to see how my latest port from US Unlocked HTC 10's latest March Security update(2.46.617.x) from this week, does in comparison...

Much improved in my opinion/experience.
Not to mention, the Bluetooth bug that's present in the Verizon release (toggle airplane on and then off > Bluetooth turns itself on) is not present in my latest port.

Flashed your port yesterday and have noticed a slight increase in network speeds. Will definitely keep your port running for quite a while. Definitely much smoother and snappier than the stock Verizon RUU.
Enjoying the baked in Magisk , I'm having no issues with Android pay and root. Thanks a lot for working to put this together, it's truly appreciated by myself and I'm sure the community!
So would running the .6 firmware with the .12 ROM fix the LTE speed problem? Would that even work?

Yeah lol. Even when tons of folks like me left for the pink network. No regrets here whatsoever.

I'm on a Verizon branded that i just upgraded to 605.12 running LeeDroid. I didn't think to test the LTE speeds since I'm on Wifi most of the time but i just ran a few tests from various sites and the best i could do was around 4 to 5 mbps. I'll test it when i get home where i know for a fact I've pulled much faster.

Edit:
SORRY JUST REALIZED OTHERS ALREADY GOT IT DELETE OR WHATEVER I AM SORRY.
So I checked for updates and it showed me that V10b-JUN-11-2015 is available. Says something about a Google Patch and improving usability. Anyone else got it or knows what exactly it does? Am downloading atm, it is avout 180MB.
So... u r using H815T model? And what are the improvements u have noticed so far?
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
If you have the H815 you might as well update as with the official unlocked bootloader you do not have to worry about losing Root Access.
I for one have the US991 though, so I refuse to do any updates that *could* patch whatever *might* be in my launch firmware that could be used as an exploit.
I did update. Didn't notice anything. Doesn't affect touc issue...

Getting the 160MB update for the Verizon model claiming it is security updates.
The only options for receiving this update was Install Now or Install Later and you can set a time for when to install it later.

and my software still says modified after the update.
Well I updated. H815T model. And although I don't see any major improvements, but I probably notice a bit more fluidity here & there as well as tad better touch response. But point to b noted, my phone was already optimized by all those settings changes & app blocking that guys have advised for better experience with G4.

So it seems Nexus 6p has trouble joining some public WiFi networks depending on the network config on android 6.0 marshmallow. The problem seems to be a little better on nougat 7.0 which I'm running but ultimately I had no of these problems running Kit Kat on the same wifi networks.
so I'm gonna say this is a google software bug.

Biggest culprit is NYC's MTA owned "TransitWireless" my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime usually connects fast (within 2-3 seconds of detecting the network). It happens on stock MM and also on the Dirty Unicorns ROM I'm on right now. any thoughts? Thanks!

Have you tried flashing any radios in fastboot? That would be a good starting point to see if you get better wifi performance.

Hmmm, my only question would be how often are the radio's updated? per monthly rollout, only asking because tthis behavior seems consistent across several ROM's including stock.

Looks like every few months, maybe 4 months according to the 6P Index thread below. I use a 5X and we get a new radio about the same rate. Won't hurt to try any of the previous ones to see how it fares. Must flash them via fastboot, of course.

So it's still been an issue for me. I tried a few different radios and went between some different ROMs. Same problem, whenever I try connecting to Public WiFi (even ones I've connected to in the past) phones takes a long time to connect. on rare occasion it doesn't connect.

Hmm, another suggestion is to enable "Legacy DHCP" in Developer Options if you're still using Marshmallow. I know this option is removed from 7.0, so I'd hold off if I were you.

usa is in planet Mars for Samsung nothing in time
I know the update is in "Tmobile Testing" and we are at the mercy of T-Mobile and their snail ? pace... But any inside scoop on the status? Maybe from someone who works on the inside?

Anyone that is too impatient to wait like me check out the Post by r3xx3r on "How To" put the AT&T Nougat Firmware on the T-Mobile GS7 it was a total success for me. Obviously flashing comes with it risks but I can attest that it does in fact work perfectly fine. Cellular/Data ect..
Cheers ? all credit goes to r3xx3r and anyone else who made this happen!

I am actually quite pleased with the battery life on this AT&T firmware easily getting all day. Battery life on Nougat has been reported to be 10% less on average than Marshmallow. I'm thinking I may stay on this firmware for some time. Out here in the Caribbean constantly roaming, this firmware even lets me use Hotspot which is somthing that I could not use with the native Tmobile firmware
Just updated to the official this morning. Extremely smooth. So far, so good.
Yes, the nougat update is out. It is quite polished and runs very smooth.
Agreed worth the wait

Just checked for a software update manually and it allowed me to download nougat!!! Update weighs in about 1.4 GB
Mine automatically downloaded , was not in beta either.
Same here! Thanks for the heads up.

Maybe, but the update doesn't get rolled out to everyone at the same time. It's a phased release. Supposedly everyone will have it by the end of the month.
Nougat arrived!!!
My fiance and I received Android N today. It is 7.0 of course. So far we like it. Runs smooth and looks different. A lot more options now. Battery seems fine for us as well. I manually checked for update and it was available and same for my fiance.
Per the title, it seems that we Sprint U11'ers may be off the list for the latest update from the original 1.03. Can anyone differ based on receiving it?
We Sprint users are usually a little behind the US Unlocked version when it comes to upgrades. They will come, just need to be patient. When they do become available the Sprint forum is always on top of it.
What is rolled into the update? Mine has been superb this far.

the US Unlocked has had 2 OTAs so far, minor changes, the latest added some verizon files...the Sprint version is pretty solid, I would assume the next update would add Alexa & updated Edge Sense
. . . and a more recent Google security patch?!
